Great specials! My boyfriend and I did our own little pub crawl one night and we stopped here. The bartenders were super nice. They accidentally charged my card with the wrote items and when i brought it to their attention they were so nice about it and immediately fixed the situation. it was pretty busy, they did not once seem annoyed by that. A lot of time bartenders are not as nice about situations like that! Def a good hang out spot!

I have been driving past this spot for quite some time noticing the smokers outside. We gave it a try on Sunday and although what we ordered was not cheap, they did have fantastic specials. What I loved about this stop was the fact that the bartender had his dog with him, I love doggies especially bar dogs. The bartender was super friendly and the crowd was mixed to say the least. Overall this is a good spot on Monroe Ave for a pit stop for a pre dinner cocktail.

The park bench is your typical bar offering the mainstream domestics, Bud, Coors, Yuengling, Labatts, Molson and Rochester’s own, Genesee beers. I’ve frequently here several times, and it’s never packed, even on weekends. So that’s definitely a plus, if you don’t want to wait 5+ minutes to get a drink. They have a pool table, and a couple dart boards, as well as the standard touch screen game on the bar. They have daily specials, highlighting the fore-mentioned domestics. I’ve frequently here on Tuesday nights, aka Taco nights, nothing says middle/high school memories like taco night at the Bench! They recently started carrying more micro-brews, I believe it was Ithaca, and I’ve seen Victory and Stella. So at least they are trying. But definitely not expensive night on the town here. I just can’t get past why the Park Bench is located on Monroe Ave?

Wow, stumbled across this little gem last night while walking home from a disappointing trip to a different bar in the area. It doesn’t look inviting from the outside due to the sorta hidden side-entrance, but once inside, I had nothing but praise for the place. $ 2.00 genny light/red/cream bottles all the time, $ 3.50 homemade bloody mary’s that are to DIEFOR. If you like bloody mary’s, the owner, Jim, knows a thing or two about making them. Cheap wings and drinks, good looking, friendly bartender, and extremely friendly owner. The atmosphere is really splendid with a big polished wood bar and huge bay window overlooking the interesting happenings at the 7 – 11 across the street. They’ve got pool and a good assortment of bar games if that sort of thing interests you… but I’ll be there for the drink prices and the atmosphere.
