Sonic will always have a special place in my heart. I love the all-American fare they offer as well as the drive-up, order, get your food and go concept. Usually I only order a Route 44 and a family size order of Tater Tots. Between 2PM and 4PM the Route 44 is half-off, so if you like limeade’s, like me, this is the time to go. My last few visits have always been both efficient and disappointing. The order taker and the car hops are friendly and efficient at this location. It’s the drinks and food that have disappointed. My last Route 44 had hardly any lime in it. Practically not worth the stop if they’re going to skimp on the real lime. That’s what makes the drink special. Also the tots on both of my last two trips have been mediocre cold. Almost like they tried to heat them up to quickly and failed. I just take them home and pop them in the toaster oven, but I shouldn’t have to do that. I love the food, but would recommend that the food preparers spend a little more time with the details. Service and prices, as always, are excpetional.

By far one of our favorite fast food joints. Coming from up North originally, we didn’t have the pleasure of partaking in this lovely establishment. Needless to say, it was one of the first things I tried since moving south. The selection is enormous, hot dogs are great and boneless wings are tasty but we come for the burgers, very good considering it’s fast food. They even have grilled cheese and a good breakfast. Another plus is they always get the order right for a change as opposed to the other fast food drive throughs. The only draw back is I have to drive 10 miles to get here, wish they would re-open the one right down the block. How could a place like this close anyway?

Having had Sonic milkshakes in Charleston, SC my husband and I were eager to enjoy some in Rock Hill. We were very disappointed in the difference. We each ordered a different flavor, one coconut cream pie and the other peanut butter fudge. They both tasted like a vanilla milkshake. One had a slight beige color to it but no taste of peanut butter or chocolate. There was no coconut in the cream pie shake. They had one little dab of whipped cream on top. The ones in Charleston were very flavorful and plenty of whipped cream on top. On a positive note, they were half price.

Just ordered 2 grilled chicken wraps. When they came out they were ice cold. Like straight from the fridge. How are they going to try to sell cold leftovers. Now they are trying to tell me it’s the lettuce that makes the wraps cold. I have eaten these wraps for years and never have they been cold. What a sorry excuse for a restaurant that claims to be hot and fresh. I have cooked in every type of restaurant possible for this area and I would never tell a customer a lame excuse. If the wrap is cold, the wrapper is cold, the meat is cold. Don’t tell me lettuce and tomatoes chilled it from the time it left the grill to my car.

Sonic’s a nice stop for a burger and fries… or a good ol’ chili dog. It’s typical of a «park and eat» style restaurant. The food is generally consistent and tastes pretty good. I have to admit… I’m not likely to frequent this location since it is tucked away and relatively inconvenient. Sonic does however, top many of the grab and go fast food joints around… except…this isn’t «fast» food. What does keep me coming to Sonic on occasion… is their cherry limeade. If you’ve never had limeade before… you’re missing out.

If you like to ask for light ice and still get a full cup of ice, this Sonic is for you! Perfect for ice lovers, since 42 ounces of my 44 ounce drink just happened to be ice…
