We’re out here in the forgotten lands when it comes to transportation. Light rail? Nope. Buses? Who really uses them out here? Let’s face it, SacRT could use some improvements but at at least they exist! The Rocklin Amtrak and Capitol Corridor are the solution. I wish they would add more routes though. There’s only one leaving in the morning and one coming back in the PM. Uh, can we have a few more options please? Still, beggars can’t be choosy. For 12 bucks a trip its pretty spendy per ticket. If you get a 10 ticket pack online, it’s half price though. I take it to the Sacramento Amtrak station. Now I have full access to the light rail and downtown Sacramento. You can of course take this bad boy all the way into the Bay! I’m going out there for a conference on Monday. Easy peasy. One ticket price(cost me around 30 one way) includes wifi all the way. Sometimes you have to take a connecting bus, but it’s included in the fare. Many of the stations in the Bay have easy connections to BART. I love you Rocklin Amtrack, you are my public transportation connection to the world!
