Sailing off of the coast of Rockland Maine on a schooner built in 1922 is definitely a blast! The captain and crew are extremely capable and really go out of their way to make the trip enjoyable. The food is freshly prepared on board and was quite good. You don’t need any previous sailing experience to enjoy the sail, but make sure that your expectations are correctly set– this is NOT a cruise liner. The bunks are small and primarily for sleeping. The galley is a very comfortable spot for hanging around below deck, but this is largely an outdoor experience that allows one to enjoy the beautiful Maine coastline in a unique way.
