Had the most tender grilled chicken I have eaten in a long time. The service was excellent as well.

I’m not a red meat eater, so I can’t speak on their steaks, but I can speak about the steakhouse from another view. The first time I noticed this restaurant I was lost in Rockmart. The Frontier Steakhouse is a bit off the beaten trail, and isn’t mixed in with the other businesses and restaurants in Rockmart. While it may be a bit hard for some to find, it’s still worth the journey. Above the entrance hangs a coke a cola sign and as you walk in you are greeted by some roaming dogs and a friendly old bobtail cat. The restaurant must be owned by someone who really loves antiques and vintage cars, because that’s what this place is filled with. The walls are covered with old advertising pieces, there are a few old gas pumps spread around, and in one of the back rooms, there is a real, beautiful, vintage, red car. Our waitresses seemed a bit rushed, maybe because we were coming in an hour before closing, but she pressed us to hurry and order and whenever you came into our dinning room she flew around like crazy, but I don’t blame her because she seemed to be the only waitress working at that hour. I ordered a small 9 inch pizza with black olives. It really was a great deal at around 5 bucks. Really I could have split it, and then my meal would have only been 2.50. The pizza was pretty good, better than okay but not outstanding. The bread that they brought out was warm and okay while the butter they brought out with it was the real standout, even if I had to have it in moderation, you know being butter and all. The people I was with ordered salads and steak with baked potatoes. The salads were just basic iced berg lettuce with a few toppings, so nothing special really. They said their food was good, not fantastic but good. Everything was like a home cooked meal, especially with the restaurant appearing to be an old house just reconfigured into a restaurant. Over all it was a good meal. Not great, but good.
