The pesto supreme pizza or calzone is the best dish here. A delicious combination of ingredients! Friendly and helpful employees. One of the top pizza locations in the QC area.

I’ve been going here for years. My go-to meal is the mac and cheese calzone. It’s so good! Try it out, you won’t be disappointed!

Still my favorite QC pizza place! Great food, cold beer, and good service. Lately I’ve been ordering calzones and the original is my favorite, but taco pizza is also very good. I always try to pick up some half baked calzones on my way back to Chicago!

Giving it 3 stars only because of the service. Food is excellent and the BLT calzone is among my personal addictions.

It was edible but not like Chicago style pizza. Crumbled sausage was not my thing. I need to learn that outside of Chicago and ‘burbs that pizza is not the same. Crust was good, but otherwise bland. Reminds me of Pizza Hut or Dominoes.

We have only had the pizza here, both dine in and carry out. The only pizza we have ever tried is the taco and the macaroni and cheese pizza. Both are great. The crust is sweet and chewy. I would have never thought to order macaroni and cheese pizza but now I am addicted and have to have it every time. Dining in is best so the pizza is hot and fresh, at its best.

Of all the QC pizza places, this is probably my favorite. Their pizza is good and cut in triangles instead of strips. More importantly, their calzones are the best in the QC! Yes, better than stashu’s and better than st. guiseppes. Stashu’s and guiseppes are both VERY dry calzones that you have to choke down. Not at Pizza & Subs. Easily have had over 20 calzones from here and they’re always great. Great customer service too!

I love going to Pizza & Subs when I come back to visit my family in the QC. The taco pizza is by far the best. My niece and nephew from Denver love the taco pizza and macaroni pizza, they always ask to come here multiple times when they come to visit. It’s a mom and pop shop full of family atmosphere!

Great pizza and calzones, our local pizza joint! The wait can be a bit long on the weekends but if you call ahead it’s no big deal!

Ordered spaghetti to go & it tasted extremely bland. They put too much olive oil in it & it tasted greasy. No cheese on top either. If you wanted meat with the sauce, you had to pay extra. Usually meat is in spaghetti sauce, at least I thought anyway. Garlic bread & brownie was good, but that was about it. Not sure if I’ll be back there again after one reviewer stated there were cockroaches in the bath room. Ewww.

Calzones and sausage sub are great. They get their sausage from Stashu’s which I love. I’ve eaten here with a large group, my family and my kids and had a good meal every time.

2.5 stars. Having eaten here from the time this place opened I have a particular long history with this place. Video games played. Pop slurped. The smell of pizzas and calzones cooking. Watching for the devastating smile a girl behind the counter used to give me long ago when I came in. Having to call a tow truck when my car’s alternator died on a cold winter’s night. As far as the food goes this place used to make great pizza and subs. The pizza was more East Coast style, which of course I didn’t know until I moved out there, with big slices that you could fold over and eat if you wanted to. The calzones were new to the Quad Cities. No one else had them that I knew/know of around here. The standard calzone with sausage and ham was delicious, a giant Hot Pocket but a million times more delectable. And their subs, man those were so good. I used to drool in anticipation on Friday, waiting for the night time when we used to order food. Quality meats, cheeses and bread. Fast forward to the present. The pizza just doesn’t’ taste like I remember it. The crust isn’t as good. The toppings are decent but nothing special. And the sauce isn’t as good as I remember. The subs are decent, but the meats aren’t the same quality that they once were or close to what I get out East now. The roll/bun is a softer variety that doesn’t add much to the sandwich Perhaps Tom Wolfe was right.

This is how calzones should be! The cheese, Ooh the cheese. Haven’t been here in a while, but the building could use a little update, but I like those kind of places that are solely known for their food.

I have been sick since eating here this afternoon. Rude staff, rotten cheese on the pizza and roaches in the bathroom where I got sick from the food. Manager told me «well you shouldn’t have eaten it then.» Needless to say the Health Department has been notified.

I dream about the all cheese calzone. Really big basement perfect for parties. Have pizza, sandwiches, or a calzone with a beer.

A family owned business that makes the best calzones. The original calzone is excellent but if you prefer, you can order a good vegetarian calzone with spinach and soy based meat alternative — made by Stashu’s I believe.

They freshly make every calzone in the store. The wait could be a little long but it is worth it. A must try in Rock Island.
