It’s food. Let’s face it generally Sushi isn’t hard to cook… lol…it’s in a mall in a kiosk it’s a better meal Than the other high priced unhealthy shite around it but you’re not going to go out of your way to just come here…

Snow White roll was great! I ordered spicy tuna with it, however the snow white set the bar too high! Staff could be friendlier. I would have used 3 stars because of that, but the roll was just too good.

Good quality and always fresh. A small spot at Rockaway Mall food court. Good choice of Shushi at reasonable price

I was skeptical about this place in the first place. Enjoyed it a few times and now this time I got sushi that tasted so bad and so mushy I had to spit it out of my mouth. I’ve never been so grossed or skeeved out about sushi since I started eating it. I literally threw out everything my money and all, went to Wendys got a burger and I understand it’s going to be greasy but it’s even more so really greasy. My appetite is gone and I am NOT pleased one bit.

Here’s the deal… I’ve walked by this place dozens of times while visiting the mall. I’ve even read previous reviews and still wasn’t convinced«mall sushi» could be good… BOYWAS I WRONG! This place was great! Roles were fresh. Not too much rice(hate when they do that). They offer great sushi /sashimi lunch combos! Definitely worth a visit

Sushi from a mall? Are you kidding? That’s what I thought, but this place served up sushi that could be presented at any of the best restaurants. I have tried about half the menu, try the Snow White or the Spicy Dragon with a side of crab salad. If you love sushi, you will be delightfully surprised!

Like everyone else, I was skeptical about ordering sushi from the mall food court but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the volcano roll and it was delicious… very fresh and well priced.

As most users have already said about this place, I was truly skeptical at first. But I was craving some sushi while walking through the mall and decided to give the«mall sushi» a try. I sh*t you not, none of these people are kidding, it’s really really good sushi. They have a pretty wide variety, and I’d say they are moderately priced. They even have lunch specials which were very reasonably priced. The sushi is fresh and prepared to order, and done so quite quickly. The only thing that could possibly make this place any better is a better atmosphere(but try doing that in a mall foodcourt! hahaha) Definitely give it a whirl. You won’t be disappointed.

Decided to give Nori Sushi a try… and Steve S.- have to say, I concur. This is an absolute standout among Rockaway Mall eating choices. Well priced, fresh food combined with friendly service? It’s a home run– I’ll be back and certainly recommend you try it yourself. You won’t get a better meal at this mall!

Awesome sushi for their prices I would never expect their sushi to be that good considering it’s a mall kiosk but Nori Sushi blew my expectations away, my friend reccomended me a snow white roll and it was amazing. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars because it’s so dam loud in the mall

At first you don’t succeed, try again and then decide. That’s what I would say about this place. I’ve been here about 4 times already. The first two times, I tried the rolls and they were pretty good and the prices are reasonable and help when you are on a budget; especially during lunch time with their specials. One of my favorite dishes is Unagi Don which is a bed of Eel over rice. Most places charge anywhere from $ 14 – 17(including NYC). Nori offers this dish up for $ 10.99; which is very reasonable. My first try wasn’t great. Over the weekend, I tried it again and it was much more pleasant and tasty. The key point is to eat it right away. Eel is not good when it’s cold. Quick Tip: If you have Unilocal on your phone, check-in to receive 10% off. We all love saving money and it’s good for business.

The same quality sushi you get from a supermarket. Everything tastes pre frozen and bland. Basically what you’d expect from a sushi stand in a mall. Not worth a trip just to eat there but if you’re ever shopping and have the sudden urge to abuse your bowels at a premium price then this is the place for you.

When this place opened I was pretty hesitant to give it a go. I mean mall sushi?!? Seriously? I was skeptical from previous bad mall sushi in the past. I gave the free sample a try(I think it was their Snow White roll) and I was hooked(get it, hooked? I crack myself up) Now, it’s only one of a few places I’ll eat in the Rockaway Mall food court. The chefs make delicious special rolls that are much more affordable than in most of the places in Morris County– and they don’t skimp on the fish or fill you up with extra rice-very good portions. The sushi tastes fresh and the service is great-never an attitude or a grumpy chef or server! Is this the best sushi I’ve ever had? No, but is is still very good-good enough for me to be a regular. The place can get slow at lunchtime, and it gets noisy, but it’s in a mall for crying out loud-what would you expect? It IS however, worth the wait. Give Nori Sushi a try-it will change your mind about mall sushi forever!

Come now people, let’s not exaggerate, this is simply mall sushi. With that said, the rolls are decent enough and they won’t make you sick, which is really all you can ask for Japanese food purchased from a food court.

Nori is a pleasant surprise! I didn’t expect to get the selection of sushi, sashimi, and rolls with the quality and value they offer — in a mall too!

Ever feel like the need to sushi when you are walking around the mall? if yes, then you should def try this place out! if no, you should still drive to this mall and get your sushi fit on. This is a tiny stand in Rockaway Mall’s food court. Although tiny, the place makes really delicious sushi. I got the number 4 combo, which is the salmon lover.($ 8.49 I believe.) Before ordering, I asked the guy in the stand whether or not my order will look exactly like the one depicted on its menu.(The picture contains a salmon nigiri that has a HUGE piece of fresh salmon slap on top of the rice.) He said yes, which convinced me to order it. Sure enough, when I got my order, it looked just exactly like it. 8 pieces of salmon rolls and 4 pieces of salmon nigiri. The salmon is extremely FRESH and delicious. After chowing down, I told the chef that this was one of the best sushi I had in the past few weeks.(I eat a lot of sushi from a lot of different places) BTW, to save some money, if you have the Unilocal app on your phone, theres a 10% off coupon for this. The people who worked there are extremely cool and friendly.

This place is no joke! For a mall shop, it tasted better than some sushi standalone restaurants. I had a snow white roll that consisted of fried shrimp & spicy crab on top. Also, had the california roll. The rolls were filling and large and these guys don’t skimp you on the ingredients! The california was stuffed with lots of cucumber shreds. But definitely, I preferred the snow white roll. I added an extra star cuz they have those real japanese soda drinks with the balls that you pop and it rolls inside the bottle! Fun & Refreshing!!! My favorite place for sushi in north Jersey.

I’m so glad this place moved into the vacant spot at the entrance to the food court! I’m hesitant to order sushi in a mall, but these guys just blew away all my expectations. This is my new go-to for sushi if I don’t feel like driving all the way to Minado on route 10… Which I pretty much never do, since I work in Rockaway. The rolls all seem to be pretty great, but I’m a Chirashi guy myself. Good thing the Chirashi platter is as affordable as the rest of the menu!

Nori Sushi employees are rude and arrogant towards their customers. In a customer based business, this mindset that Nori Sushi embodies will certainly yield unhappy customers, which will stifle business growth. Moreover, I’ve seen employees of Nori Sushi not wear gloves while preparing their dishes on more than one occasion. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Customer service has improved.
