First of all the place is nice and clean. The serving staff is very friendly. The food that my wife and I ate was very very good. We both got very full. The price was a little high but I think very well worth it. I will recommend this place to all my friends and we will be back soon to try other delights.

The blue cheese burger was decent. The beer battered fries are pretty awesome. I would recommend and go back. I wouldn’t say it’s the best and can’t give it 4 stars yet.

This is a hidden gem!!! I wished west Roseville had moo moos! The food is amazing and the staff is perfect. My husband and I had to take our car in to America’s tires and we decided to grab food before we sat for 45 minutes. Service on the phone was great, the food was ready at the time it was supposed to be, and the food was to die for! I had a Greek salad with grilled chicken and the dressing was bomb. My husband had the flaming moo with fried jalapenos inside and oh man it was great. The beer battered fries are a must have!!! I can’t wait to bring my family here and try breakfast lunch and dinner! Calvin is amazing!

I passed by this place before and wanted to try MooMoo’s. I didn’t realize it was a «sit-down» place, so I sat at the bar(yeah, they serve alcohol). Not that there’s anything wrong with that. But it explains why the guys are constantly moving through the bar area. I had the Classic Moo, to try it out without the fancy stuff they put on a burger and charge you more for. It was just okay. Nothing special about it. And I keep saying that I get a better burger at Wendy’s. This place makes that statement true. I also got the sweet potato fries. Again, nothing to call mom about. Food is just so-so. The guys try to make it a «fun» place, but I thought the service was also just so-so. Nothing special. That’s why the mediocre 3 stars. Nothing special. Moove on…

Ate here for the first time and ordered the chipotle chicken burger, beer battered fries, green salad, and aloha moo. I’m definitely impressed and will come back for the casual ambiance, good food and nice beer assortment. The chipotle burger rivaled one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had with many savory flavors and super juicy meat. Overall this place is stellar for a casual dinner for two at under $ 22.

I was craving a big juicy burger after gorging on lobster rolls the day before so we hit up Moo Moo’s Burger Barn. MMBB is located in a shopping center pretty close to Dutch Bro’s Coffee. There are a wide variety of specialty 1⁄3 pound burgers which go for $ 7.50-$ 8 ala carte. We tried the Pastrami burger and Oinking Burger(pulled pork) along with an appetizer sampler $ 10.95. The burgers were just okay my Oinking Burger had way to much strong tangy BBQ sauce which drowned out the sweet coleslaw. I also thought the texture of the pulled pork didn’t pair well with my burger. The Pastrami burger was much tastier in my opinion with a better balance of flavors. The appetizer plate was huge with: 3 chicken tenders, jalapeño poppers, onion rings, cheese sticks and zucchini all deep fried to golden brown perfection. Service was fast friendly and attentive. Overall I didn’t find anything special about Moo Moo’s other than the cute name, but in a pinch this isn’t a bad spot to satisfy your burger craving.

I love it here! The employees are awesome. They are like a big family! The flaming moo is too die for and their beer battered fries are delightful as well. I had a dinner salad last time I went and it was one of the best I’ve had at restaurant. To others that say the employees socialize too much… to me it looks like friends hanging out after work because they like it there too much to go home right away. My only comment is I wish you guys were open later sometimes my busy schedule doesn’t allow me to eat until later and moo moos would be my choice otherwise. Keep up the great work! Jess

HOLYCOW this place is good! Did you know this place is a breakfast spot too? We went in last Sat morning 3÷25÷2016 and we were literally the only people there… which was awesome because we got AMAZING service by Gerardo! Awesome personality. We had the Biscuits and Gravy and Moo Mess. Overall everything was very satisfying.

The burgers weren’t the best but the staff was awesome! This is a burger joint with table service. First off, this isn’t a fast food joint! You’re not going to get fast food prices either, the burgers are served on real plates(not paper or styrofoam) so you’ll pay more than you would at C’s JR. Once you enter, you wait for a table, they seat you, place your order, la-di-dah! You know the routine. They have lots of different burger choices along with a good selection of sandwiches as well. I ordered the Classic Moo and hubs ordered the Double Moo. The burgers come with Moo sauce which is similar to Thousand Island. I’m glad it was on my burger because the burger was on the dry side. Hubs agreed his was overcooked but the cheese along with the Moo sauce was his saving grace. We ordered the burgers medium well but it came out well done. The fries and onion rings were tasty but would’ve loved it more if I got the Tabasco I requested. I really think that this place has potential, the staff is very friendly and work their booties off. I can see why this place is fast becoming a popular hangout with the locals.

Moooooove and go check this place out! Definitely not what I expected… a sit down burger experience… and so many variations of burgers… it’s insane! I tried the Oink Oink Moo which had in house, hand pulled BBQ pork, coleslaw and onion straws… it was sooooo incredibly good! My husband had the BMS Moo which was bacon, mushroom, Swiss… he loved it because that is his usual favorite… but…truth be told I could tell he was a tad jealous of my BBQ goodness!!! We both also had the beer battered fries which were of course delicious… I mean how could they not be… potatoes that previously frolicked in beer and then deep fried… come on… they were bliss! Of course the piece de resistance was my Shirley Temple! Gerardo made it «his» way… which had good grenadine… not just torani syrup and in a pint glass topped off with 4 cherries… quite schnazzy if you ask me! The only thing more fun and crazy than the menu offerings was Gerardo’s personality! He was a blast to have as our server! Sweet like grenadine and served with a side of spicy… good times for sure! We will definitely be back… but not too soon or too often… because even though they have some healthier alternatives… I wouldn’t want anything other than a deliciously messy burger… and I don’t want to resemble the name of the burger that had my tastebuds dancing and jumping for joy! Check them out you must… enjoy it all you will!!!

So at first glance this place actually nothing much but it’s so customer friendly. Calvin is amazing. He is probably one of the best servers I have had in such a long time and very communicative with his customers. I always get the buffalo chicken sandwich and have never had a problem with it. It’s delicious. We even had conversations with the server after the meal and he was such a down to earth person and really enjoyed his conversation. I would really recommend coming here and if it’s not for the food it’ll be for the customer service.

Years ago, pre Unilocal,I visited a Moo Moo’s in Stockton off of I-5 and was happy with the experience. I am glad to see that they are doing well enough to open a location in Rocklin. Walked in and was seated very quickly at the bar with ESPN on the tube. The server was incredibly nice and was outgoing. They have bear and wine and enough burgers to satisfy any craving. Ordered the Classic Moo and added American Cheese. The burger came dressed with LTOP on a sesame bun with their delightful Moo Sauce. Think thousand island but creamier. The fries were soft but were consumed dutifully. The burger was a touch underseasoned but the moo and cheese covered it nicely. The burger was cooked to well. Overall, great service and great décor and a solid burger.

We decided to try this new burger place Moo Moo’s Burger Barn for dinner tonight. It was clean inside and to me it had the«new restaurant» smell mixed in with grilled burgers. Our waiter was friendly and greeted us with a smile. My wife ordered the classic burger and I ordered the pastrami moo burger. We got our drinks quick but waited about 20 minutes for our food. When our burgers finally arrived they looked appealing visually. Unfortunately, my onion rings were cold and oily and my wife’s fries were warm but undercooked. It’s kinda tough to mess up fries, right? What I can say is that my pastrami moo burger was tasty and well-prepared. My wife’s classic burger was also good. My pastrami moo burger was $ 10.75 and my wife’s classic burger was $ 8.30. Thankfully the burgers tasted good but the sides were disappointing. If the fries and rings were better prepared, then it would be a 4 star for sure. I wouldn’t count them out and would give them a second chance. Hopefully, it will be better next time.

Let’s see… where do I begin to describe EXCELLENCE! Not only in burgers, but in ambiance, friendly staff, and a superior experience. For a hobby, I photograph and post write-ups on my Facebook page, and my web site( ) of practically every restaurant I visit. As I walked in the door of Moo Moo’s, and was greeted by friendly Nina, and after I seated myself at the counter, I gave her one of my business cards, and briefed her on my «mission,» so to speak: Enjoy a great burger, take photos, and post a write-up on FB, as well as my web site. She was enthusiastic and happy. Since today was my first visit to Moo Moo’s, I ordered their«signature» burger, which is the«Classic Moo,» along with«regular» fries, dusted in sea salt. No worries, as the extensive menu features 20+ burger selections, sandwiches, salads, and even fish and chips. Breakfast is available from 0730 to 1130, which, since I’m a breakfast fiend, grabbed my interest. Another time? Moo Moo’s is NOT a «fast food» restaurant, or a «drive-in,» so you can expect a wait of 15 or 20 minutes for your burger. The wait is worth every second! Also, it’s a «sit-down» restaurant, so you have a real person seat you, in my case, Nina, who I would say is not only a friendly and efficient server, but one of the nicest people that I have ever had the pleasure to meet. No, you don’t place your order, pay for it at the counter, and in turn receive a number, but you actually sit down at a table, or the counter, check out the menu, and place your order. So if you’re expecting«Mac-Burger» experience, you’ve come to the wrong restaurant. So after enjoying 15 or 20 minutes chatting with Nina, as she performed her duties, I heard a «ding-ding,» and she disappeared to the kitchen, to return, with a smile on her face, what later proved to be the best burger that I’ve enjoyed in the nearly 20 years that I’ve been a resident of western Placer County. «Classic Moo…» Speaking of Nina, management should keep an eye on keeping this gal as an employee, and maybe doubling her salary, as she is as good as it gets when it comes to a «face on the business.» She is efficient, friendly, and makes you feel like a member of an extended family. Oh yeah! You get a sesame seed bun that’s ridiculously fresh… ditto for the 1/3-pound beef patty, and the tomato, lettuce and onion. The de facto standard for the burger is for the meat to be cooked medium, and the burger to be garnished with«Moo Sauce.» All that was fine with me, as I wanted to enjoy a «de facto standard» burger on my shakedown cruise. However, if you’re not«standard,» and most of us aren’t, all you have to do is tell the friendly staff what you want, e.g., your burger cooked to well done, no «Moo Sauce,» sauce on the side, etc., and they will gladly honor your request. If they goof up, just mention it, and they’ll fix the issue to your satisfaction, and make it right for you. The staff are good people, they deliver a quality product, they love their jobs, and their mission is to please. Let’s see… I got a bit off track. Everything is fresh, as Moo Moo’s takes pride in doing business with local suppliers of condiments, produce, and meat. The meat is never frozen — you can tell when you bite into the burger — and the balance of meat, bun, condiment and veggie is perfect. Each bite is a delight… Holy toledo, this is a great burger! My burger: In a phrase, «Old School.» OK, as a little kid, I grew up in rural California, in the 1960’s, before the corporate burger giants took over.(Yes, we loved them; I remember of driving 60 miles to Fresno to enjoy a McBurger…) Sure, a «fast food» burger may be a tad less expensive, but the burgers that Moo Moo’s produces are some of the best that I’ve ever enjoyed in western Placer County, and they remind me of the burgers that I enjoyed as a kid, in the early 1960’s, when each burger was made to order, YOURWAY, and the staff actually took pride in their job, and their product, and enjoyed their work. If I sound like I’m writing a commercial for Moo Moo’s, sorry, as I’m simply a satisfied customer, who enjoys a great burger, served by friendly staff. The funny thing is that I only write Unilocal reviews — I’m busy on my web site and Facebook — for two reasons on restaurants: 1) Outstanding 2) Ugly. Moo Moo’s Burger Barn DEFINITELY belongs in the outstanding category. If you’re in the«moo-d» for one of the best burger in western Placer County, head to Moo Moo’s Burger Barn. Check out my web site at for more articles about restaurants in Roseville, California and beyond…

They just opened on December 21, 2015 so it’s still pretty new. The first thing I noticed when walking in was that the place smelled faintly of men’s cologne. There didn’t seem to be much air circulating inside the restaurant so it seemed a little stagnant there. I asked my husband if he smelled the cologne and he said he did, and he felt the place smelled«industrial»(probably being a new building and all). We came on a Tuesday evening around 5:30pm and there was a steady flow of customers coming into the restaurant. The menus were cute and easy to read but I was disappointed that their salad choices were mainly Caesar. No Cobb??? We are glad we read some Unilocal reviews before coming, so we knew it was a sit down restaurant instead of a quick fast food burger joint. We were seated quickly and our server was friendly and attentive. Drinks came fast but food came slower than we were used to. Probably around 20 – 25 minutes from the moment we ordered. The burgers seemed pricier than I would have guessed for the way the restaurant felt. I can see paying $ 10 for a gourmet burger at Red Robin, but here it felt a little too high. But that’s ok, it was our first time – if the food was great, we wouldn’t mind paying a little more. The burgers were served on plastic plates, kinda like cafeteria tray quality. That didn’t strike me as being a higher end burger joint, but made it seem cheaper. If they want to do a sit down restaurant, why not invest in «real» plates? I felt like I was at a college dorm. Husband got pastrami moo and I stuck with the classic moo burger. Husband asked me to taste an onion ring and the one I tried was SOAKED in oil. A subsequent onion ring was a little better but that first onion ring was just too greasy! My fries were terrible. I can see why the Unilocal reviewers commented about the regular fries being bad. It’s no joke. I can’t figure out if they’re just poor quality(possibly more inexpensive) or just not prepared well. I don’t think I’m usually picky about fries but these were bad. Management might look into changing vendors because these fries are not going to entice customers to come back(like Red Robin or other places do). Burger was ok. It came with a side of ranch, which was needed because there wasn’t much flavor to the burger. Maybe they need to put more moo-moo sauce(Thousand island) on the buns or something. The consistency of the burger was good. It was a pretty big patty and didn’t seem overly greasy. Ambiance was ok. I felt like the tables were way too close together; we could hear entire conversations of everyone around us. 80’s music was playing in the background. When you finish your meal, you take your bill to the front register to pay. Probably will get better after they are open for a few more months. As of now, everything is just okay. Nothing too bad, but nothing too fabulous.

This place is right next door to my work so I was bound to try it. My first thought was Hahahhaa at the Name of the Place Moo Moo’s Burger Barn. But I really enjoyed the Buffalo chicken, it is pretty spicy so if there was less buffalo sauce it would be better but it’s pretty delicious! I haven’t tried the beef yet, but I enjoyed the shake as well. The service was great, Spencer earned this place five stars! :)

Moo moo made my day! Sometimes I forget to pack a lunch for work and this day I was lucky enough to have a good man bring me some ‘vittles’ from MOOMOO!(just so fun to say) He sent pictures of the menu and I was torn between the Ruben($ 7.15) and the Burger($ 5.50) so I decided on the Moo Melt($ 6.55) which is a burger on grilled rye bread with American and Swiss cheese, Moo sauce, and grilled onion. The burger was cooked to order, juicy and the rye bread was just what I wanted. Good idea for a compromise! The only issue for me; I didn’t read the menu all the way for a description of the Moo Sauce, which is similar to Thousand Island. Not my favorite and there was quite a bit on the sandwich. If I were to do it again, I would ask for the sauce on the side so I could put just a little on because it was good, just too abundant. That’s just me though! You can upgrade your sandwich to include a side and soda for a couple dollars more. I tried some of the Beer Battered Onion Rings($ 6.75/à la carte) and was pleased to hear they make their own ranch. I like that in a restaurant. Anyway, if you are in the Rocklin area and want to try a new place in town, give it shot. They have a wide menu to satisfy anyone with a burger/sandwich mindset. There is also a kids menu for those with little ones. Next time I am looking forward to trying that Ruben(sauce on side).
