Jake O’s Grille

Not my favorite, probably won’t go back. If they are trying to break away from o’melias they need to do a remodel, the carpet is so gross in here. I remember going to o’melias when I was young with my parents and the food was always excellent. It was just ok at Jake O’s. My husband had the fried tenderloin, it was a nice cut but could have been fried a little longer. I had chicken fettuccine Alfredo, noodles are homemade and nice, chicken was good, but I found the sauce watery. The salad bar was ok, but it was difficult to reach the items in the back for most everyone I saw go through it. Garlic dressing was very good, but wondering why it’s green? Atmosphere not the greatest. Very loud. Gross carpet. Booths very diner like. Waiter didn’t seem to know what the specials were and had he known I might have ordered one of them but he didn’t seem to know what came with the steak kabob, when I asked, he said it’s a steak kabob on a metal skewer. On the way out I saw the tiny specials board and read the specials in more detail, we might have missed out but then again maybe not as everything was just «ok». The stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer were very good, although the waiter forgot about them so we got them with our meal.

Lunch Tues thru Sunday… They offer smoked brisket done on site! You can smell it when you pull up… I spent 30 years in Texas… Trust me… They can deliver!
The evening meal… Catfish filet… Yummy… Done well! My fiancé had the prime rib… Delicious…
Loaded baked potato… ! The wine selection is great and they pour a very generous cocktail.: friendly staff!

This place is delicious! We went for lunch and couldn’t believe how good the food was. More people need to discover this place. They have standard American fare with their own twist. I had a burger that was on a grilled cheese sandwich and topped with bacon mac and cheese. Seriously? Awesome! They also had great service and a nice outdoor area. I will definitely be heading back to this place soon.

Great food! Great owner/​chef who has completely revamped the menu and updated the entire building making it a nicer place to eat with a better environment and better food. Nowhere like it around here at all. Worth every penny and definitely great for dates or family dinners or any occasion.
