I’m allergic to cigarettes and I smelled old cigarettes the entire time.
The owner was eyeing me and saying odd things and presenting himself as if he knew much more than he did. Insincere guy.
Too bad because we were in a buying mood.
Got some shells in another town.
He used to have a nice girl there years back

Well, the seashells might be cute but the man at the counter was unnecessarily rude. Yesterday I was looking for some nautical-​inspired decorations for my house and garden and stepped into the store. There were no other customers. I smiled at the man at the counter and then visually scanned around the store for about 5 seconds when he said, «Seashells. It’s seashells, honey. This isn’t Kmart.» Umm, ok? You lost a sale. I went on and bought some cute mermaid decorations from a store across the street. Why be rude to a smiling customer? Do you prefer to be alone in your store and make no sales?

i’m surprised this is the first review for captain steve’s seashell shop! we stumbled upon this place while day tripping in rockport this past weekend. it was a nice break from all of the «galleries» that are on every corner — ($ 1500 for a watercolor painting of the beach, anyone?).
capt. steve has the coolest selection of sea shells from all over the world at very reasonable prices. best place to grab souvenirs in rockport. PLUSSSSS the lady working the counter was very friendly and helpful.
capt. steve sells seashells by the seashore, if you know what i mean.
