I love Bonefish Grill. Everything about it was perfect to me. I went here for a post wedding dinner with my friends and I fell in love ever since. I’m shocked at myself for only going once. We were seated right away and our server was amazing. She was very attentive and had a great smile. Everything about her was genuine. I order the Bang Bang shrimp. That was literally the highlight of the night. It was soooooo delicious. And for my entrée I had grilled shrimp with broccoli and mash potatoes. Everything was fresh and tasty. I will definitely return and I highly recommend.

I really like the atmosphere of this restaurant. It’s spacious, well decorated and overall very relaxing. I’ve been here a few times and the staff have always been very friendly and efficient. We usually get seated pretty quickly on a friday night around 8:15pm. Cocktails here are really great. I love their White Cosmo and the Pomegranate Martini’s. They’re well made and at a decent price. The Seafood here is good, I’ve had the Bang Bang Shrimp, Ahi Tuna and the Oscar Mahi Mahi. However some of their dishes seem to be not so good and they don’t make an effort to change them. For instance, the«truffle mac and cheese» is just awful and always comes to the table COLD. They could pull out a box of kraft and do better if only it was HOT. This could be a much better restaurant if the dishes that people didn’t like were improved. I think that’s generally why this place only usually gets 3.5 stars.

We had a 7pm reservation for 6 people. All but one person arrived well before 7 but they would not seat us. the last person showed at 7:07 and they told us the table was given away. we were sitting waiting yet no other table came in in that time frame. they tried to sit us at bar top seating, normally that would be fine but our grandfather was with us and he is 85 years old he can not sit us at one of those. then they placed us in the bar area next the bathroom. we asked if anything else available and the host said no– the restaurant was at about 15% full why not in the main dining I’m not sure. We were a party of 6 yet they pushed two huge tables together it was quite strange upon seating someone asked the host about a fish on the menu and his answer was rough i haven’t had it but i heard its rough not sure what that means but ok when the waitress came she over didnt read specials then took drink orders. Water glasses were dirty when they came. as waitress was taking orders someone asked what the Oscar cooking style was, the waitress looked very confused asked her a menu on the table and read something off but not really explaining the style. five out of the six people ordered. When food came the chef came out and said party of 6 but only 4 orders. We said no 5 orders. She forgot to put my 85yr old grandfathers food in. He ordered talipia. 20 minutes later when everyone is done the chef walks out again i gave him a look and he said«what, its coming… she forgot to put it in». his food finally came with NO I’m sorry, she didnt even come over to apologize ever. Ive been a buser, waitress and bartender i know the industry and I’m sorry this girl needs to find a new job. Not once in the entire meal did she come over to even ask if anything was ok. My brother grabed her attention at one point and said do you have fresh cracked pepper. she walked to another table grabbed a pepper shaker off and said«i think this is it but its whole pepper».ummmm ok. Never was asked if drinks needed refreshing, never checked how it was. Now again the restaurant was mainy 15% full and one table of two people came in after us in the whole 1 ½hr we were there. at the end she gave us the bill which was over 300 $ and yup grandpas forgotten came out 25 min later meal was on the bill. Normally if i was the waitress i would of comped the meal or even taken an app off. Nope full price, oh and the manager never came out. if a meal was messed up in any of the places i have worked in the manager would of came and said something. Ok we gave two credit cards and some cash. Told her amex is 100 visa 140 and the rest in cash. So what happens of course she messed that up to, charged 140 on the amex and the rest on the visa… hunny do you think you were getting a 90 $ tip… then she couldn’t figure out how to fix the charge snafu didnt ask for help just walked around confused from register(pos system) to another. Finally we just asked for the cash back. Now before you ask why we paid two cards and cash. The cash was the remiaing bill plus her tip, as anyone in the industy knows cash tips are better than credit cards as you get taxed on the credit card tip but not the cash so we wanted her to get the full tip as bad as the service was. so in conclusion as my first time to the restaurant i can faithfully say i will never return to this location again. bad service, bad management, bad chefs attitude the whole thing but a damper on a family members birthday dinner.

Our second visit to Bonefish was pretty good but not perfect and almost a carbon-copy of our last visit. We made reservations online for a Friday evening at 6:45. But parking took an additional fifteen minutes in congested RVC. Each entrée came with two sides, one of these, the fresh spinach(which was supposed to be sautéd in garlic and oil) was bitter and very undercooked. Right when we discovered this, our waitress seemed to do a disappearing act so by the time she checked on us we were virtually done polishing off the otherwise excellent Tilapia dishes. Again, the desserts are better then you might expect in this type of place. Waitress was acceptable, but barely. I don’t even know what type of gratuity I should give anymore, as waitress simply taps an iPad tablet, and runners did the rest. Total cost for two came in around $ 70.00 including gratuity. If Bonefish not had that one hiccup I would have thrown them five stars.

A great experience, Fresh fish, ceviche and oysters. Very good service with recommendations that were great. Thanks Justin T. The portions were more than enough. This was so much better than I expected since I had a disappointing experience at a Bonefish Grill in Florida, We will be back to this grill.

Went to bonefish on a Friday night for the first time besides the awesome service food was amazing. Ive lived in long island almost my whole life and just now discovered this gem. Audrey was my waitress she was great always smiling and on time with help but not over doing it.(which can be annoying) The manager came over to our table just to confirm out satisfaction which felt warm and even though it was unnecessary due to everything being fine it still made me feel like i was treated appropriately. I will be back with friends and family.

The bang bang shrimp rocked as well as the coconut shrimp and tuna tar tar. The sweet potato side was excellent. Also get the doughnuts. they are like toaster strudels. It’s a light crispy outside. Warm fluffy inside. Get it! I’ve herd people say it’s an upscale chain fish food resturant. I didn’t know it was a chain and the food was good. It’s fish so your looking at 20 $ an entrée. My suggestion would be get a grapefruit martini bang bang shrimp the coconut shrimp and the doughnuts. You will be happy.

Was never in Bonefish even though they’ve been around for a while. Fish is not my favorite so just the name kept me away. I was there for a meet up so kept to the bar area which was actually nicer than the restaurant. Lots of tables and televisions. Had the spicy shrimp on the appetizers, coconut shrimp, muscles and baby lamb chops. All were fantastic. The muscles were very meaty. Good sauce. Could have used some side bread though. Also excellent French fries. Would go back again. Also inexpensive drinks. Very nice martini menu — all around $ 8.

Went here after the Jones Beach Holiday Light Spectacular on a Thursday night. We were very surprised about how upscale the inside felt(we felt completely under dressed). We were greeted immediately the hostess was very nice and friendly to our 4 year old son. The menu was not overbearing(could use a couple more options) but was very large(obstructed view sized) LOL We ordered the lobster bisque(which contained large pieces of lobster) the corn chowder(so yummy going back just to eat it again) the baja fish tacos(because I can’t pass up on them ever) grilled chicken Cesar salad and the kids chicken tenders. Are server was friendly and attentive. The bathrooms were very clean. We look forward to coming back and trying other options.

I absolutely loved the food here. I tried swordfish for the first time, which isn’t a typical dish at seafood restaurants, and I had no complaints. It is a bit pricey, but the overall experience was great.

I’ve been here a few times and my experiences so far was great. The bang bang shrimp is so good, and the white sangria is really good also. On the weekends is best if you have a reservation because it can get pack really fast. In the week is a much relaxed feeling. The staff is really warm and friendly. You can go on a date here or bring a group. Overall great time at bone fish grill.

Many empty tables and they rather have you readout than sit you and give you water. Oysters on the half shell was shucked properly and was fresh. Why not put slices of lemon on the plate? Lobster tails has no flavor like it was boiled. Steak was cooked medium well when it was ordered medium rare. The mac and cheese had no flavor either. Ordered dessert and it came. The dishes from dinner are still on the table. Where’s the training???

Negative stars for management who was apologetic but poor at their job, and 3 stars for the friendly and accommodating waitress whose name I wish I could recall. No stars for the kitchen! While the bang bang chicken(I don’t eat seafood) was astoundingly delicious, and so were the desserts, the kitchen staff royally destroyed the lamb chops and steaks orders. Be weary. Half the chops were fresh off the animal rare, freezing inside and out(not«cooked rare»), half were over cooked severely(dry and completely depleted of blood and flavor/inedible). They sent out the same chops after we complained now fully destroyed! Removed from the bill(obviously) Ordered my steak rare, it came well, not even medium. They fixed it and took it off the bill, which wasn’t necessary, but they also just shoved my sides in the microwave while they made a new steak, good they didn’t waste it, bad they didn’t return fresh sides. Father in laws steak was ordered medium rare and came out rare – not too bad. He was hungry and doesn’t mind rare meat. Everything else came out fine, their take on a Moscow mule is great, martinis were apparently good but 2 of the 3 ordered were so weak you couldn’t taste the alcohol. One of the bartenders is heavy handed(they made my miles and I was happy). This all happened after a previous terrible experience for which I was not present and we were given dining coupons by a managing partner, very generous. Overall I’d give them another shot after that night but I can’t say the same for my partners family. Ps my partners father is a 5 star chef and is still disappointed in both the manager and the food/drink quality. Try that bang bang chicken!

My mom had gotten a gift card here so we decided to have a girl’s night out with us and my sister. We were excited to come here… at first. the décor is great, ambiance, music all great. Prixe Fixed Menu Tuesdays– why not? It’s interesting to me what restaurants consider as important these days though. like having a waiter for example? kinda the point, but ours«disappeared» right after we got our meal… Or should I say our main course… before our salad came out. So we had to remind them that we didn’t get our salads yet… Oh and silverware, we had to remind them of that too… Our water, yea you would think that was important. also had to hunt down someone for that too… at least the food was actually pretty good especially their brownie. the atmosphere was hip also, low score is just for service.
I came to this restaurant for lunch on a Saturday with my sister. I made a reservations for 12pm but they were definitely not needed because the place was pretty empty. When we arrived it was not clear where the parking for bonefish was. The posted sign mentioned valet service but we saw no valet. When we asked we were informed that the spot we were in was just fine. Once we entered the restaurant we were immediately seated but I am not sure why we were seated way in the back. There were no other diners present in the restaurant until about an hour later. The décor was very interesting to look at and the seating was plush. Our waiter greeted us almost immediately so we had to ask for time to look the menu over. The lunch menu was very short and the liquor options out numbered the food options. We ordered the bang bang shrimp as our appetizer which was better than what I remember when I went to bonefish in the Florida area. For my entrée I chose the Chilean sea bass with whipped garlic potatoes and snap peas while my sister had the Baja fish tacos. My sister chose to simply have water with lemon while I ordered their wild orchid Hawaiian martini. My drink choice was a winner because my drink was delicious and fruity without being overly sweet or syrupy. I could definitely taste the refreshing coconut water and pineapple. Overall, the service was great as well as the food. I definitely will return but wish they had a location more central to the five boroughs on NYC so I don’t have to go allll the way to Rockville Center!

Bonefish you held up to your sister store out in lake grove! Well done! After having my first experience at the lake Grove location I was eager to try the Rockville center one. My sister made a reservation for four people at 6 o’clock. We picked a good time because we decided to sit in the bar area and it wasnt super packed. Once the hostess seated us we were greeted by our waiter John. He was very warm and friendly. Me and my sister decided to order the Moscow Mule my mom ordered the Hawaiian martini and my dad just had a soda. The drinks came out and we were then soon ready to order. Since me and my sister are familiar with the menu we decided to order the appetizers for all of us to share. We what are the oysters Rockefeller the mac and cheese balls over a mango sauce shrimp tostadoes and 4 lobster tacos. I was very surprised that when we ordered our appetizers they also all came out together. In addition to our appetizers bread was brought to rest it was similar to Chibatta bread but light and airy. I like that the bread came with both olive oil with herbs and butter on the side. Usually you get one or the other. After a few minutes he finally decided what we were going to order for main meals. I ordered the lamb lollipop chops. I chose to have mashed sweet potatoes and it also came with snap peas. The sweet potato mash was amazing. You can tell that it was freshly made bc of its consistency. I asked my mom if I could try her drink because the presentation was just so pretty with the flower inside. Once I tried it I need to have my own. It was super sweet and not superstrong but you could tell it had the perfect balance. During dinner we were greeted by a man named Claudio he came over and introduced himself and he said if we need anything else to let him know. He said that he will make sure he applies a $ 50 gift certificate towards our bill. He said it’s Best to make sure that you make reservations ahead because it does get very busy. I inquired if they are on OpenTable he said they are working on it. He also gave us his card and said next time we come to let them know. Although we were not there for what seemed to be a very long time time is moving very slow but I really enjoy the quality time with the family. I decided to order the Macademia nut brownie with raspberry sauce. It sounded amazing! At the Unilocal function in lake grove my sister tried the espresso martini and really enjoyed it I personally do not like coffee or espresso so i told her to also have mine. We decided to order that drink for my dad. When the brownie came out our waiter John also supplied 4 spoons. I am glad he did because it was 2 huge brownie pieces along with ice cream fresh whipped cream and raspberry sauce. Everyone was indulging in it. It honestly would’ve been too much for one person. The ambience of Bonefish Grill was very modern. Our waiter made sure that we never had empty water glasses and always was attentive to us. They do offer valet parking because the municipal lot is very limited. We were fortunate at the time we came to get a spot no problem! I definitely want to return again soon and try other things on the menu!

I treated my family to dinner here after attending a YEE event at the Lake Grove location. My sister and I ordered several of the plates we tried from the Bar Bites menu(lobster tacos, shrimp tostadas, mac and cheese bites, Oysters Rockefeller). I made reservations to sit at a booth near the bar. Our server, Johnny, was so great, very attentive, polite, and worked hard to give us a great experience. First fresh bread with either butter or olive oil was set at our table. tThe bread was light and warm, and it did not sit heavy in my stomach which meant I had plenty of room to nibble. Our bar bites(aka appetizers) came out all at once. I still really love the lobster tacos, you can order them to the amount you need, and we ordered four. I also highly recommend the mac and cheese bites, the mango sauce they are in is so addictive. If you get the Oysters Rockefeller, put a dab of Cholula hot sauce on them, serious flavor trip to be had! I ordered the Spicy Tuna bowl, my mom ordered fish and chips, my dad ordered the Ahi Tuna steak, and my sister ordered the Lamb Lollipops. For the steak and lamb dishes they have plenty of sides to choose from. I tasted my sisters sweet potato side and it was so good. My Spicy Tuna bowl was huge! And tasty. Love the mix of spicy and sweet. The black and regular sesame seeds as a crust on the tuna sashimi was really clever and welcomed. I would definitely order this again. I had a bite of my mom’s fried fish and it was delicious. The fish had a creamy texture to it inside of the crunchy perhaps buttermilk batter outside. For drinks I first had the Moscow Mule which I had sampled at the YEE. My mom ordered their new Hawaiian martini and after taking a sip of hers I quickly ordered myself one. A wonderful mix of pineapple, grapefruit flavors. Beautiful pink color and just so good. I would come to happy hour just for that. And that may just happen! For dessert we ordered my dad the Espresso Martini, him and I are big espresso drinkers and he had fun with it. At the Lake Grove location they put crushed pistachios around the rim, at this location they put shaved chocolate, to which my dad happily nibbled on. My sister ordered the flourless macadamia brownie. The portion was ginormous! And the two brownies, with homemade whipped cream, ice cream, and macadamia nuts on the exterior were filling for all four of us! Since the brownie is flourless it is a bit different, I would describe it as a dense mousse. Different, but good. The manager Claudio came over to our table and chatted with us for a few minutes. He was friendly and calm. He listened to our feedback and gave us his business cards. Since we were sat by the bar which is close to the door, we noticed Bonefish starts passing hors d’oeuvres while people wait in line. What a wonderful thing to do, makes waiting for a table a lot more tolerable and gives you a good sampling on what to order. I definitely recommend making a reservation. They do have an outdoor seating area, which isn’t open yet since it is still cold here. They also have valet but there is metered parking at the municipal lot next door. Just be sure to read the signs and feed your meter for the allotted time. It’s a dressy casual restaurant. This location is not open for lunch(but the Lake Grove one is I believe). That may change in the future. All in all my family and I had a great evening out and I’m so glad my parents enjoyed it, my dad especially, he is a tough fish critic!

2nd time i go to this location. I have admit, i was very impressed with the level of service executed by the server. Walked in on a online reservation for 6:15pm. When i called the lication early on the day, i was told hey had no reservations space available. I went online and in 5 minutes i was able to secure a reservation. When i arrived i was seated right away. The server was gracious and he was knowledgeable of the menu and the specials. I order the mussels on coconut milk broth and i have to say they are amazing. For my main course i had the fontina chop. The chop was a bit well done, great depth of flavora with the roasted garlic and sherry. As a side i had the garlic mash and that really made my meal very heavy but it was delicious. I am glad to report that this location really delivers consistent service as far as food quality, presentation and consistency for service delivery.

Came here for Sunday brunch around 11am with my family. It was my first time here and had an overall okay experience. We wanted to do their«bottomless bubbly brunch» option which included one of their brunch entrées with bottomless mimosas or sangria. However, they don’t serve alcohol until 12pm and the server didn’t tell us that immediately so we were a little disappointed when it came time to order. Not a deal breaker though. I got the crème brûlée french toast. It was really good but an incredibly small portion — 3 french toast sticks(see photo). I cleaned my plate in a matter of minutes and I almost never do that. It was just so odd how small of a portion it was. 3⁄5 stars for that. My parents got the surf and turf eggs benedict and couldn’t stop raving about it. It had filet mignon and lobster. That dish was definitely 5⁄5. I tasted my brothers burger and it was delicious. However, the server never asked how he wanted it cooked — unusual. Regardless, it was perfectly made and huge. 4⁄5 stars for the burger. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the ambiance was just right. However, service was probably 3⁄5 as well and I’m torn on whether I’ll be back or not because the food was really good but my portion was just too small.
