I whole heartedly agree with many of the other reviews here that this place is worth a stop in and browse. Just try to resist buying something here. Nice place to buy a trinket or two or a take home gift for someone else. I was looking for a trinket to take from this visit and found the perfect little silver bracelet with a whale tail. It looks so nice around my wrist and when I look at it I will remember my perfect day I spent on Bearskin Neck with my pals.
The counter lady was pleasant. She helped me pick out my beautiful piece. It was pretty busy for a week day however I felt attended too.

This was our second Rockport vacation. Last year we stayed for 2 weeks, this year for 3. During these visits, I had plenty of time to wander around the town and Bearskin Neck and went in many jewelry shops and I have to say that Out of the Blue is one of two best shops for unique, reasonably-​priced jewelry that I found in the area.
I bought several pieces both this year and last for me and for gifts as well. The women who work in the shop are friendly and patient (as I tried to decide which shade of blue sea glass earrings looked best with the sea glass necklace…)

I stopped in Out of the Blue today, and got excellent service as usual. They have a lot of beautiful pieces in for the summer season. The woman working the counter took the time to show me several sea glass bracelets. I decided on a really cool one (which my boyfriend bought– so thank you to him) and she was pleasant as always. I love this store. The woman always remembers us, and actually likes to hear about what we think of the store and the pieces. As usual, I urge anyone shopping in downtown Rockport to stop in!

Out of the Blue is a great little jewelry and accessory shop tucked near the end of the Neck in Rockport. It’s easy to pass by mistakenly, so be sure you go in and take a look! The jewelry is far from tacky, but it’s not too expensive or fragile either.
They also have some neat little items like themed magnets, funny mints and gum, gel window stickers, and I believe I even saw a sushi dish set in there as well as a few other neat little things. There are definitely some things in here you won’t find in the other Rockport stores, and it’s not loaded with tourist fodder.

Rockport has more than its share of jewelry shops (yes, that includes you, Village Silversmith) but Out of the Blue gets my vote for most wearable pieces for the most reasonable price — a difficult balance on the tourist-​crazed Bearskin Neck. I’m not one for some of the more «eccentric» pieces you can find at the artisan shops, but stuff at Out of the Blue has caught my eye more than once. Finally made the plunge and bought a few pieces on my most recent trip, and don’t think I’ll regret it.
Quick tip: if you can pay cash, some stores in Rockport are able to offer you a 20% discount. Don’t be shy to ask!
