food was ok, staff was not attentive, received wrong drink orders, things ordered from apps were forgotten about totally. funny thing was it wasn’t even busy for them to use that as an excuse. next time I’ll go with better options for hibachi.

The food was good, but my experience was ruined when the chef decided it would be a good idea to squirt me in the face with the toy that shoots water out of its penis. Beside the fact that it was extremely disrespectful, it went right into my eyes. I don’t need to pay to be treated like that.

Favorite Japanese restaurant! The inside is classy and pretty with white interior and blue lights. Great for large groups or parties. Delicious sushi, hibachi and drinks. My favorite drink is the scorpions bowl, which is big enough to share!

Great time and good food! Came here with my fiancé and step daughter for her birthday and enjoyed it. Made a reservation and was seated immediately, fast service, and a great show. Giving 4 stars because my salmon and shrimp were delicious but slightly overcooked. Fiancé had the chicken and shrimp and ate every morsel. Step daughter got the steak and shrimp combo and she ate until she almost burst. She said it was so good she couldn’t stop eating. Came here because my last few experiences with Lumix down the street were subpar(long wait even with reservation and unfriendly attitude). I love the atmosphere here and the fact that they have way more hibachi tables. Will be back!

Back in April I came here with a big group of people to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. They were very accommodating for last minute reservations. We did the Hibachi Station. Our chef was amazing. He had us laughing almost the whole time. The food was delicious. We had to order to take home! The place itself was very stylish and classy. The wait staff was very attentive. Glad we came here, my boyfriend loved it.

First off this restaurant is so cute and trendy for rvc. Food was good. I got the Pineapple Fried Rice and Avocado Roll. Friends got the Angry Dragon roll and Chicken Teriyaki, they loved it. Definitely fulfilling meal. Drinks are great too!

My husband and I found this place on Google. We weren’t looking for a hibachi place but definitely sushi. Overall prices were a little bit high but the food quality was up to par!

Decided to come here for happy hour after reading all the great reviews, but unfortunately there were no open seats at the bar. My friend and I got a table instead since we were pretty hungry. Choosing to stay here ended up being a great decision because we had some of the best sushi we had in a while. There’s a parking lot right in the back, but it’s for a few other restaurants too, so finding a spot can be a bit tricky. Keep in mind that they do have the option for valet. The ambiance of this place is great; it’s very modern and has a sophisticated feel. You can either sit by the bar, hibachi area, or at a regular table. I ordered the Strawberry Champagne, which was made up of vodka, strawberry schnapps, strawberry purée, lychee purée, and champagne. It was fairly strong and the strawberry taste wasn’t too overpowering; it was just right. For sushi, I ordered three different rolls: Spicy Tuna, Shrimp Avocado, and Spicy Crab. The sushi was delicious and tasted very fresh. I’ll definitely be coming here again to check out their hibachi and the DJ that they on some nights.

OMG why aren’t you here right now with me eating this amazing food? I had the short rib appetizer and my taste buds were singing. Like I’m in a food coma from that the dragon roll and shrimp fried rice. Please come here and have the short rib.

YES. An excellent experience all the way around. The food is wonderful. The hibachi is consistently entertaining; the dining room is markedly quieter and has equally wonderful food. Having had a terrible experience recently at a big-name hibachi place(hint: Rocky Aoki’s joint), I will never take Kashi for granted!

The atmosphere of this place is amazing and lively. I decided to do hibachi and the chef was incredibly entertaining and have a humorous personality. Granted, I have seen most of the hibachi tricks, it was still an enjoyable experience. The food was also a big reason why I liked coming here. It was a good portion for what I ordered and it was not overcooked in any way. I would definitely recommend this place.

The food here is very good. From what I understand the suishi was good. I usually have chicken teryaki in these type of restaurants. It is a little pricey.

hottest scene on a sat night! The parking is the only downside bc it does get crazy in RVC on weekends. We were served right away with water and menus. They came back to check on us and asked us if they needed to explain any of the food options to us. I have also been here for lunch which is SUPERFAIRLYPRICED. Fresh food, clean and great service!

Our evening in this place, was absolute great, great ambience, great and friendly and hip looking service. It was well worth the price(which was reasonable) .After a short visit to their beautifyl bar, we were seated pleasantly/promptly at a table in the middle of the restaurant, as requested, we enjoyed the food, service and the vibe of the place and will definitely be back again.

I came here on Saturday night and thought the food was excellent. We sat on the restaurant side, not the hibachi side. The parking lot was small. And it was really difficult to find street parking in the area. The food was good though. I’m still thinking about their fried Oreos!

I love their hibachi! I usually order the filet and lobster hibachi with the fried rice! So good! And there rock shrimp appetizer is so addicting Drinks are good too. Service can be slow . Last time we went during the week and they didn’t have valet parking and it took us over 30 minutes to find parking in the rain. — next time I’ll give myself extra time and remember they only have valet parking on the weekends!

Great Asian Fusion restaurant which allows one to decide if they would like Hibachi style dinning or table booth setting. The atmosphere was very trendy. The setting could make for a romantic evening or a family celebration. There is plenty of seating so don’t worry. They offer happy hour Monday thru Friday. Nothing like discounted Saki and Sushi. The rolls are amazing try at least three, seriously! The customer service was good and food even better!

This review is for Hibachi. Came with a party of nine on a Saturday night so naturally it was pretty crowded(they take reservations, just make sure your entire party is there). There is a bar/lounge area while you wait. Once seated, they will take your drink orders and eventually come around again to take your entrée order(entrée + rice(fried/brown)). I ordered the angus steak medium rare and it was just right! The chef was great. Very entertaining performance and engaging. There is a sauce bottle filled with sake that he offered around about three times the entire night(its fun, trust me). The service here was friendly and given the high demand they did a decent job in terms of speed. Parking may be a bit of a hassle once meters go out of effect after 6PM but there is always a valet service.

Ok, so I got another allergic reaction here(it must be the mango martinis), but I still enjoyed my birthday dinner at Kashi! I haven’t done hibachi in a long time, so I figured I’d take a chance and make a reservation for the hibachi section. It was hard locating the restaurant at first and we actually drove by it, so look out for a building with blacked out windows that say Kashi in small letters. You drive around to a parking lot in the back(free parking Sundays and holidays, metered until 6pm the other days), and that’s where you see the huge Kashi sign. I’ve never been to a Kashi location before, so I was impressed with how beautiful it is inside. They have a bar area with lounge seating and tables to the left, a sushi bar and additional table seating in the back, and the hibachi section is to the right. Our waitress was very quick and our drinks came fast. In fact, the whole tone of our meal felt a little bit too rushed. Our soup and salads came out within 5 minutes of ordering, fine. Then our apps came out less than five minutes after getting our soup and salads. Our hibachi chef came and did his whole routine, squirting sake in your mouth and all that. Our meal was over in less than an hour! I get that they were interested in fast turnover, but I wanted to stay and enjoy our drinks and really taste the food, and I felt awkward doing that cuz our table cleared out so fast. Veggie Pot stickers — Great, nothing out of the ordinary. Rock shrimp tempura — not a fan of the sauce, spicy kick to it. Fried rice — Delicious! Filet and chicken hibachi combo — Filet was amazing. I could have skipped the chicken as the steak was filling enough. Seafood combo with scallops, lobster, and shrimp — by bf ate the whole thing so I’m guessing good? I’m not a fan of scallops and lobster so I didn’t try them. Mango martinis — literally deadly for me as I broke out in a rash all over, but they were delicious and strong. Sangria — skip it. For 2 beers, 3 cocktails, 2 hibachi combos and 2 apps, it was a little under $ 130. Not bad, I’ll be back!

I came here again for my friend Lauras birthday and ITWASTHEMOSTINCREDIBLEEXPERIENCE I EVERHAD at a sushi place. Our cook named Kevin was absolutely incredible. He was so entertaining and so funny. He made us smile the whole night and made the night a night to remember. He was absolutely the best employee I have ever encountered and I give him kudos for making my friends bday memorable. The dj that night of December 5,2015 was incredible as well. He played throwbacks, current songs and everything you can think of. Kashi made my friends birthday incredible. Thanks so much

Excellent atmosphere be it for a lunch, happy hour, or dinner. The staff is friendly and approachable. The hibachi dinners are fabulous, from watching the chefs entertain, to the time you’re indulging in their tasty cuisine. The sushi/maki was always pretty fresh when I’ve been here. Save room for dessert, this place has Fried Oreos! The bar is a great place to unwind after work, or at night whether friends are visiting or to just go out for the evening. The location is very easy to get to as well.

This place is all about the ambiance. It’s very modern and clean. The food was good, but definitely over priced. I like the fact that you can choose to sit at a regular table or a hibachi table. So if you’re looking to impress someone take them here for the«look», but if you really are looking for the best sushi around go to Harusaki down the block.

I came to Kashi last friday with a party of 5. We wanted a change from the usual Benihana hibachi scene. We had reservations at the Hibachi grill at 7:30 and were seated promptly. Parking is kind of hard to find so I would do valet parking. The thing that stood out to me about this place was its décor – it had a very lively, modern vibe while staying true to the culinary art of hibachi. I also like that it is in Rockville Centre, as there are many dessert places to visit afterward. The prices are much cheaper than the prices at Benihana. Chicken is only $ 17 and the filet mignon + chicken combo was only around $ 25. Adding fried rice/noodles cost $ 3 extra. They have various other combos as well, with choices such as angus steak, salmon, and shrimp, making this a good place for vegetarians. One of my friends was not partaking in the hibachi so she ordered sushi, and they still let her sit at the grill, which I thought was nice. I ordered the filet mignon and chicken combo. The meal started off with salad and miso mushroom soup which were both pretty good. We then got the sauces, fried rice, veggies, and meat all in that order. Everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection. I don’t have any complaints about the food. Benihana does tend to make their food spicier if you ask, but I’m not sure if I had that option. The chef was playful with our party and very kind as well. If you want a change from Benihana, check this place out.

Environment: Midnight Blue. Exotic and modern décor. Attire: I would advise the ladies to keep it semi-formal. Later in the night, Kasha turns into a nightclub/lounge vibe. Shrimp Tempura: Good. It’s quite difficult to mess up a shrimp tempura roll. Spicy Crab: Yummy. My date had to tell me «It’s okay if I eat all of it,» knowing darn well I ate 5 out of 6. Salmon Skin: Weak. It fell apart as my chopsticks touched it. Really? I thought it was an urban legend that rolls can fall apart. No five stars for you! Funny Story: A drunk elderly guy waited till my date went to the bathroom to approach me. He was informed me I should not leave my wallet(which was in my purse) at the bar. My date knew beforehand he was going to do this and grabbed my waist and came to my rescue! Brownie Points +4. WARNING: Parking lot will be packed in the night, wait a few minutes till you look for another lot. Will I come here again?: Yes, this is a perfect place for a intimate date(with your boo, or potential mate), or a girl’s night out.
