So a funeral had me traveling to the outer regions of Atlanta, and of course being all cityfied, I had to think that gas would be less in the little small towns an hour and a half outside the city limits. Well that was untrue, except for this one gas station. Raceway price was $ 2.93 while everyone else — BP, Exxon, Texaco and QT… even a place called Cowboys was between $ 3.05-$ 3.15. So on the way back from the funeral, I stopped in and filled up here for the lesser rate. One other thing that most people from Atlanta knows, is that if you want to try your hand at the lottery, these small towns on the outskirts of the city are your best bet for winning unless you are one of those people that choose their own numbers. Most likey, I go with the Quikpick and hope for the best. So after filling up, I went in and got two lottery tickets. I was stunned when the sign on the door said, Fresh Krispy Kream donughts… I mean Kripsy Kream is an hour plus away… how is that gonna be possible? Well… if by fresh they mean in a box with a still valid expired date, then fresh is what I will call them also. I was hopin it was going to be a mini-store with a HOT light flashing. This place also had HOT boiled peanuts and they fry catfish to order. Now, call me a skeptic, but… I dont want catfish that is fried to order at a gas station, but there were three people waiting for their order, so… maybe I need to be less of a skeptic… Not sure if I’ll ever have a chance to visit again as I was coming back from a funeral… but I shole do appreciate the gas for 23 cents less than I would have paid anywhere else!
