Tasted amazing! Would definitely order from here again. The steak and cheese hot sub comes with steak, provolone cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. Added mayo and onions were free. Delivery took an hour from Rockville to Silver Spring, but it was worth it.

Subs are delicious! Everything is made perfectly. They are quick and it’s easy to order using their website.

I usually order delivery from Mike & Sons. If you’re from slash spent time in Philly like me, you’ll like this place. One has to tell them how to make a sandwich(i.e. baguette, meat and cheese) and they do it pretty well.

Two places where I find decent stake and cheese subs. Mike’s and Chicken Basket. I prefer chicken basket because their subs are 10″. Good value for money

It’s an okay place to go eat at if you’re close by, but if you can get to a Jersey Mikes I’d recommend you go there instead. Also don’t order delivery. They always forget something and trying to get them to fix it can be problematic. Place seemed to go down once operators changed.

My salty, greasy(in the best possible way), steak and cheese sub was delivered faster than the estimate, still hot and gooey, and exactly the way I’d requested. A very generous portion of fries needed a little more salt, but were crispy and delicious. What more could you want for a fast, inexpensive dinner?

I really like this place. I’ve ordered twice and both times they’ve delivered quickly and the food has been good. I’ve only tried their sandwiches so I’m thinking next time I’ll give their pizza a try.

I really like the proximity of Mikes to my work: it is right across the street so that makes it great. I just love love love the park avenue sandwich: croissant roll with chicken salad avocado and bacon. They have a large variety of sodas so us Pepsi people can get fix while the Coke People get theirs. It is primarily take out. But ordering ahead is challenging because the ladies who run it have a hard time with phone orders… English is not their first language. But in person I have never had a problem. My friends say the burgers are good. For a take out sandwich place this is a place where you know what you like, it’s comes out the same every time and they are pretty efficient at getting it out to you.

Above and beyond. Called at 8:59pm(1 minute before closing) — and they took a delivery order, no problem! They were super friendly on the phone. Delivery prompt. Great service!

Great breakfast & lunch food! I’ve tried the egg & cheese bagel with turkey bacon for breakfast. I also have had the steak and cheese a few times which is sooo delicious. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I ordered here about 3 times within one month because the first time was so delicious I had to come back, the only problem with this place is they close to early which sets me up to order from the other nearby places that are not any good when it comes to steak and cheese combos. This place and Chicken basket for me personally are the two best places to order steak and cheese combos from. I lived here in this area for more than 10 years, I am always in 7-Eleven but never decided to go next door and try there food, there basically in the cut they definitely need some bigger signs with bright lights so they can let people know that they exist, trust me once you let people know that you’re there and they come and start eating there the word will definitely pass around that your food is good and that your team is pretty cool, thank you for that.

Food took a little bit to get here when we ordered it for lunch, but nothing crazy. Overall great food. I got the steak and cheese of course and it was delicious. I got onion rings and they were great too, and tons of them too! EDIT1⁄12: I have to give a little update and bring Mike and Sons down from four to two stars. I really want to bring them down lower but you can’t judge a restaurant based on one employee! The reason I changed my review is because of one of the delivery driver’s. I usually get the same person every time I order, and I always have the same problem. When I place my order online, I give instructions to the driver to call my name in the call box on our door so I can buzz him into our place. But for whatever reason, we have to do this thing where he calls me, and I tell him to hang up and call me on the call box so I can buzz them in(I’m lazy I know, but whatevs) and he always tells me he didn’t know and blah blah blah. Well anyway, I recently changed my phone number because I just moved here and for whatever reason when I placed the order one day my old phone number was listed on the order. The driver wasn’t able to call my cellphone so I could tell him to hang up and call me on the callbox. HEWASPISSEEEEEDDDD and decided to let me know how he felt about it. Of course I always usually tip semi-generously and I had already tipped electronically so there was really no taking that back, and of course he was about 30 minutes later than I was told(but that is the norm for this place, they are definitely not speedy). So anyway, I order again a few weeks later(because I am obsessed with their wings. Side note: I’m from Buffalo and their wings are on POINTTTT) and I decided to not do an electronic tip in case it was the same d-bag that delivers to me every time. Well it was, and he got there in a timely manner and was being semi nice so I was going to tip him in cash. But then before I even get the chance to give this dude a tip, he decides to POINTOUT that I didn’t tip him. Bye Felicia. There goes your tip dude. Anyway, long story short; Great food, not so great service. Expect long delays and idiot delivery drivers.

Went back to Mike and Sons and the owner was as nice as ever, but they got our order for pick-up wrong. I asked for the lettuce and tomato on the side for BP’s, but they were put in the sandwich making it pretty large(overstuffed) and soggy by the time he ate it. The meat was savory(we had one chicken and one steak), but that’s because of all the salt in the meat. The texture and appearance of the meat was good, though, no complaints there. I also remembered to ask for no grilled onions on my sandwich(from last time) and glad this was not overlooked. I thought that the sandwiches could have used more cheese, as well.

I’ve had delivery from here a couple of times and the meal always arrives fresh and as I ordered. I typically get hot subs and onion rings, drinks and chips. I do wish they had better dessert options as I’m not a fan of the ones they currently have(and the brownies always arrive cold) but overall they have quick delivery, good food and good prices. Can’t beat it.

The reviews and photos fooled me!!! I was completely bamboozled!!! I arrived this afternoon, after spending 45 mins on the road in traffic and wanted to immediately turn around. The Resturant was filled will smoke from their grill and filthy. The place looked like a dump from the outside and inside. I should have turned around when I had the chance. I knew something was off when there were discrepancy with their posted prices. The price for the cheese steak special was posted differently in two separate places. It was a very small difference in price but noticeable enough for me to question it. Next, my order: I asked for everything and added green peppers. When the register displayed nearly $ 20. For two subs, a side of fries and a small drink, I asked for an explanation. I was told the green peppers were an extra $.99 more per sandwich. The service: decent, but nothing to write home about. The wait: I was surprised to see many people coming in for their usuals. This was a good sign, I thought. Aside from the deplorable condition of the wall(covered with slashed food and the number 69 carved in the wall), I was eager to hear what all the fuss was about. The food: disgusting! Nasty! Horrific!!! Not good enough for a dog in the street!!! The sandwiches had more onion and toppings than steak! The food may have met the standards of many, but I would never dine at this spot again. My son and I took one bite and wanted to throw our sandwiches in the trash. It’s been 4 hours and the taste of the onions are still in my mouth. Of all the times I wish I had photographic evidence, this would be the perfect situation. I am sooooo sorry I don’t have the images to back me up. To the folks at this place: Thanks for nothing, or should I say, thanks for the onion sandwich.

Mike & Sons Sub Shop is a small little eatery that is located adjacent to 7-Eleven. They offer breakfast sandwiches, subs(hot and cold), pizza, sandwiches(ham & cheese, tuna fish salad, grilled chicken, Reuben, etc.), salads, gyros, and even a kid-friendly option(chicken nuggets). I’ve heard a lot about their Steak & Cheese, so I stopped by to get one to-go. The subs come with your choice of mayo, onion, lettuce, tomato, and hot peppers — only one size is available, and I had mine with just the cheese and the mayo. The hot sub itself was just okay, and the steak was finely-chopped; it was more on the sweeter end, and the mayo was almost non-existent. The cheese was definitely on the scarce end as well, and the bread itself(that is also more on the sweeter side) was soft, but definitely became soggy extremely fast(just a note: it tasted much better cold the day after(yes, I am that kind of person)). There are some limited seating inside, but many locals seem to come in for carry-out orders. The employees were definitely friendly. I’m glad I was able to check this place out, but not sure if I’d go back! +friendly staff +limited parking +located adjacent to 7-Eleven

Smallest sandwich I’ve ever had. Not worth $ 6. It’s like a Reuben slider. It wasn’t even very good — super greasy and the corned beef was dry. Lucky for me, I also ordered a meatball sub, but it was also small, on soggy bread, with tiny(probably frozen, store bought) meatballs.

Greasy? Yep. Smoke covered like some Mickey Spillane detective novel? Check. Beer? Got it. Great sammiches? Check. Comfort food like this used to be all over Philly… But in Rockville? You gotta come to this place. Steaks, Hoagies, O-rings, basket o’fried shrimp, fried cheese. Mike and sons got it all! And once you’ve got your Hoagie, don’t forget dessert: a big assed blue bubble gum ball to turn your entire mouth blue, make you look like someone from a 1930’s Boris Karloff movie.

The big banner sign outside«Steak N Cheese» really attracted me to give this place a shot as I am always craving for Steak and cheese and go to different places to try it, Another sign behind cash register took my attention to get it as combo deal $ 8.85 + tax! Well the fountain machine didnt have ice cubs so you have to ask the guy behind to give you more ice as you need it… In meantime I was waiting for my food to be ready I asked the manager/owner where is the bathroom I can wash my hands before I start eating my food he responded the bathroom is out of order! Wow I have never been at a seat down restaurant that customers would not be able to use the bathroom hope they have taken care of it already! WhileI was waitingI noticed more people ordering cheese steak there thats a good sign that most people like their cheese steak. So finally after 15 min waiting during busy lunch time my food was ready the fries were awesome but there was no more than 16 individual pieces with my order and the cheese steak sub seemed like 7″ not quiet 8″ long! The sub was really tasty fresh, hot and very delicious I will come back again in case if I am in the area again! I will want to try their Gyros and see how it tastes like!

I never thought much of this place driving by, but it’s definitely a hidden gem. You barely notice it in the corner, next to 7 – 11, but inside are some of the best subs around. I love their steak and cheese subs. It’s very chopped, and almost crumbly, but in the perfect way. The bread is toasted by still chewy, and they add just the right amount of toppings. At first glacé, I thought there weren’t enough toppings, but there were; I think they just get hidden. They have a broad range of menu options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I’ve only gone for lunch, but you can choose from subs, sandwiches, pizza, gyros, etc. Definitely worth a try!
