This place is like a Greek Chipotle! I love the concept, but I’ve had much better Greek food in Rochester. It was nice to be able to pick exactly what I got in my rice bowl. I got it with double veggies, tomatoes, lettuce, and the tahini dressing(which is always delicious). It was a great place to stop at for lunch since I didn’t have a lot of time and wanted a healthier option… I would definitely recommend that others try it out!

College Town Mt. Hope location. 6÷16÷16 went for lunch and had the most rude manager ever. I go there for good food but with this instance I am seriously not returning. SERVICE or lack of it. As I began my order I asked what is Mossaka. The manager and also the person taking my order said we are out of it, mind you that it’s only 11:50ish in the morning. I said I just wanted to know what it is. He said, it’s this ground meat thing. I said what comes with it and how it’s made. He looked at the line(10 people behind me, 4 of those people are with me) and said I have a lot of people to move along. I said to myself WTF, I am not at a soup kitchen, I really wanted to tell him, does he wants my business and rather cut short the line and me and my 4 friends take our business elsewhere so that his line is not so long? I bit my tongue as I did not want to inconvenience my friends having to go somewhere else and reiterated my question. I heard you and that you are out of Moussaka, but I want to know what it is for future order. He said it’s meat and nothing else. I have enjoyed each time I’ve been here up until today. If your goal is to improve service by shortening the line, you got it, you now have one or possibly more less in line as I intend to take my business elsewhere especially with such rudeness from a manager of all people. Oh! I asked the person who cashed me out what his role was(that’s how I know he’s a manager), the person said he’s not a great person in general. Good luck with your business with this ass in charge.

So happy I was introduced to this gem. Saha has three locations and I hate to equate them to such a mainstream company, but they are basically the Chipotle of Mediterranean food(but better and probably healthier and not a nation-wide chain although if they became one they would have a cult following). Rant over. Obsessed with this place and will definitely be frequenting it even though it’s out of the way. SAHA, COMETOWEBSTER!

Very tastefully designed. Bright and airy. A much healthier, but pricier, alternative to other casual restaurants in the area.

Used to like this place but Zeb(Jeb?) and Julia assured I won’t return. Not a single other guest in the restaurant and ordered a lamb bowl. They said the lamb would be out shortly and so I said please make it medium rare. I saw at first I couldn’t even see my eggplant but Julia said it’s in there. It was and was about the size of a quarter. 15 Minutes later Julia suddenly remembers I’m here after walking over halfway to the table and then darts back into the kitchen and gets me a small portion(about 4oz) of lamb that I’m pretty sure are the same old bits that were sitting dry when I got there. She said that’s what they serve and went to the bathroom. At that point I was pretty much done with the quinoa and the rest was cold anyway. I went up to Zeb and asked him to slice me off a side of the Gyro meat and he said I would have to wait a moment. Well I went back to the table and every few minutes kind of figured he would just slice some off and bring it over. When Julia returns from the bathroom he tells her to do it. She then proceeds to not even head towards the gyros, cuts some stuff up, takes an order for another customer and then starts messing with glasses. Now I’m upset enough to go back up and ask her about my side of gyros since I already got screwed on the eggplant and the lamb and she says«oh yeah I can put this order in for you» you’re supposed to pay for it first. At this point I’m extremely annoyed and just told her the service plainly sucks. Either these two were not trained at all in the hospitality space or they simply don’t care at all. Again there was no one there the whole time since except for the 1 patron that came in mid meal and there was no reason for the timing and the seeming complete lack of awareness or service to be the way it was. I guess it’s Aladdin’s for life. Compare this to my last glowing review when the servers actually gave a crap about customers enjoying their meal.

The food wasn’t bad but the service is terrible. My husband ordered lamb bowl and they forgot to bring the lamb out he went back and check on it and they finally brought it out. It wasn’t busy or anything just the two of us. My grilled chicken pita wrap was good.

Subpar food — and guy behind the counter had an attitude. Their portions are now shrunk in half from before and frankly you can get a much better meal for much less elsewhere.

I haven’t been since they opened but am glad I went back — I’ve had their salad with falafel, wraps, lentil soup and spanakopita — I thought they were all great! No complaints about anything. The prices are nice and so are the staff. 5 Star.

The food is fresh and delicious but we were bummed to see it will only be table service for dinner and counter service for lunch. Soooo with that info we won’t be going for dinner any more. We enjoyed the casual atmosphere and not having to tip. Kept the evenings cost to a minimum. Also it a yummy fast meal.

I’m a sucker for good Mediterranean food but unfortunately has yet to find it in many of the places that I’ve tried around New York state that this was one of the better ones. After seeing the salad my friend had gotten from there I decided to check out what they had to offer I just had to get a gyro. I’ve gotten one twice and haven’t been disappointed yet. The ‘pick your topping’ set up they have makes it deceptively easy to get a pretty loaded gyro without much effort. They are very generous with the meat and toppings so you will be satisfied. The food tastes fresh and the service is decent(they have a young girl who seems like she does most of the work) but overall I would definitely return again.

Just tried this place for the first time and we will be back. Ordered a couple salads and the hummus. Both were fantastic!

Stopped in for lunch on a recent weekend. The food was slightly less than average. Better Greek food can be found elsewhere. Their menu is pretty simple and clear. The style of service is like a «Greek food Chipotle.» You choose your menu item, watch as they create and then pay at the end. The ambiance is modern and clean. We are told that the weekends are pretty dead and that the neighborhood work crowd increases the volume of customers. The chef had outstanding customer service. He walked us through the menu and answered our questions. We had a shrimp pita, beef pit and a side item plate with falafel, hummus and spanikopita. Everything totaled over thirty dollars not including beverages for lunch. Keep in mind this is not a sit down restaurant with full service, but a cafeteria styled one instead. Bottom line: better Greek can be found at Aladdin’s or Astoria.

Saha Med Grill. How shall I start. I was happy about the comfortable & clean ambiance as I walked in. It seemed like a place where people came to have a lovely fresh(luncheon for me) meal. It was clean, with a modern décor type walk up that cost what a sit down does. Loved the place, tho. Now for the food, I had the appetizer plate($ 4 ea dish) w/tabbouleh(not that fresh), spanakopita(nothing special), hummus(that was nicely prepared w/fresh out of the bag chopped up pita(grill please). The biggest disappointment, the falafel. It was dry, dry, dry, even with dressing to soak them in. My dh soaked them in his delicious bean soup & he felt that did the trick. Yeah. The owner, Sami Mina has a really nice start for an upgraded walk-up restaurant w/healthy fresh type food for up to enjoy. Some tweets will be welcome. For now, I will return to Aladdin’s, Another one of Sami’s eateries same food, better prepared. I would like to return in few months because… I believe!

First time there with 2 other friends, looking forward to it, loved the inside, until we arrived at the counter and there was no one in the dining area. We waited for the preparer to come take our orders, again no one in the place. He finally comes down, we placed the order and he literally could not get it right, of course the football game was one, and that seemed very important to the staff. As I regress, he still did not in the end get our order right. We wanted the eggplant topping and he gave one chili and one eggplant. So 1 was wrong. Then we ordered 2 Peronis and a glass of Cabernet Sav, I got a glass of with Sav Blanc. And the food was very bland. $ 68 plus tip. I will go to Chipotle next time.

OMG! The food here is outstanding! Really generous portions! I was briefly taken aback when I realized I had to place my order at a counter, but the menu board is perfectly organized and making a selection was a breeze. The young men who created our meals were very friendly and accommodating. Outdoor seating on a perfect fall day was a bonus! Love it here. Will definitely be back! The Unilocal listing says closed Sundays — but they are definitely open!

If your a like Mediterranean food you have come to a good place. The food is fresh and the restaurant is clean. For me these two are must haves. The menu is basic and non complicated but everything on there is busting with flavor. Totally payed back dinning area. In the summer you can eat outside. Soon the grapes will be surrounding the outdoor dinning area and give it s better feel. I had the gazpacho today and it was very good. Split a large salad with my wife and had a great meal. Extremely friendly service and I have seen the owner here must times.

Have you guys heard much about Smell-o-vision lately? I think the idea might have subordinated itself to the 3D and curvier models. It’s a shame considering that to smell something delicious as much as to see and hear and even taste makes for a complete experience. Maybe that’s why I like coming to Saha Med so frequently these days. It’s smells so darn good when you walk in, about as much as it looks good. You can smell your experience before it happens and it’s rather transporting – or at the very least it transports me to the counter to place my order… very frequently these days. The restaurant that smells good and looks good is now only doing counter-service – kind of like a Mediterranean Chipotle. You can order from the huge menus above the registers, slide down to watch your food being put together, and pay at the end. I enjoy the interactive meal experience because in speaking with the chefs, I learned that a «deconstructed» falafel wrap is an option(not on the menu). The falafel(which comes in a tasty trio, each about the size of a big meatball) is dotted with sesame seeds, inside is in-between that beige and green color, tastes good and is not at all dry. With the«deconstructed» all the normal ingredients will come on the side, including pita(can be cut into triangles), tahini, tomatoes and my favorite: the julienned pickles. These things are so special to me. They’re pretty, briny, and a perfect side to my deconstructed sandwich. My go-to sides are the dolmades(love, even though the tzatiki/yogurt dip is a little watery), and the tabbouleh. They also offer for beverages the flavored San Pellegrino, in addition to fountain drinks and even alcoholic beverages, and traditional desserts like baklava. This place is seriously beautiful for a quick service falafel joint. If you don’t want to hang around, they’ll pack it up quickly for you to go. It’s another heathy option for lunch or dinner that will surprise you when you walk in. I hope that it keeps thriving.

Came here for dinner and we were expecting it to be an order at the counter and get called for your food kind of thing. That’s what they do for lunch, but dinner must change over to full table service… Sort of. The server was nice but not especially personable. She brought the appetizer and salad/soup out very quickly but left us there without silverware. My bf ended up going over to the kitchen area to get it for us, the manager was standing right there but didn’t seem to notice. Later, he came by and grabbed all our stuff, asking if we wanted coffee or dessert & we had not yet gotten our entrees. He had already taken everything off the table so he apologized and hurried to the kitchen area(completely open kitchen here) to check on it. Just then the server was bringing it out. She dropped it off and again(!! haha) did not give us silverware, and the manager who took it didn’t bring any over either, we pulled the old eye-contact/raise your hand slightly– move on her next pass and asked for it, she kindly apologized again and got some. As for the food, the spanakopita was alright, nothing special, my salad was good but a little greasy(too much oil), and my falafel pita was guilty of the common falafel crime of being too dry. A little tzaziki would have fixed it right up, I think. The pita bread itself was some of the toughest bread I think I’ve ever encountered, I had to bite down, grip the pita and tear with my teeth for every bite. That part was not enjoyable, but I’m going to chalk it up to going in 45 mins before close and give this place another try… but definitely just for lunch, since that’s what this restaurant seems more geared towards.

Very much enjoyed the food from Saha during a catered group event. Wanting something different than pizza, I stumbled across Saha’s beautiful website and catering menu. Reasonably-priced with a number of options, we chose a selection of falafel, chicken shawarma and lamb shawarma pitas. In addition, we ordered a couple of large salads and Saha platters(hummus, baba, grape leaves and falafel). The food was delicious. I was impressed because of 3 notable things: 1) The pita bread was not chewy. This is one of my major pet peeves with Mediterranean restaurants. When warmed up or microwaved, the pita bread generally turns into dehydrated chomp-chomp mess. This pita bread was light and moist yet still had enough substance to support the fillings. 2) The meat was incredibly tender. I’m not usually expecting shawarma or kebab meat to be moist or tender. It’s typically somewhat dried-out(particularly when delivered in bulk), but if there’s enough Tzatziki, this sin can be mitigated. These pita rolls, however, contained a large amount of tender, well-seasoned meat. A lovely change from what I was expecting. 3) The feta cheese was slightly melted. I love this! It makes a huge difference in terms of flavor and taste. Complemented the meat wonderfully. 4) Falafel wasn’t too oily. Good flavor. Overall, I would choose Saha again and again for a catered group experience. Easy delivery, easy ordering and delicious food in abundance. I’m eager to check out the restaurant itself in the future.

This place is right around the corner from my office, so I checked it out today. Really poor decision. Got the falafel pita, which came with about half the amount of tahini sauce that would be required to offset the extremely dry falafel, and extremely dry and chewy(stale?) pita. It also came with a few chopped tomatoes, some onions that were halfway between raw and cooked, and — pickle slivers. Dunno who thought pickle slivers would be a good addition to falafel, but that was hardly the worst part of this ill-conceived wrap. Between the pickles and the falafel itself, this sandwich was unbearably salty. I mean, inedibly salty. Mind you, I love salt — I put salt on everything — and I couldn’t even eat this. Tasted to me like one of the cooks misread the recipe and added the wrong amount of salt. I didn’t finish the sandwich, although I forced down half of it because I’d spent $ 9 on it and was very hungry. But I’m just kicking myself for not having gone to Aladdin’s. It’s a shame, because the place has a lovely interior and the menu looked promising. If the food were a lot better, and a bit cheaper, I’d probably be a regular there. Now, If you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go chug a gallon of water and maybe make an appointment to have my kidneys checked.
