I’ve used Sailor Dog Charters several times when in the Rockport area. It is truely wonderful. Captain Glenn is very knowledgeable about sailing and is cautious so I felt safe in his hands. Plus he used to he an emergency room doc so if anything goes wrong, he knows what to do… an added bonus :) What makes this charter so nice is the privacy and the cost. The views of the Mass coast are so pretty making the experience so peaceful. Definitely don’t hesitate about this charter. You will not be disappointed. Actually I guarantee you will want to go out again with Captain Glenn. Enjoy :)

My wife and I lived in Massachusetts many years ago and did a lot of sailing in both Maine and Massachusetts while we lived here. We were in Rockport for the weekend after dropping off our daughter for her freshman year in college in Boston. We are now from California and wanted to get out on the water. For liability reasons, it is almost impossible to arrange day bareboat charters, so you have to hire the skipper and the boat. We hired Glenn for a two hour sunset sail from 5−7pm the first week of September, 2009. We have sailed with a lot of skippers and have never had a better experience. Glenn is a former internist at Newton-Wellesley hospital who retired a few years ago. He sails a Nonesuch 30, a great boat for all be the most intense sailors. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history and the area and is well known to the competition(what there is of it) and the local harbormaster. I sailed quite a bit over the course of the evening(dodging lobster buoys) and getting periodic grief when I paid a little too much attention to my surroundings rather than the course. His prices are reasonable, the conversation is excellent and the experience of the evening is fantastic. I recommend Glenn to anyone who has a remote interest in sailing, the water, sightseeing, or just bringing a bottle of wine to sip and watch the view. Malcolm & Jill
