HOLY WOW!
I am not writing this review to get a freebie (maybe i am), either way food was awesome! Shakes were awesome, staff was awesome!
My husband and i dropped by for a valentines day lunch, it was probably below 0, and the place itself was pretty damn cold, however the staff was doing everything they can to accommodate guests.
of course i HAD to get a shake (IT WAS SO COLD) I got the PB/​Cookies and Cream milkshake– the two mixed together was pure heaven. My hubby got vanilla, he said it was good, i dont like plain vanilla so i cant really judge. I ordered the cambridge burger and the hubby created his own. The meat was cooked to preference and the toppings complimented each other perfectly. One of the best burgers i had in a while.
I highly recommend. maybe not on the coldest day of the decade though…

I work in a doctor’s office in RVC. We’ve been looking for new places to order from and we came across Holy Cow. We’ve ordered lunch from Holy Cow two times so far. Their food is delicious! I chose to make my own burger with Monterey jack cheese, carmelized onions, a fried egg and their house sauce. OMG it was the best burger I’ve ever tasted in my life! I also tried their Apple Pie shake. Tastes EXACTLY like a slice of pie. We will be ordering from Holy Cow more often :)

My husband and I were looking to grab a late dinner. We were glad that they are open to 3 AM. We had to order from a shortened menu because we walked in @ 11:30 PM which we did not mind. We started off with wings and a cheese steak which were amazing. We also both ordered your own hand crafted burgers. We also shared a fryon which half French fries and half on onion rings. What also blew me away is that offer lactose free milk shakes (very important when you are lactose intolerant). They definitely have my business

Went here for lunch. Was surprised at the great prices on the lunch menu and was even more surprised at how great the burger was. Fries were perfect too! Will definitely be back.

The place is cozy and clean, but that’s the only positive thing I can say. Our waiter didn’t bring us our side order but charged us for it anyway, he left the restaurant after he took our order () so I guess it took a while for anybody to notice our burgers weren’t served. By the time we got them the fries were practically cold and the burger was warm at best.
We didn’t complain, we were hungry. I had the American burger w the fried egg on top and it was just alright, they totally skimped on the bacon it seems like they only broke up a few little pieces on top.
My boyfriend ordered the wagyu beef burger and it definitely wasn’t worth the money.
So after such a mediocre meal our original waiter finally comes back in and drops his pen in my plate,() says sorry, grabs the pen and keeps walking.
I wish I was making this up!
There’s so many other places to get a decent meal at a WAYYYYY better price that’s in a one block radius. Our meal was $ 54 dollars for 2 burgers (w a tiny side of fries that comes w the burgers) and 2 coronas.
We were robbed.

The restaurant was very clean and the staff was very friendly. However, I was not thrilled with my meal. I had the 1-​up shroom burger and added a beef patty as the Portobello is typically the main part of that burger (which is definitely unclear on the menu!!). I have to say that the flavor of the cheeses was delicious, but because they put the cheese on top of the arugula, it slid off the burger, pulling the arugula out with it. This left me with only the mushroom and patty inside the bun. I wound up having to eat the entire thing with a knife and fork. I must say that I did not care for the patty at all. It was not seasoned well and served overdone (I ordered medium and got well done). Plus, it was all flattened out. I wouldn’t typically be this bummed about a burger but after adding on the patty, my burger was close to $ 16 and it didn’t hold a candle to the comparable mushroom burger at Smashburger. I would not return here. 3 stars is a stretch.

I have been hearing a lot of hype about this place. Total disappointment!
I ate here on a Saturday around 1pm, the restaurant was at half capacity. I ordered the Kobe burger $ 16.95, which should be the best one on the menu given the better meat. My wife ordered the shroom burger and added beef because it is a veggie only burger, the menu is unclear about it though as our waitress pointed out.
My burger was cooked to temp at med/​rare. My wife’s burger was not, she asked for med and got well done. If they have a hard time cooking to temp with a half empty restaurant, I fear for them with a packed house. I thought at first that they did not season my burger with salt and pepper because the first ²⁄₃ was completely bland, but on the last ¹⁄₃ of the burger I tasted a ton of salt. The cook was careless when he seasoned the beef. The bacon was cut paper thin, I forgot it was there at all until I saw it. I couldn’t taste it at all. They should really be using thick cut bacon, otherwise don’t even bother. Lastly, the tomato wasn’t ripe, it was pale and hard. I know that it sounds like I’m nitpicking, but if they are going to charge a premium for these burgers then they should always be using quality ingredients. My wife did not like her burger either. She said that the taste was ok, but it was a total mess with a hockey puck in it. The burger completely fell apart.
I have no problem paying $$$ for quality food. I have a big problem spending $ 40 on lunch which includes two burgers with tip and leaving dissatisfied.
Also worth noting, the seats are way too close together. The milkshakes are served in very small mason jars and at $ 5.95 they aren’t worth it. I prefer all of the new chain burger places to this place.
I’ll end on a positive, the weekday lunch specials are good enough to make up for a lot of what I took issue with. At the lunch prices this place is worth a shot.

Excellent burgers and a good variety to choose from. We had the chipotle burger, bison burger, and the atomic burger. All three burgers were awesome, fantabulous, and extraordinary! Their shakes are absolutely amazing, and again a good selection. Fun place for children too… They can draw pictures and if it’s good enough will get hung on the wall!!!

I have been to a lot of a burger places but these burgers at holy cow are awesome especially the chipotle burger unbelievable can’t tell you how many times I’ve had it great flavor just a great time I’ll be back!!!

Holy cow is a welcoming and friendly establishment to grab a quick drink or bite when in Rockville centre. The staff is friendly and the place is clean and bright. Must stop when in rvc!

French fries were great, and unlike the new horrible trend you actually get a side of fries with your burger.
Juicy Lucy was delicious! Cooked properly, dressed properly… a really good burger.
They were very polite and fast, placed my order and was in and out in 12 minutes.
I will be back to try more. Wish there was a chicken sandwich, not a chicken patty.

Kale chicken Caesar was phenomenal and very flavorful. Great service and very friendly.

Husband and I dropped in early on new years eve for dinner and drinks. We were greeted by two very friendly and sincere employees. We ordered 2 beers for $ 9 and 2 glasses of wine for $ 6! The glasses of wine were very generous to put it mildly!
I ordered the chipotle bacon burger and it was so amazing! It was a bit spicier than I prefer but I had no problem finishing my dinner. Husband ordered the presidents burger and that burger just disappeared! Our food was brought out swiftly.
We didn’t know what to expect when we walked in but the burgers were amazing and for good prices at about $ 12 – 16. They have a wonderful variety of specialty burgers to choose from.
We plan to return to try more of their menu!

really great place and friendly helpful staff. First time my bf and I were here and we were excited to try the crab cakes, the holy cow burger and I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! I can’t even understand how this place wasn’t packed at lunch time but I was comfortable, happy and full! I had to take the rest of my food home because I was just too stuffed and of course my family eats it but they love it too! Now they want to come here and check out what else is on the menu! :) Thanks guys! We’ll be coming back soon!

Milkshake yum. Hamburger yum. And fries so fresh they fry them individually for you and than serve the fries in the fry dipper thing they were fried in. How wonderful. Love the buns too.
When i want a burger and milkshake and not breakfast type food with ice cream (for which i go to Internaltional Delight Café) i come here.

Pros:
Great lunch deal: 4.95 for a burger with fries (additional for toppings)
Cons:
Cramped space
Unbelievably slow service despite the lack of tables
Burger was just okay. Buns tasted stale. meat was overcooked to well-​done (I ordered medium)

I did not have a great experience ordering take out from this place. While they had my food ready in a timely manner, they did not fulfill our order accurately. We requested a side of sweet potato fries and unfortunately they gave us plain.
While this was an annoyance because we did not get what we ordered and we had to reach out to Eat24 to compensate us for the additional cost of the sweet potato fries (they cost extra), I would have rated this place higher if the food was cooked better.
Mine and my husband’s Atomic burger and Lamb burger were very overcooked, almost to the consistency of a hard school cafeteria burger. We both requested the burgers to be cooked medium, but they turned out to be WELL DONE. No pink at all, with dark crisp edges, and very dry.
For the prices we paid ($ 13-​$ 15 per burger) we expected more and we were very disappointed with what we got. We eaten at other burger places with the same price range and got much superior burgers.

I work in RVC so when we ordered burgers I was shocked at how delicious and still hot my burger was.
The roll was so fresh it tasted like a bakery roll and the burger was well done like I asked for. We brought in a few times and the food was consistently great!

I went here for lunch with my coworkers. The place was small but we found a seat. The seats are up high like bar stools. All of us order the Burger & Fries lunch $ 4.95. The burgers were very good as were the fries, even though there was only a small amount. Besides the limited seating a good experience.
