My baby’s only option for pain relief this week was euthanasia. She’d already spent some inpatient time with her regular vet and she really didn’t care for going in to that office. Since this was inherently going to be a stressful situation for me(what an understatement!), I didn’t want her to be stressed or afraid too. The regular vet(Dr Melissa Privette of Palmetto Pet Hospital, already reviewed) was entirely sympathetic and recommended Dr Nan. Dr Nan is wonderful. She’s caring and compassionate and her come-to-you practice allows her to spend quality time with both you and your pet. She truly cares for both of you! She educated me in advance about the process and what to expect. And she delivered on every commitment, there were no surprises. Dr Nan serves about a 40 mile radius of Charlotte so chances are, she’ll come to you. She charges $ 38-$ 42 for the visit. Drugs or other supplies needed are extra, just as you’d find in a regular vet office. She treats dogs, cats and horses and can do pretty much anything except surgery at your home. If your baby hates going to the vet’s office, give Dr Nan a try. I would not wish a euthanasia situation on any pet parent. But if you are left with no other humane options, make your last choice Dr Nan.
