I called TruGreen yesterday and asked them to provide me with a quote for their services. As with most companies in this marketplace, they don’t want to come out and see your lawn, but rather they just use satellite imagery to give you an estimate. I find this practice to be a little annoying, because I have some issues with my lawn that I think needs some special attention, so an onsite visit seems prudent. With that being said, I do understand the necessity to save money by not sending an employee out to give an estimate. Where I really have issues with this company is that once they verbally quoted me a price, I asked them to put that down in writing, and they said«no they don’t provide written estimates.» I really find it ludicrous when a company will not but an estimate in writing,

Lawn looks great! I have been a customer for over ten years. I think last year was your best year yet. Considering our lack of water and the need to cut way back on watering, the lawn looks the best it has ever! The six treatment plan, along with aeration and over seeding, keeps the lawn looking fantastic year round. Couldn’t be happier! Thanks TruGreen!

When trugreen applied pesticides to my neighbor’s lawn, I became violently ill because I was working outside and it was a breezy day. I called to complain and was told they could let me know before they made the next application to my neighbor’s lawn. Seemed reasonable. Since then, they have applied pesticides three times WITHNONOTIFICATIONTOME. I called them each time. They promised to get it right. Dan Prem gave me his word that he would take care of it. Monday, I was outside when they made the application. We closed all the windows and had to leave the area. Broken promises are disappointing.

Terrible company. I’d stay as far away as I could. Their ethics are dismal. They have been trying to charge me for a service they are performing on a home I haven’t lived in for over a year and will not stop calling and harassing me. I did not contract for such a service, and the folks I’ve communicated with are the rudest, most unethical people in the world. I asked to speak to a corporate executive and was told«our executives don’t talk to customers.» I guess a company whose leadership won’t communicate with those that make their livelihoods possible speaks for itself.
