The Worst service. Period. Ignored by the clueless bartender for 10 minutes. And only 5 people at the bar. I walked out. Used to like going there. Never again. If the management had half a brain they would clean house. But its poorly managed to allow this insult of a sports bar to function like the crap hole it is. Zero stars.

Gotta hand it to this location. Went here for a work meeting and they took care of us from the second we walked in the door to the second we walked out. Distillery wings are some of the best. Grilled. Bomb! Other things on their menu that I really enjoy — veggie burger, hummus, and Irish nachos. The red sangria was also very good! It’s busy at this location so make a reservation if you can. It fills up quick and it stays filled. A fun, casual, low key night for dinner and drinks!

We had an awesome server Julie c. that was informative about the specials and descriptive in her explanations of the menu items! She had an energetic vivacious smile that made you want to stay. The coffee with baileys was a perfect warm up from a chilly day looking at flowers in highland park. Many of the cocktails were bogo Including mimosas, bloody Mary’s, margaritas, and sangria! Not the coffee! The wings were half price all day until 3 pm, both grilled and fried! We had garlic Parmesan and sweet and spicy! Both were delicious and you can’t beat the price! I will have to remember what a great place this is for Sunday specials! I will look for Julie again too!

Certainly not my favorite spot for drinks or food, but it was close in proximity to a work function, so that’s where we headed immediately after. Parking was not ideal. The overage has to street park or head to the sub shop next door. We ended up ordering the 2-for-1 margaritas. The option was to either have both delivered at the same time, or, a double shot in a single margarita. The served explained… «that’s how they keep track». Ordered 5 sweet and spicy wings and 5 medium. They were okay… but not the best. The fried pickles did not come out with the wings. The served explained that they burned our first set of pickles, but the next set will be out shortly. They arrived via manager delivery. Upon initial inspection, the color of the«fried» pickles was an off-white, meaning… under cooked. We tried a few and they were overly greasy and flavorless. Needless to say, we did not finish them. Overall, our server was nice, the food was mediocre, and the drinks were okay. I would never choose this place to go to intentionally for a «night-out»… but rather out of convenience as we did this particular visit.

This was my first time at this location and i have to say i liked it better than Greece. They had a great sugarcookie martini and we had a wonderful waitress.

The bartender was great made our night great but the bouncer or hostess idk what he was but he was IDing everyone who came in even if it was to just sit and dine with no drinks. Super rude and loud. Watched him kick out people who walked by him to go to the bathroom. I found it super strange to ID everybody who came threw the door. If I was a minor would I have been allowed in?

Well, the service was good. The beer was excellent. But the food was meh. I mean, who puts WHOLEMUSHROOMS in a burger? And so when I took them off to just ate them plain, there was a funky flavor to them. I think the mashed potatoes were supposed to be garlic smashed redskin but it was almost a stale taste to it. The poutine was really good though despite the filmy stuff in the gravy. I just scraped it to the side. So I guess my recommendation is to go there for beer and football because they have so many tv’s.

The service here was not great. I think our server was new, but did not do a good job of keeping us updated about our food or drinks. Most of the stuff on the menu didn’t seem too appetizing, but I got an egg grilled cheese sandwich that was really good. I don’t know if I would come back, because I was disappointed with the beer selection as well.

More like 2.5, I used to consider The Distillery a solid spot to grab drinks and appetizers but now I’m not so sure. We ordered nachos and buffalo chicken strips on the last visit, the guacamole on the nachos was partially frozen giving me a clue to the freshness of everything else. The chicken strips had a weird texture almost as if they were microwaved? It had been quite some time since my last visit and I used to always order the buffalo style calamari but that’s no longer on the menu :(. On the bright side they continue to offer great drink specials and promotions, but for me the food leaves much to be desired.

Doing 1lemon drops. 2 Irish car bombs, 1 liquid cocaine, 1 Bacardi shot, 1Yager bomb, a Mind Eraser 13-Wise men. Felt all that the next day. Lauren the server was very attentive and awesome. ! No reviews for this visit. Don’t remember. But it was a pleasant visit.

Had lunch today with a few buddies. We sat at the bar and found the game we were looking for. Ordered our drinks and waited… and waited… finally two of us got our beers, but not the dude drinking the Dew. A solid 10 minutes before the bartender even can near us so we could grab her attention. She seemed annoyed that we reminded her about the Dew. We got our food quick, but most people like to have utensils and napkins, but not this bartender. She slapped our appetizer down and walked away. 5 minutes later she was once again annoyed at our audacity to ask for silverware and napkins. Drinks were downed for a while before she noticed. She got our beers quick and said she would grab a refill on the Dew(which would have required her to reach down and grab the soda fountain) but she must have forgot on the one second and walked away. 10 minutes later she came back and asked if we needed anything so we reminded her about the Dew… she«oh right, I’m so sorry,» but then walked away again! A few minutes later she came back with the bill, but my buddy asked for his Dew again. This time she got it, but seemed annoyed again. Food was great. Atmosphere was great. Service sucked.

Love love love there nachos, in my opinion best in Rochester. The Mt. Hope location has the best food among the other locations. You can’t beat there happy hour — half price appetizers after 9pm! Great place to go to with friends, family, co workers ect… overall highly recommend.

I only come to the Distillery to watch college football games. There are numerous TVs in the restaurant, which makes it very easy to watch your favorite team. The staff are attentive. Not a fan of their food though. The wings are probably the best game watching food option. If you like spicy wings, they have a ghost sauce that will make it feel like you burned a hole in your stomach.

Ordered the highly recommended hot wings for take out. The employees didn’t seem to care one way or the other that I had walked in, and then disappeared to «look» for my wings. I don’t know, it was weird. Anyway, the wings were yummers. Could have been much spicier in my opinion, especially for being hot wings, but the flavor was nice and the wings seemed high-qual to me. $ 40 for $ 20 wings seemed a tad on the pricey side, but not ridiculous, esp since each wing is pretty generously sized. Do recommend, though I wasn’t blown away.

I have been to this place so many times since it is in close proximity to University of Rochester and thus a decent place to grab a bite for me as a student, or is it really? After so many visits, I think it is about time I get into it and write down a review. The atmosphere in this place is pretty good. Big screen TVs and a nice bar area. Go there and you will see a lot of University people because there is a 2 for one drink with University ID. Certain appetizers are half off after 9 pm and The spinach and artichoke dip is scrumptious! I also love the Rubin sandwich in this place. Having said all that, now it is time to dig a little deeper and talk about the servers and the service you get in here. Well, I can tell you for sure that I might have got a friendly server just once out of the several times I have been there. Most of them have just served me with attitude for which I find no legitimate reasons! One of the bartenders whose name I don’t remember is really nice though! We got there one night with just one credit card(discover) and ordered two drinks only to find out later they do not accept discover! Very embarrassing! However, since she kind of knows us(loyal customers I assume!!) she told us she would handle it and that we can pay another time! So all in all, a good casual hang out, but I am kind of disappointed because I always expect servers to measure up to my standards and they never do!

I am a huge fan of a lot of the food on the menu at the Distillery. Almost always sit at the bar(even if we are eating) because you can watch whatever games you want. While I don’t go here on a Friday or Saturday night, watching sports during the week here is a great idea, especially if you are hungry. The ticker that runs along the wall drives me a bit crazy because I definitely have attention issues and it distracts me no matter what is going on.

I used to love going when I was younger, but honestly, it’s not as good for wings as other places I’ve discovered lately. Their beer selection is OK, and their burger was fine, but nothing special. Three stars seems to be the perfect rating.

Pro: TVs everywhere — great place to watch all games! Everything else was just ok. We got the Guinness burger, which wasn’t too bad — I just wish they had asked how we would like to prepared, instead of bringing it out well done. As other Unilocalers have mentioned, it is loud inside, so if it’s a nice day outside, sit out on the patio!

Went here after a wake with some friends. Our cocktails were watered down, and my guest had her wine glass break in her hand. Suprised she didnt get cut! The service is slow, unpersonalized, not prompt and the waitresses seem hungover and unshowered. You can tell they hate thier jobs! The food is overpriced and really is nothing special. It costs 9.99 for an order of loaded fries. We are talking about 20 frenchfries with cheese and bacon, people. Very small portion and for 10 bucks? Oh hell no! The buffalo chicken wing dip is a absolute joke! Comes in a mini gravy boat and it luke warm with no flavor no spice. I asked for a bottle of franks red hot, waitress said they dont have bottles to bring to the table, however a side of it would be 75 cents! What? 75 cents for a side of franks red hot !!! You gotta be kidding ! And You get a «handful» of tortilla chips. 10 bucks. Overpriced, low quality food. Very unsettling! Heres the real kicker… Our waitress burped outloud in front of us and didn’t excuse herself. And my guest overheard her tell another waitress that she«missed her period». Are you kidding me? Very unacceptable! We were less than pleased. Service was bad, food was a joke, drinks even worse. We won’t be back anytime soon! Not pleased, infact, kinda pissed!
