This is by far the best pizza in Rockford! Also great service. Would definitely recommend it if you like deep dish pizza Chicago pizza.
Just do not try to use a mobile coupon here! They will only take a paper coupon!

Awesome chicago style pizza! A small deep dish and an appetizer is more than enough for two with leftovers to bring home.

I love me some deep dish Chicago style pizza and this delivers. We started off with an appetizer basket and everything was amazing. Great fried cheese! But the start of the show was the Mack Daddy of a Pizza. I think it weighed like 20 pounds (It was just the medium!) Me, my husband and my Mother in law could only finish half of this sucker. It was the perfect temp (you know, some of these pizzas are like flamming hot) and perfectly cooked.
If I had one complaint, it was a tad hot in the restaraunt, but other then that perfection. We will come back the next time we are in town

I took my wife to this location for her birthday along with my stepdaughter and her boyfriend today and our experience was a joke. We arrived just before 12:30pm to an almost empty restaurant and were seated and given drinks. When it came time to order, the appetizer on the menu we ordered was no longer available, and after going with a sampler we found out that a different appetizer also included was out of stock. Whatever… we cut our losses and ordered entrees. My stepdaughter and I ordered sandwiches while my wife and the SD’s boyfriend got an all-​meat deep dish. The sandwiches and pizza arrived at almost the same time, which would be great… except for the fact our server gave our pizza to someone else who arrived 20 minutes later and gave us a vegetarian which was a no-​go (several other tables filled after us and were served food prior as well). We were comped for the pizza and appetizer BUT it meant another almost hour long wait for a new pizza to arrive, by which point the whole idea of us eating together for her birthday was rendered a moot point… and we had already basically lost our appetites by the time it showed. We finally got out of there almost 3 hours after arriving… and won’t be returning. Not to this location at least. Beware… our server’s name was the same as the system Unilocal uses for ratings.

Took my wife, daughter and her friend there today for lunch. Awesome deep dish pizza. It was hot and had fresh meat and veggies on it just the way my wife makes at home. The crust was like a light flakey biscuit which was phenomenal. Very friendly greeter, the waitress was nice and efficient. The place was clean including the bathroom. Be prepared to wait a little bit extra for the deep dish since they make them from scratch but it was definitely worth it! We loved this place! 5 plus stars.

Best Pizza I’ve ever had in my life! It’s been my favorite pizza place since I was eight years old &&& I am yet to find a better pizza! &&& I just found out they have their own signature wine! I’ve heard some good things about it, but I am still yet to try it!

Perfect stuffed pizza every time. Go every time we come to town. Highly recommended. Wonderful wait staff and super consistent kitchen!!!

Very good pizza and is always ready when they say it will be. Management is always present and very nice to guests. The only thing is if you want it cut be sure to ask because it comes uncut if you don’t.

Go to pizza place for deep dish in Rockford. Since we only get that once in a blue moon, it is also my favorite for this crust pizza. They have a ton of cheese, which is my favorite but you can also order a light version. They are pretty expensive so we don’t order often.

My first time to IL, and I was told to try Chicago stuffed pizza. I found this place on Unilocal,and gave it a try. So glad I did. The pizza was amazing! Olga was my server, and she was top notch! So friendly and sweet. If I come back to Rockford, I’ll definitely come back here! :-)

We went to dinner here on Saturday. The roof was leaking in the area we were seated, which was allowed to drip on the floor rather than placing a bucket under it. The wifi they boasted about, ended up having a charge to use it. When reviewing the menu with the server we discovered several items on the menu weren’t offered at this location. In addition, several items were offered which weren’t on the menu. They have a standard menu from the Chicago location.
We placed our order of a stuffed pizza, knowing it would take a while to cook. We then continued to look at the menu to decide on an appetizer while we were waiting. The server didn’t return to see if we were ready for at least 10 minutes. Once we ordered our salads it took another 10 minutes to receive them.
The pizza we ordered which we anticipated as a wait of approximately 35 minutes actually took over an hour to receive. Once we got it, it really wasn’t that great.
We have another restaurant we’ve found which has much better service, atmosphere and food on general we will return to next time we want a stuffed pizza.

Chicken is precooked and comes from a bag. As near as I can tell nothing is fresh or cooked in house. The Peas were still frozen on my plate. I hear the pizza is good but I wouldn’t know. I will never come back.

It was the best deep dish pizza I’ve ever had.
The staff is unbelievable every time your drink is half-​full they come around and give you a new drink they were the best best.
If deep dish is not your thing they also have thin crust pizza as well.

Best deep dish pizza around — I’ve been loving this pizza for over 16 years, but it has been more difficult since relocating to Colorado, and I was only able to enjoy the pizza when I came back for family visits.
…until they started shipping pizzas to the lower 48! Now I can enjoy the pizzas anytime!
Now I know I’ve just been praising the franchise, but let’s talk about the Rockford location. Big, open and airy, the dining room is very comfortable. The service is always top notch, even once it gets crowded. I feel that the space allows your party to relaxed and comfortable.
And if you aren’t in the mood for pizza, their Italian Beef sandwich is absolutely second to none. Mouth watering. Spicy. Mmmmmm I just got so hungry thinking about it… I’m about to place an order for some more!

Best Chicago deep dish pizza around. I would highly recommend this place.

I haven’t had deep dish pizza around in the area as good as theirs before. If you are in Rockford and want some good pizza, do not pass this place up!

Was here for a birthday and had the absolute best pizza that I have ever had. True «Chicago style». Even being in a large group of 11 the server was super attentive and even when she mixed up ingredients on 2 of the pizzas ordered. Instead of my friend getting ham and Canadian bacon they just had ham and I had the bacon on mine she had it fixed promptly and there was not a long wait for the second pizza and did not charge me extra for the accidental extra topping. Overall good experience for a large group. Would love to try it with less people at some point
Have been back since with a smaller party and they still exceeded my expectations. No matter the party size you are in for a treat with excellent service and suburb food

Hard to say if this is a real restaurant devolving to a sports bar — as is all too common these days — or a local joint trying to become something better. House salad with raw fennel was a nice surprise, but otherwise plain. Shrimp Picante Fetachini was interesting offering for primarily a pizza place, and fairly well executed. Casual dining with very good food. Much better choice than more common chain restaurants: better food, and better service.

Came here with my boyfriend and his parents in a Thu evening. The restaurant was clean, inviting, with red and white table cloth like many Italian restaurants in town. We ordered the house salad, the small deep dish pizza (with Italian beef, mushrooms, and sausage), and the small Chicago style thin crust pizza. Everything was delicious. The salad had a light lemon zest dressing with fresh greens. The pizzas were great and very filling. The 4 o us combined only managed to eat half of both pizzas.
Overall service was good. Our waitress was not very bright but she was courteous. We will be back.

This pizza is so good I can’t tell the difference from Gino’s in Chicago IL. If you want Chicago style deep dish pizza you can’t go wrong with Giordano’s. I recommend the classic.

I love Giordano’s, but I must say, this was just a tiny bit of a let-​down.
My chopped salad was very good. The lettuce was fresh, and the mix of veggies and dressing was just right. Thoroughly enjoyed it. But on to the main course…
The pizza looked right, but just had a little something missing. The crust was right, as was the cheese. In my opinion, Giordano’s always skimps on toppings, but they do that in downtown Chicago, too.
But the sauce must have been missing some garlic or something. It was just slightly bland. Wish I could articulate better, but I cannot. I’d rate it 80% as good as their Chicago locations.
Our server was great — very warm and friendly and helpful.
MY ADVICE: If you’ve never tried REAL Chicago deep-​dish, go here and you’ll love it. If you are a real deep-​dish veteran, you might be a touch disappointed.
