Went with a large group. Service started ok. Then took one hour to get food. By the time we got our food half was cold. We were not given silverware. When we asked the hostess for help she was not nice or helpful. Finally asked for a manager. He gave us a discount for our wait and service. Won’t go back.

The atmosphere and service have always been great but the taste of the pizza is inconsistent. I always order the same thing out of habit and each time it has tasted different. I have not noticed this at the North Myrtle Beach location, only in Rock Hill. Overall, I enjoy going and will continue to go, I just don’t have high expectations for the menu.

I had the buffalo chicken pizza and it was 5 stars! … really 6 stars… so good! Served piping hot… crust was perfect… just right amount of housemade bleu cheese dressing on top. Really — it was awesome. I’m a pizza addict… eat it at least once or twice a week from many places and this was the best pizza I’ve had in some time. Been to MM in many cities and tried most of the pizzas but had never had this one and it is my new favorite! Wife had a chicken and cheese hoagie and a half chef salad. Her hoagie was only 3 stars… grilled veggies were basically raw(and when that is the case with green bell peppers, it leaves a bitter taste). Amount of mayo was not proportionate… way too much. Her salad was also 3 stars… exorbitant amount of raw onion on it. Overall for both of us, it was 4 stars. Service was 4 as well. Try the buffalo chicken pizza though… dang it was good.

Love this place from the flashy décor… to the amazing service(thanks Woody!)…selection, and delish food! I had the hummus appetizer and create-your-own salad with tempeh mixed with spinach, romaine, apple, pineapple, dried cherries, portobellos, and sundried tomatoes! It was so nice to have so many vegan options. Perfect dining experience. Thank you!

There is one of these where I live and was surprised to see one here in Rock Hill. The pizzas here are phenomenal. The House Special 10″ pizza is one of the best II have ever eaten. The selection of fine brews is out of this world. I tried the«Purple Haze» which has a blue berryish taste to it and I also tried a Chocolate Peanut Butter type of ale that was a little thick but tasty all the same. The service was up to par and the atmosphere was alive and kicking. Will be visiting again should I get to come back to Rock Hill.

I have never had food that was anything less than delicious at MM. The only reason I give 4 is because the service leaves something to be desired. I know that the pizza is cooked longer than at the typical pizza joint, and I am perfectly okay with that. However, I spent a long time with an empty drink. Otherwise, I recommend the cosmic karma, and the pretzels. And the calzones. As a vegetarian I appreciate the amount of vegetarian food here as well. They even have dessert, but I am always too full to eat it, so I can’t provide any guidance there.

I normally like to try local fare when I’m travelling, but we just needed a quick lunch on a road trip, and Mellow Mushroom fit the bill. Every Mellow Mushroom is a little different, the lunch menu is reasonably priced, and the service is quick. This location is near a movie theatre so it would be great for a date night, and the décor is a little industrial– not something I’ve seen at any other Mellow Mushroom I’ve visited. For lunch, I had a lil Greek salad and a slice of pizza with sundried tomatoes. Our salads came out first, and quickly, then our slices. The slices at lunch are thinner than the traditional whole pizza slices and I liked that. Our service was good, prompt, and we were back on the road in an hour. I’ve only been here one time, but it’s a great stop for lunch when on I-77. It was very convenient to the interstate.

Happy to see unbleached flour crust, vegan cheese options, hummus, and a new veggie burger. Tuesday is the perfect day to give it a try for half priced apps and craft beer specials. That being said, other days it is kinda pricey for the area. But I still highly recommend!!!

Our first trip to the Mellow Mushroom was wonderful! They have an extensive craft beer list, many on tap. All were available for sample and we tested several before we made a(great) choice! Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the food and drink selections and made excellent recommendations. We loved the fact that you could order pizzas made half/half! We ordered 210″ and were able to try four different items! Our Waitress was very engaging and couldn’t wait to find out which was our favorite. Will definitely stop here again on our next trip to Hilton Head.

Tues is my favorite day to go to Mellow Mushroom because all pints(except high gravity) are $ 2.50 and half off appetizers from 4 – 7. The food is really good

I went here with some friends tonight and while the bartender was nice enough, the back of house was a disaster. We waited well over 20 minutes for our food, then only 2⁄3 of the food came out. My friends girlfriend’s food came out as we were finishing ours and getting our boxes for leftovers. With Fuel Pizza right next door, I know where my business will be going from here on out. It’s a shame too because I like Mellow Mushroom, but I won’t be going to the one that’s walking distance from my house anymore.

It was as any Mellow Mushroom should be! I went there with my sisters after Zumba training and we were starving and reading to refill our body with carbs. We ordered the meatballs and the stuffed portobello mushrooms for appz. They didn’t last long. We were ravenous. The staff could tell. Our appz came out super fast. My two sisters are gluten free(poor souls) and split the gluten free house pizza. I love that Mellow has a gluten free option for them. I remember back in the day when finding gluten free stuff(that wasn’t a dinky salad) was near impossible. I love that it’s getting more and more popular! I ordered the house calzone, also delish! My only complain was that most of the filling had leaked out of it. The staff was excellent. Fast moving, funny, way more hip than me. Like I said, this place was as any Mellow should be!

The food here basically tastes the same as every other Mellow Mushroom but my pizza was slightly overcooked(dark brown/almost black on the bottom). All of the plates they brought to us had food particles stuck on them which was quite disgusting. The service was friendly and the only issue we had was that the waiter forgot to put in our beer cheese sauce for our pretzels so he did not charge us for it. The atmosphere is unique for a MM. It looks unlike a lot of the other ones and the outside design and interior décor would fit better with their Ballantyne location. The prices are high as usual but a Groupon knocked a little bit off. I’d go back here if I was in the area, but if you’ve had MM, you know what to expect.

I wish I could give less than 1 Star. We had a reservation but still given a 20min wait. Then they proceeded to seat us and act like we didn’t exist for another 20min. We got up, left, and NOONESAID A THING. They just said goodbye like we had even eaten a thing. I will NEVER eat here again and I will be watching the news waiting for this«restaurant» to close. The management not only needs to be changed but everything about this place.

This place doesn’t have that new car smell but it’s new & clean. The waitstaff seems to have been freshly hired straight from the nearest college dorm or Phish show: the male waitstaff are mostly adorned with the requisite beanie hat & baggy shorts… righteous dudes no doubt. In the ladies seem to be able to wear whatever the heck they want to — well I guess you should be comfortable at work! :) Should mention that I think Jonah Hill(circa 2012) just took my order? But you know, it’s cool. It’s not about how people look… but it is kind of entertaining. Other than the entertainment factor, I just mention all of this because I don’t want you to be confused… if you think your server is someone that just got up from their table and is trying to take your order, they probably are your server! So the most important thing, the food: The crust has got a nice chew to it — it’s not that freaky cracker crust of Millstone’s that turns to shoe leather 10 minutes after you order it. We have not tried any of the red sauced pies yet, but only the garlic olive oil sauce pies. We’ve had the Philosophers, which my wife thought the steak was a bit too chewy and the holy shiitake, which had an amazing taste but was a little skimpy on the shrooms. And for $ 13 for a small pie, not righteous dude. Last night we had to Maui Wowie — it was quite delicious and the pesto not too strong of a flavor. We hope to try some more of their pies… and also hope they start putting a few more toppings on them for the price. Peace!

I’m a fan of the Mellow Mushroom. It takes a place a while to get into the groove of things and I think our patience will be rewarded with an establishment similar to their other locations. I love that there is an ample supply of tasty beers to sample. I make a point of sticking with what I know in the food department when a new location of a restaurant opens. So… I go with the Maui Wowie(pesto, pineapple, ham, jerk chicken, bacon, and banana peppers) pizza. The pizza tasted just like the other locations I’ve frequented… excellent! Our service was also quite good for being such a new location. Our server came back at appropriate times and stayed on top of refills and checking on our kids. Great job! What I didn’t like is that when my daughter used the restroom, she scalded her hands while washing them. I’m not exaggerating when I say«scalded.» There were tears for quite a while and her hands were bright pink. I of course, went and checked the men’s room to see if it could really be that bad. It was worse than«that bad.» I was prepared for hot… but was not expecting anything«that» hot. The hostess however, was very helpful as she went and filled a rubber glove with ice for my daughter. The manager«Tony» was also quite nice and apologetic. Thanks for that! But…our server told us she had run into the same thing. So c’mon Mellow Mushroom… if you know there’s a problem… then you need to get on top of fixing it ASAP… especially one that could cause a lawsuit. Not everyone is as understanding and forgiving as my family is… you need to CYA gang! While some people have complaints about the food or the service not measuring up to other locations, I say, let them settle in and give them a try. The kinks will work their way out… and I for one… am glad the Shroom is here! Try: The Maui Wowie Avoid: The weekend lunch crowd

I really like this place and have been to other locations in the past. The décor is pretty great and has been different in each one I’ve been into. The pizza here is pretty good, although pricy. I felt like the service was a bit slow and not very attentive for my liking. Although I will probably return next time I am in Rock Hill.

Okay, I’ll be honest. One of those stars was for the décor. An intriguing blend of mid-century modern and Industrial, everything in here is streamlined yet eye catching. The service was fine, even though the printer at the bar jammed, I wasn’t too miffed about getting my drink after I was done with my food. It gave me more time to look around. Talking wasn’t easy, however. The music was up fairly high and the chatter was loud. The food was good — the muffaletta was amazing, not to mention HUGE. It’s a little pricey, but a nice place overall, with very friendly staff. I’ll be back soon for sure, if only to support a varied food culture in Rock Hill.

We decided to try out Mellow Mushroom their first Saturday at 6:30 p.m. I braced myself for a long line(which they had), but the hostesses said it would only be 20 – 25 minutes. We were able to snag two seats at the bar, and they called our table when we were only halfway through our first beer. Speaking of beer, their beer list is just okay compared to some other MMs I’ve been to, but perhaps that’ll change in the future. There seemed to be a good amount of seating inside and outside, and our waitress, Hunter, was really great. Like Christy said, they had staff everywhere, and it seemed like they might’ve brought in MM staff from other locations… but it really worked well. Sometimes that can be overwhelming, but the senior staff seemed to take charge, and the new staff got the hang of things pretty quickly. The food was exactly what you’d expect from a Mellow Mushroom; the menu is the same as all the others. The location right across from the movie theater is a great spot, and there seemed to be plenty of parking. Great addition to Rock Hill!
