Just bought 4 new tires and an oil change. I was the first car checked in. The clerk was rude and clueless on how to check-​in a car. It took them just under 2 hours to complete the service. After check-​out I came back in due the check engine light still being on. The same clerk asked «What do you want now?» I explained what I was seeing. «Fine. Just pull it around».
I had to show the mechanic how to reset the light. His answer when I asked him about the tire pressure system was that I needed to go back to the dealership. They didn’t know how to work on that.
Going back to the dealership next time. At least they know what they are doing.

We are vacationing from Ohio and got our key locked in our overhead rack. Our sales associate, Tony, was eager to help us and when he couldn’t get the key out, he came up with an alternative solution! Our associate was helpful with finding and installing tie downs. Great service!

It’s been a while since I had been to a Pep Boys, mostly they’re just not convenient for my location. I saw they had a 30% off online purchases and I could still pick the parts up locally. Sounded great and worth the drive. Problem was the discount code kept just refreshing the page with no actual discount. I figured it was a glitch, so I printed off the shopping cart and took it in to the store figuring the manager would make it right. Nope. He just shrugged his shoulders and said he couldn’t help at all and barely looked up at me. A nearly $ 300 order and he could care less. Pep won’t see me again! I did give 2 stars because the clerks were helpful and even overly apologetic for the manager’s rudeness.

Today, Chuck decided to hang up on me 3 times while I was trying to get tire pricing for an upcoming appointment I made. 4^th time it happened, I called back immediately, and a woman said that Chuck has been with a customer. I explained to the woman what happened, and she laughed! I told her that it wasn’t funny and to cancel my appointment and she laughed again … Unbelievable? Where do you find your employees?

I want to recognize Mathew Richardson and his team for their excellent service. We had a tire going down, and they responded with professional courtesy and timely help. We’ve visited other auto service companies in Rock Hill and Fort Mill, and this is by far the BEST experience. Thanks Mathew and the Rock Hill Pep Boys!

Brandon is the best! He noticed my brake fluid was too low and filled it up and told me what was wrong with my vehicle. I took it for repair the next day and felt I paid a fair price for the work performed. His customer service skills are great… thanks Brandon.

Huge store where they had the hard-​to-​find battery filler. And I also bought windshield wipers in December, but I just could not figure out how to put them on the car. Neighbors also failed, so I took them back to exchange.
When I told the cashier my problem another worker came over and said he would try. OK.
So we went outside to the car and stood in the wind for about 30 minutes while he tried and tried and finally discovered which of the adapters worked, but then could not get the mate off of the new wiper to accept it.
He went inside twice to get help and finally figured it all out and we got them replaced. Was I happy.
The guy is Kalid, very nice, very professional and he did it all for nothing. I left very happy and you can bet that I will be back for other auto needs.

I chose Pep Boys for my new tires because they appeared to offer the best deal, and they were offering a free oil change with two tires. However, upon arriving there, they tried to tell me that a free oil change apparently costs extra. Go figure. Then, the service manager informed me that he couldn’t do the work without replacing two lugs and nuts. Add another $ 70 for that. (by the way, it would have been nice if he had just checked to make sure that he couldn’t simply screw new nuts on the existing lugs.) It looks like their policy is just to screw their customer out of as much money as possible. Well, there’s a free space in line now if you’re in the mood to get screwed over. I’ll just take my car to an honest business like Griffin Tire in Fort Mill or even Discount Tire on Dave Lyle Blvd.

These guys are awesome! My windows wouldn’t work and they got me squared away. I had a lengthy wait BUT the excellent customer service made up for it!
