Yum! Amazing tacos, nachos, and drinks were on point too. The décor is cool, good for a casual night out with friends or a date. Definitely would come back here.

I don’t drink beer but my husband does and according to him this restaurant has a great selection. Their margarita happy hour is really good !!!

I really enjoy going here with my friends, the atmosphere is really laid back and friendly. Even when their packed the service in this cozy restaurant is really fast and good. The food is outstanding and so are the drinks. Everything is affordable and it’s an awesome date spot or place for dinner with friends.

This place is one of a kind in Rockaway. Its a really small restaurant and is always packed but I’ve never had to wait long for a seat or service. The drinks and bar atmosphere are really good but the food is even better. The prices are reasonable and the servings and drinks are big. The staff are pretty impersonal and are super busy but the service is still speedy and good. Its a cool place to go that feels a little more adult themed and is better than the typical bars and eateries that are local. Its a cool date spot too.

Was there last Sunday evening. Had the Rib Eye Burrito. It was a special. Was the best tasting burrito I ever had! The steak was so tender and seasoned so well. It also had guacamole and chipotle mayo in it. They should have this on the menu everyday.

Amazing food!!! Jesus I can’t stress enough how delicious the food is here. Ive munched on there delicious guac and chips several times but as for entrees, I’ve only had the LA Burrito w Brisket but when I tell you it’s the best I’ve ever had then there’s nothing more to say. It’s so delicious I’m afraid to order anything else because I know this is gonna be amazing 110% of the time. It’s that good. I’ve been going there for about 6 months now and will continue to do so for life! Lol

I came here with a friend, and we felt the need to try a lot off the menu as per usual. The street corn was amazing, we asked our waitress to cut it in half so we can share one order. The guacamole was nothing special, but I did enjoy the chips. The shrimp taco was absolutely delicious, the shrimp was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fish taco taco was not my favorite. We also split the LA burrito with chicken which was by far my favorite dish. For dessert, we tried the dulce the leche cake. It’s basically a cold pound cake that is drizzled in caramel that tastes exactly like werther’s original candy. Definitely will be back again!

Mexican is not my favorite cuisine but this place makes me wanting more. The corn here is yummy 5⁄5. The guacamole was actually just avocado so it’s nothing special and fairly expensive 3⁄5. I tried the shrimp and brisket tacos, they were good 4⁄5. My friend and I shared the LA burrito and the chicken was really soft and yummy but the mashed beans inside were too much 4⁄5. I had a frozen margarita with a splash of sangria, it was good but very sweet 4⁄5. For dessert we had the dulce de leche cake, I didn’t like that it was cold and it was extremely sweet we couldn’t take more than a couple bites each 3⁄5. The service was really good and the waitress was very friendly. I also really like the vibe of the place itself. I’d probably be back to try some other things.

Incredible place. The tone from the moment I walked in was terrific. Service at the bar from Tim was unmatched. He was attentive, friendly, and guided me through the menu joyfully. I had the chorizo and pastrami tacos. Both incredible. The vibe in the place was great from start to finish. I’ll be be back. Thanks, Tim!

Nice little Mexican joint on 129th at RB. Honestly, I want to give this place a 4 but it just seems like something is missing. The restaurant is cute, lots of seating, friendly service, the menu is clear and well written and they serve a good portion of food. But the menu just seems limited to me and I feel like a lot of the items were repeat. While portions are a good size, its a little pricey for Mexican food, it seems kinda fusion-y which is fine but not all that flavorful. I tried the shrimp emapanadas, and they were alright. I was not a fan od the mango cooli and the shrimp bits were kinda small, the flaky pastry didn’t do it for me but it was edible. I’ve also had a margarita, which was generous in it’s portions. Recently, I went and had a LA veggie burrito. The burrito itself was good on the inside, they were a bit skimpy with the filling, and the tortilla was abdudant. The black beans and rice was yummy, no complaints there. I was not a fan of the guacamole whatsoever, seemed bland. Overall, I would probably go back again just because I would like to try other items. The menu is very limited for non-meat eaters. Also, there is additional parking for Pico’s a couple stores down.

OMG… this is great Mexican cuisine. Who would think of pastrami on a taco would taste so damn good!!! I also had their special seared tuna on a corn taco. Absolutely so fresh. And their corn with the chipotle aioli sauce… DELICIOUS For dessert I had their bread pudding… it’s not stale bread… its croissant… flaky buttery deliciousness with vanilla ice cream.(Check in on Unilocal and you get 50% off a dessert so this a must to get) I like Pico because they put a twist on their food. When you eat here it’s not all about cheese and fried dishes… you leave feeling light and not like you are going to fall over. Well at least I did… lol The staff and bartenders are all so kind and friendly. They all make you feel so welcome and that’s greatly appreciated. I will be back for sure to try everything else on the menu

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t utterly obsessed with this place. Mexican is my favorite cuisine of all, and Pico serves it, top notch. Their guacamole has just the right amount of lime and spice, their tortillas are fresh and their seasonal vegetarian burritos are lovely. Their piece de resistance is their mexican croissant bread pudding. My golly, is that thing good. The only thing I ever regret when leaving Pico’s is not being able to order more. Their staff is very friendly, and the place is colorful, cozy, and a bit romantic all in one.

Food was delicious. Space is lovely. The wait staff was low-key cool. Too busy to give us excellent attention but not rushed or flummoxed. Our food was delivered by a 2nd waiter and then we were checked on and cashed out with the 2nd waiter to maybe there was a change in staff while we were there. We had the lunch special 2 tacos + rice + bean + slaw for $ 10. The filling in those two tacos would easily have filled 4 tacos at many restaurants. The sides were terrific and we were a bit bummed to be too full to finish. I highly recommend and would go back though I don’t generally find myself in that area.

Was just here last sunday for some football. Let me say this place has made a complete turn around. Had some honey-chipotle wings and steak tacos. The wings were out of this world. There was actually real honey on the wings that left your fingers sticky. The tacos were pretty damn good as well. Nice specials for happy hour and football. I will be back ! P.S Kid Cudi is a good artist but throw on some Mexican/Classic/Alternative music from time to time. It is a Mexican themed spot.

So my bff took me to this place for dinner because we loveeeeee Mexican food. The ambiance reminded me of a tavern, very homey and comfy with lots of Mexican accents. Our waitress Kaitlin(sorry, hope I spelt that right) was very friendly and attentive. She gave us very great suggestions and provided excellent service. Now the fun stuff… my food. I had the Jumbo Lump Crab Enchiladas! Omgeee delish… best I’ve ever had. Perfectly seasoned and stuffed with just the right amount of crab meat. It was served with rice and beans, guacamole & salsa. #Yummers. I also had the corn on a cob(Elote) as an appetizer, no words it was that good. I also had the shrimp empanadas, they were ok. needed a bit more shrimp in them. Overall I really liked the vibe at Pico & definitely recommend this place. I’ll be back for sure.

So for the past two weeks for some reason I haven’t been enjoying anything I’ve eaten to the point of satisfaction that I’ve wanted. Pico knocked it out of the park. From their brunch menu I had their burger and it was the best burger I’ve had. It had smoked bacon which is out of this world the best bacon, nice and thick. I don’t ever want to see regular bacon in my life again lol. It had cheddar cheese and an egg on it. It was my first time having an egg on a burger. The combination was terrific! Guacamole and salsa were on the side. I put it on my burger also. The burger came with home fries which I didn’t need because the burger was perfect alone. We ordered the nacho chips with guac. The chips have a great seasoning on them. The kids tore them up eating two orders. The place is so pretty, I fell in love. Looking at the other reviews I definitely want to try everything on the menu lol. I will be back!

I’m shocked I haven’t written a review of this place so far, because it’s one of my top three favorite restaurants in New York City. That’s right, of all the boroughs, this Queens spot is closest to my heart. First off, the L.A. burrito is something I love and think about often. It’s so good! Really, any of the dishes that come with brisket have me feeling this way. And the chips? Perfecto! Haven’t had a bad dish here. And the service is great, plus they usually do deals on rainy or cold days. But warning: With nice, normal beach weather usually comes some serious crowds. We typically avoid dinner and brunch times so we’re guaranteed a table. Thank goodness they started bottling and selling their tomatillo sauce, because my fam and I have been contemplating sauce theft. Now we can just buy a bottle every time we come. Wee!

The ratings brought us here… The ambiance kept us there… and the service and food will bring us back! What a local gem! Recently moving into Rockaway Beach, I’ve been in search for a great Mexican restaurant and am so pleased to have finally found one! We ordered the L.A. Burrito(1 smoked chicken &1 Brisket) and they were both delicious. Enough food to fill you up. We also ordered the Chili seasoned fries which were good. For drinks we had a Sangria and Margaritas. The Sangria was just okay but the Margarita was fantastic. The staff(especially Ben & Chris) were on point and although the place was packed, the service was still friendly and sustained. Although I couldn’t give it just a 4 star because I was overwhelming pleased, there is always room for improvement too! It would have been nice to have chips and salsa complimentary(or for a buck or two) to enjoy with the meal. Can’t wait for our next dinner date to explore more on the menu.

We ordered a bunch of stuff to be delivered. We were told that our order would come in «30 to 40 minutes,» but in fact we got food after waiting for over an hour — and this was only after phoning Pico in the middle to ask for an update. Strike one. The tastes are all wrong. We got a black bean soup, two breakfast burritos, a shrimp taco and maybe some other stuff. The salsas were borderline disgusting. The burrito that I ate was one of the worst in memory. There were no high points. Strike two, and that’s a big strike two. The food wasn’t especially cheap. Strike three. A Mexican restaurant on 29th seemed like good news. «Seemed» is the important word here. Goodbye.

Three of us came to PICO on a Thursday night on a whim. I’ve been here before, but for the two other people I was with, it was their first time. We got seated right away and the hostess was really nice. The vibe in there is a really cute casual Mexican vibe with hanging lights and cozy booths and a spacious dinning room in the back. The cocktails are AMAZING. I had a new cocktail that they started making, I don’t remember the name, but it was a frozen drink – delicioussss! We ordered chips and guacamole and the corn we an appetizer. The guac was great, tasted so fresh, I just didn’t like how they kept such big chunks of avocado in it. The corn was excellent, they put some type of spices on it – out of this world! For my entrée I got the steak tacos that were a special for the night. The tacos came with rice, beans, and cole slaw on the side. They tasted really good, and was a different choice than the usually burrito I get when I go out for Mexican. The entrees were a great portion size. I loved PICO, and will definitely be back again.

House made guacamole is amazing! Their menu selection is eclectic and varied. Smoked brisket burrito was delish. They have a huge selection of tequilas and cocktails. The house margarita on the rocks was lemony and had a nice shot of tequila. Specials included duck enchiladas, pastrami tacos and seafood enchiladas. Although it was packed on a Saturday night, our waitress came by often and refilled our chips and water. A nice ambiance and décor to the back dining room and there is a bar with booths and communal table seating. Wish they had a place like this in Jersey! Will be back again for some more guac and their great margaritas!

«Hey Josh, let’s bike to the Rockaways,» said my friend this past Sunday. After warning her that I’m the 47th fastest biker in the city(according to 2013 Tour de Bronx statistics) and that she’s gotta keep up with me and Lucinda(muh bike), we headed to the outskirts of Brooklyn/Queens. Close to 20 miles of biking past midday can make one hungry(talking about my friend, I’m a goddamn dynamo and I could’ve done another 20 on adrenaline alone), so a bite to eat seemed a desirable proposition(for her). Never having been in the Rockaways previously, I got to Unilocaling to see what this part of town had to offer. Considering NYC’s anemic showings of Mexican cuisine, I was surprised to see a Mexican joint, in a not-so-oft-visited part of town, have near universal acclaim on Unilocal. More of a Mexican fusion joint, I was pleasantly surprised(and maybe a bit hungrier than I previously admitted). Their recommended dishes are those containing brisket, which they smoke and cure in house… pretty impressive stuff. That being said, I inhaled my brisket hash(w/cayenne hollandaise and guacamole) with impunity, and it was damn tasty; my biking partner enjoyed her brisket burrito as well. The check-in deal including the bread pudding was how we topped off the meal. Some pretty awesome stuff for free too. A nice hunk o’ bread with some ice cream on top?! Hell yeah. All in all, some pretty damn good eats in this part of town, and we didn’t even get the $ 8 mimosa pitchers in the brunch special(can’t drink and bike you know). Next time though? I won’t say no to that.
