I visit the Cape Coral Farmers Market every Saturday morning. I’m there a little early due to scheduling. Made a visit to the Happy Pickle. The vendor was not only loud & obnoxious, he would not sell me any pickles. All the other vendors were friendly & welcoming. I’ve been a customer for a long time. Not anymore. He was rude & un-accommodating. I’m sure my business won’t matter much to him but these things do eventually catch up to you. Karma comes back to bite. Nothing nice to say about The Happy(Unhappy) Pickle.

I love this family run business — The Happy Pickle. I make special trips to the Public Market on Tuesdays and Saturdays for their wonderful fresh crunchy pickles! Depending on the time of day they may also have olives, pickled peppers and relish. They make several different kinds of pickles — Dill, Spicy Dill, Garlic, Hot Garlic, Horseradish and multiple other varieties but those are my favorites. 32oz Container $ 5 and I believe in some cases they have discounts for buying multiple. Staff is always very friendly, helpful and always willing to answer questions and give samples. The pickles are always fresh and have the best crunch of any pickle out there. They may actually be one of my favorites foods — I could eat them daily. I hate when I run out and have to count down to public market time. I use the pickle brine to marinate my boneless chicken breast and its wonderful. The Brine also makes perfect dirty vodka martinis. They have a Facebook page to check out but don’t appear to update that often — so I am not sure what other events/places that they also sell at. Do not hesitate to check them out at the Rochester Public Market and take home some pickles — you will not be disappointed!
