I love Wegmans. Always good service and good grocery items. I miss it dearly when I’m not home. This location is always full of people but it’s still never a hassle to find what you need and check out.

I feel like if anyone gives Wegmans a low rating… have never lived somewhere without Wegmans. Case in point, the negative nelly who gave Wegmans a 2-​star, although entitled to their own opinion, can then go shop at Tops or Big M?
Now that we live in NC, we totally miss Wegmans. We have Food Lion, Harris Teeter and Lowe’s Foods… Not even on the same level as Wegmans.
I love (and miss) all the departments: produce, meat, BULK, beer, etc etc.
Prices actually seem reasonable compared to what I am used to.
We also were able to get a (famous) WEGMANS SUB. They are so good!!!

I only give them four star because their produce & a lot of other items are really over priced. Other than that, I love Wegmans, they have everything, Tennessee needs a Wegmans!

My favorite Wegmans in all of Rochester! I am here at least once a week if not more and have been coming here for over a decade. The layout of the store is great and there have been several renovations to places like their café area. Other than groceries (which are fairly priced and easy to find what you want), a meal in their café section is a MUST. I have been coming here for lunch almost every week and I never tire of it. There’s a large variety of food and on Sunday, they have fresh waffles available made by a little lady from Long Island. Easily the best I have ever had. This place is so good, it had become a necessary stop for any friends visiting from out of town. Thank you, Danny and the Wegman family for running a top-​notch store.

It’s a Wegmans… like I said… Wegmans. I have previously discussed my like of Wegmans and all of what they offer and the Chili branch is no exception to this. The same sections are ever-​present here which are not limited to the baked goods, sub and pizza shop, meats, produce, and flora. I admire how well this branch is kept up, not a stain to be found… impressive no?
The employees are very resourceful, much more than I thought possible. They have a «Helping-​Hands» section of a job where they help eldery or people in need, carry their bags for them… that may seem generic but it works pretty well. My only complaint is the lines as some of them move slow but nearby ones speed on by… but I don’t know if the employees are to blame for this so i don’t let it bother me.
As Wegmans goes, this is a fine branch to do some grocery shopping for the week or… for as long as you like.

Review of Wegmans, one of its many locations. This one happens to be in Chili (for you out of towners, people here for some strange reason pronounce the town of Chili as «chai-​lye» rather than «chilly») and it is nearly the same as most other Wegmans around town. It’s not just a grocery store, it’s a super market. A mega market. You can basically do close to 75% of your shopping here if you wanted to. If you have explored the reviews of other Wegmans, it’s essentially the same.
Fresh produce section, café section with coffee and stuff, bakery, meat market, sub shop, pizza, cold cuts, seafood, organic stuff, cheese, olive bar, canned/​boxed stuff, dairy, cups, glasses, kitchenware, bathroom stuff, makeup, florist… I suppose I’ll stop here because it would take probably a few more minutes to list enough stuff to cover what you can find here. Of course, I will make a special note that the craft beer selection is good for a regular supermarket.
Wegmans is always clean and employees are helpful. Lines move in a fairly quick fashion (usually… there are times when the cashiers look like they’re in a different world) and there is a lot of selection. It’s also open 24 hours. A HUGE plus for me. We don’t realize how lucky we are to be spoiled by this. I lived in FL for a while and there is hardly anything open past 10pm near where I lived. I would get home from school and not be able to go to the grocery store. So yeah. I like Wegmans.

You people. You Rochester people that have the gall to complain about Wegmans. You don’t know how good you have it.
Hey lady, those honey crisp apples (with which we will make the best applesauce you’ve ever had), that’s expensive to you? I want to smuggle these, AND the cherry tomatoes on the plane home with me. Even with the price of my ticket, I think I’m coming out ahead.*
You there, the crotchety gentleman by the meat counter. You call this crowded? PLEASE. There wasn’t even a one-​minute wait to check out at prime time on a Saturday.
Not to mention, Saturday is FREE SAMPLE day. That means as you navigate the enormously wide aisles full of gloriously cheap produce, there will be so many little bites offered that you’ll skip lunch.
And they have Salaminis. That’s mini salamis, you ingrates. What more could you ask for?

its wegmans how can you go wrong. it is the grocery store to go to if they don’t have it you don’t need it or they can special order it for you. great selections in all departments. the employees are friendly and helpful. prices are a bit high on some things but hey you cant have it all right.

I loooooooooooooove Wegmans. Having visited grocery stores in other cities NONE compare to Wegmans. Wegamans has an inviting environment and EXCELLENT service. Those who have not experienced grocery shopping at Wegmans do not know what they are missing. I loooooooooooooooooooove Wegmans

I’m rating specifically Wegman’s Subs.
I have not tried ALL the places that serve subs in the Chili Ave area but so far Wegman’s is my favorite. A little over $ 8 feeds two people on a large cold cut sub. They put plenty of meat, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes on the sandwich. Personally I think they could cut the onions a little thicker. The bread has a nice flavor as well.

Wegmans is like a cult. If you did not grow up in Upstate NY you’ll find this out when you move here. I’m still disturbed by it.
They sell too much Wegman’s brand crap and discontinue brands I like. I’m not sure what makes people love this place so much. It’s clean, super-​clean, love that aspect, but otherwise it’s a freaking grocery store. People act like it’s Adventureland and get all excited about the place. Don’t ever say anything negative about it or you will be looked at like you’re insane. Just grin and say it’s awesome even if you don’t really believe it.
Their pre-​made dinners/​food are GARBAGE. It’ the most bland food you could ever buy in your life. Literally nothing has flavor. I don’t know how they manage to make everything without flavor.
Their pizza is actually decent because it’s thinner crust. You’ll have to throw some garlic and red pepper flakes on for taste, but for Rochester it’s actually a very good option for pizza.
Wegmans…ugh.

Wegmans is always clean (a must in a grocery store if you ask me), the staff is always friendly and they have a HUGE assortment of hard-​to-​find items. They have an ever growing assortment of organic and natural food items.
Their coffee shop and ready made food areas are also great! You can get restaurant quality meals at fast food prices and speed.

WEGMANS IS INCREDIBLE
They have an outstanding selection of products, from your soaps and toiletries to great food. Their fresh meats, deli, and cheese selections are fantastic. The store is always well organized and the staff is completely unmatched. They are always happy to help and are extremely knowledgeable. The store is kept clean. The prices are very reasonable.
Wegman’s is consistently rated as one of the best, typically the very best, grocery store in the country, and it absolutely deserves it. They have the selection of big market stores like Giant Eagle, but have quality that matches or surpasses any specialty store or butcher’s shop.
This Wegman’s is not as absurdly nice as the one in Pittsford, but it’s also not nearly as busy as that one either.
Oh, and I can’t forget that their subs are soooooooooo good. The rest of their ready-​to-​eat is good, but their subs are some of the best I’ve ever had.
