Clutterbusters

Let me start by saying my tiny room was an absolute DISASTER before Kim from Clutterbusters arrived yesterday. I had been trying to get it organized for the past YEAR AND A HALF and just couldn’t get it right. I was convinced I just had too much stuff to fit, however Kim worked her magic and fit everything into my closet and dresser without my having to throw away anything (that will be my next project though).
I used a Living Social deal for $ 99 for two hours of services. I didn’t have much time to clean up beforehand, so I didn’t expect my time with Kim to be very productive… not the case! Kim helped me to see how I could rearrange my furniture to better utilize the space and then helped me to move some of the smaller pieces. She helped me to start organizing a little, which motivated me to continue organizing after she left… I was able to complete 99.9% of a project which had taken me over a year, in just one day! She also gave me some suggestions for some organizational items I could purchase to better utilize the space I have.
I wish I could give Kim from Clutterbusters more than five stars because she relieved me of so much stress in just two hours!

Undiagnosed Lupus disease took it’s toll on me and my house. Am finally under a doctors care and Clutterbusters helped me regain control of my life. Not going to lie, the house was a wreck. I was apprehensive and had much anxiety about letting anyone see the disaster inside. Clutterbusters made me feel comfortable were respectful, and sent a fantastic team to tackle it. FAST, efficient, and got house done.
One note: Clutterbusters gets the piles of stuff tamed for you. But you will need to hire a separate cleaning company to tackle the rest (i.e., vacuum, clean counters/​bathrooms/​kitchen surfaces).

My first visit with Clutterbusters didn’t go as well as I planned but when I let the owner Betsy know about my disappointment, she offered to send someone else out for a few hours free to make up for the hours I paid for.
My second visit went much better and the organizer, Joanna, was great!
She was ready to get right into the bain of my existence, my paper clutter.
I had already had them contained in boxes but really needed help going through them and getting rid of things without getting overwhelmed or spending too much time reading things and reminiscing.
She was very good and helped me with identifying documents that were old enough to shred and things that didn’t have enough personal information on them to worry about throwing out in normal trash.
I definitely had an excellent visit with Joanna and would love to call on her again for another «spring» de-​cluttering again in the future.

My closet was an absolute mess. I finally gave in when I saw a Groupon advertising a 2 hour organizing session at half off. I really wanted to take advantage of the 2 hours so I did prepare in advance. I pulled everything out of my closet before the organizer showed up. I also either threw out or donated my old clothes prior to the visit.
The end result turned out great! My closet is super organized and it’s been a few months and I have not gone back to my old ways. The organizer showed me how to hang my clothes properly and told me which kind of hanger I needed for which clothing type. She also organized my closet with like items and put the shirts in order from shortest sleeve to longest sleeve length. I would have never thought to do that. She also showed me a new way to organize my jeans and pants. She made great use of my space and everything is really easy to find. I spent days showing off my closet to friends. It’s so nice to have a clutter free closet that is actually useable!
While I did thoroughly enjoy the service the one downside is that I did feel a bit judged. I actually cleaned up A LOT ahead of time and there was little bit of «tsk tsk’ing». I can only imagine what it would have been like if I didn’t make some improvements ahead of time. But overalll, it was an enjoyable experience and I am very happy with the results!
