Savers are always worth a visit. I live in VIrginia and like to go to thrift stores when I travel. This store was a little messy but had lots of stuff. I found one bargain. Prices were high on some items.

I dropped off some items, and the person collecting them put my 2 boxes and 1 large bag of clothing and household items in one of 3 overflowing big bins sitting outside their collection door. I specifically stated the boxed items were antique glass. The employee placed them precariously on the tippy top of one of the over stuffed bins. Around 2 hours later it rained. Hard. Fast forward to the next morning — the 3 bins were still sitting outside.

This is a clean, organized, and nice sized savers. They have a nice selection of books, cd’s, clothing, seasonal. I haven’t had much luck with actual furniture but found some good deals and treasures here…

although the place had a funny smell to it this is a place I go for all workout t-shirts. you can find them as low as 2 bucks. Some of the nicer ones are 6 to 7 bucks. but I never pay more than 3.

I almost never find good thrift finds here, plus it feels grimy and gross and smells weird. Rochester really is the worst place to thrift shop that I’ve found; no deals to be found, most especially not at Savers.

I love this Savers. Love it!!! Why? Because it’s in Rochester. And because in Rochester, the hipster ratio is down in numbers which means I can still buy all my grandma clothes and funky shit because it isn’t completely overpicked like the locations in the metro area. It’s usually fairly chaotic and messy, but that is ok, I like it that way. Staff are helpful, but hardly present, which is fine. I like digging on my own without help or nuissance from staff. Long lines at the register, but, whatevs.

I struck the jackpot on their 50% off CD sale! I got Op Ivy, Rancid, SKEE-LO(!!!), and a few others for 75¢ sale! While I may sound stoked about this store, it’s more on the sale. The store is middle-run thrift. I wouldn’t rush here everytime I’m in town, just if I had time.
