Excellent service, top quality food, will definitely be back… The spicy pork is delicious as is the Bulgogi!!!

Great experience! The best! The atmosphere is peaceful, the service is 2nd to none, and the food is top shelf. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

I came to check out what the restaurant was like, and ended up waiting 10 mins for someone to come out and seat me/take my order/greet me/etc. I just left at that point. Where is everyone?

3 of us decided to try this restaurant on a out of the blue and we were absolutely impressed and can not wait to go back. The mussels were unbelievably great. Since we were new at this style of food, the waiter was recommending dishes and we shared several. Everything came out hot and quickly. My favorite was a beef dish, rolled up like a burrito, breaded, lightly fried, sliced and served with 3 sauces.

Decent $ 10 lunch special. Includes your choice of: –appetizer(dumpling, takoyaki, spicy caviar mussel, edamame, seaweed salad) –katsu(pork, spicy pork, chicken, flounder, shrimp, potato shrimp) –salad –miso soup –rice Overall, not too shabby for $ 10. Nothing blew me away, but you definitely get your money’s worth. Everything was adequately flavored, especially the takoyaki and spicy caviar mussels. **$ 1 extra for spicy caviar mussels free 2 hr parking(w validation)

Got here around lunchtime on a Saturday, and it was a pretty slow time at the restaurant. The waitress was very friendly, and my water glass was never empty. I ordered for veggie ramen and it was pretty good and had a nice flavor profile. The only thing I would improve is the consistency of the noodles, they were over-done and lacked the nice bite you expect from your ramen noodles. I also tried the shrimp dumplings. They had a nice flavor but were a bit watery as if they were maybe boiled? I probably wouldn’t order those again.

Since my first visit, they instituted a policy of 10% discount on lunch, and also set up a nice lunch special deal — a katsu, a side dish, a bowl of miso soup, and a small salad, all for $ 10, which is a good deal. I’d considered the place as overpriced, but these new things help remedy this.

I was super excited to try this new Asian fusion restaurant for lunch, however I was pretty disappointed with our experience. For having been open for a month and a half, my expectations were higher. I should mention that I’ve been in the restaurant industry for over 10 years, so my critique may be more harsh than others. I try to be an honest as possible and give credit where it’s due. We were seated, but the menu was not really explained, we weren’t informed about the concept or greeted with enthusiasm. Our server was great, but could have been a tad more attentive. I should also mention the table behind us remained dirty and not bussed the entire time we were there. Upon us leaving, the fire alarms went off due to testing. I felt bad for the other patrons. We should have been informed when when we sat down. The bartender/bar manager tried to jump in, but only made things worse as he couldn’t even tell us what the specialty drinks were when asked about the $ 6 drink specials. I’m sorry what? He said he would find out and never came back. He wasn’t professional in my opinion and didn’t act like a manager. Our server gave us a list of(but no menus since they were not printed). Again, there was no knowledge of what exactly was in each drink. What is totally baffling is that either of them should have been able to suggest 1 or 2 drinks off the top of their head after being open for awhile. I thought it was their first week! A total fail in that area. The cocktails did turn out to be delicious, but it took about 10−15min because he kept running to the kitchen. Seems as if ingredients were not completely prepared. They have 2 lunch combos, which sounded awesome. $ 10 for miso soup, salad and your choice of katsu or $ 14.99 for choice of katsu and ramen bowl, which we opted for. We also ordered the shrimp dumplings. Good, but definitely not enough shrimp. Overall, the food wasn’t bad, although it was lacking some flavor. The katsu was by far the best. After our meal, we got the check. There was additional charge for beef katsu that we were not informed about. Our server was nice enough to remove it. Upon leaving I ran into the owner and spoke to him. He was grateful for my suggestions and feedback. I really hope this place makes it! It’s such a perfect location. Unfortunately, no outdoor seating, but beautiful décor. I love the booths. Maybe we will come back in a couple months for a better experience.

So the ratings kinda made me worried when we decided to get together for lunch. BUT I was confident in the fact it could be similar to the one in Annandale. Weird, but it was actually better to me. Well, I did NOT have the katsu or anything like that, but I did have the Ramen at both locations. For me, Rockville was better on this front. I enjoyed the seafood Ramen and my friend had the same thing. My other friend decided on veggie ramen *(With veggie broth) she’s on this whole I am not eating meat or dairy thing. She said the broth was still very complex and the noodles, while slightly overcooked, was still delicious. I agreed, the noodles could have been a little more al dente, but whatever, still solid and flavorful. The service here is really nice. Not overbearing and just enough interaction to make you feel taken care of but not hovered over.

Was about to rate it a 3, but then I remembered that the price point was excellent. And the ramen was good, ESPECIALLY for the price point. I have been to fusion twice, both times at lunch. It was never crowded, and I personally liked the fact that the booths have power so I can work and eat. The ramen was very flavorful and excellent portion size for lunch. My gripes — I’d like to see more protein, the addition of corn w/o it being a la carte, and I’ve been to ramen houses where silky butter is offered. Here it is not offered nor recommended. The service was fair. I wouldn’t say it was bad, just not terribly attentive. I normally drink a lot of water with meals, but especially with ramen. They need to stop by more that once other than to take the order and drop off the check. IMTHIRSTY! I’d return. The flavor of the meal, the portion size and the price($ 16 out the door) was spot on. Fix that service and I’ll be in every damn week.

A girlfriend and I decided to check this place out for lunch yesterday after hearing so many good reviews about it. I must say, I was very impressed with each dish that we ordered. We started off with the spicy caviar mussels, which were delicious– good enough to make a whole meal out of((if ordered enough) ate too quick to take pictures). We also decided to try the skewer appetizers, and it was surprisingly a lot more food than expected for the price. The entrée I chose was the spicy pork katsu — it came out perfectly breaded, not too heavy and oily like some other places I’ve had. The portion is just enough to fill you up and doesn’t leave you with that nasty, glutinous feeling, and my friend ordered the shrimp wrapped in potato which I took few bites of, paired really well with their spicy mayo sauce. I would recommend this place for anyone who is looking to enjoy good food and try something new. I will definitely be back to try their ramen, 5 stars from me!

Hrmmm. trying something new in RTC today, menu looked enticing. but having been told they’ve run out of both bulgogi and spicy pork belly mid-evening is a bit concerning. I ordered… well, essentially it’s a cordon bleu(they have a Japanese name overlay, cute). As well as a lychee soju Tini. My friend ordered fried dumplings and chicken katsu. About 30minutes of waiting for my drink. we find out that, guess what? Yup… they ran out of the soju drink. yup. but if I wait another 15min. Drinks are half off… opted out. Also was told the spicy pork belly came in, he cancelled the line up and my food was out soon. Food is about airplane quality, but airplane food is better. The spicy pork belly«bowl» was served on a plate with snow peas, carrots, and cauliflower along with two scoops of rice. The only thing spicy about it was the onions and the amount of sodium in the food. They have a confusing«fusion» theme… nori on the rice didn’t match the plate flavor, the steamed veggies were random. and the onion teriyaki«spicy» sauce didn’t work. I’m more confused than I am enjoying this. The pork belly is tender despite this. The cordon bleu wasn’t at all special, the flavor is bland and if you pair it with either of the spicy Mayo or sesame bulldog sauces… the flavor is easily overpowered. The chicken katsu was mediocre and over salted, while the fried dumplings were. something one could easily make at home. The servers are kind and very responsive with what they’re dealing with. but the bar tender was sitting with female patrons. walking outside, not attending the bar(saw him doing so when we walked in…). If you dine here, make sure to ask for PR, he’s incredibly genuine and will get your situation figured out. The apology was that they’ve been open for a month and a half but are still getting settled. If you check in, you’ll get 10% off your order. definitely a good option considering the price point for the quality of the food. For the two of us. it came out to around $ 43 ish. I won’t be back for a bit, but hopefully when I do in a couple of months, the situation will be a lot better. I hope in the future I’ll be able to sit down and not wait 30min. In order to be told that 90% of my order has ran out…

My friend and I went on a Saturday for dinner, I’m a fan of miso in Annandale, so I knew it was going to be delicious. I was actually very surprised how much I enjoyed this Miso in Rockville, it’s actually better than the one in Annandale. We ended up ordering so much food because we couldn’t just choose one. Without regret, we enjoyed every last bite. The kimchi&bacon donkatsu roll is something everybody should try! The combination of the spice and crispy pork is a flavor twist that is worth exploring. Last note: I’m not a fan of sweet or «girly» cocktails. Give me Jameson on the rocks and I’m happy, but these cocktails are seriously the truth. Mango Sticky Rice… You will end up having one too many…

When I came for the soft opening couple of weeks ago, it took good 30minuets for my food to come out and when my food came out it was just warm, not hot. The service wasn’t even great. I could tell they were still in training and wasn’t able to answer my questions. I wasn’t satisfied at all. Since it was just a soft opening when I fist went, I thought I’ll give it another try for dinner tonight. I ordered spicy pork katsu and tonkotsu bulgogi ramen. First of all, my food came out with in 10minute. Second, the katsu was really fresh and crispy and the ramen was still hot and it was very delicious. Also I could see that the severs has margin to catch hellos and good byes and take care of my table all at same time; also they had answer to all of my question. I felt so much better. If you had a bad experience here couple of weeks ago, I suggest you to give them another try. They deserve it.

I was pleasantly surprised by the ramen, I didn’t have high expectations but it was very enjoyable. Unfortunately, at the time they said they were sold out of bulgogi– which is disappointing, but I ordered the pork ramen dish with egg. The ramen itself had nice texture and a very nice bite. The broth was amazing. I was expecting a lot of saltiness but there was no trace of salt in the broth. I was very impressed with the clean refreshing taste. I look forward to coming back with friends who love a great ramen place so close by.

I had high hopes as this place replaced what I thought was a great bahn mi place. First we called our order in for dinner and they didn’t have ramen. That is the biggest section of the menu and at 6pm you are saying it will be an hour before ramen is ready? Then they didn’t have three of the cheese rolls out of I think the five they make. So my husband got chicken katsu and I got the bulgogi mixed rice bowl. The bulgogi was barely there mostly mushrooms and a ton of salad with barely any meat or rice. I was hungry again an hour after the meal and the prices are too high for that. When my husband got there he asked for a bubble tea to which the guy asked if he was looking at the lunch menu. My husband pulled up the website right there in the restaurant and the guy said we only serve the dinner menu all day never the lunch. First there is only one menu on the site and second why do you have a menu called lunch if you don’t serve it? The reason for two stars instead of one was the food smelled good and the small amount of meat and rice I got to taste was good but very lackluster.

This place is wonderful! Great ambiance, great ramen, and I tried 3 kinds of the katsu and they were all delicious! And the price is good for the amount of food. Presentation is pretty and staff is attentive… What more could you want?!?

This was actually our first time going to miso fusion café and I have to say our server, Sarah, was a 5 star waitress(do ask for her when you come here, you won’t regret it). We were really pleased with the attention she gave us. The food, was overall pretty good, ESPECIALLY the takoyaki,; I’ve had my share of takoyaki and his one was far the closest to authentic Japanese takoyaki I’ve ever had. For dessert, try the cheesecake with the mango mochi ball, it’s fresh and yummy. Price vs food quantity though… Need to be adjusted a bit. That said, thanks again Sarah! And we will be back ;)

Honestly, I had high expectations for Miso since I enjoy going to the one in Annandale, VA. Decided to give it a try on a Friday afternoon for lunch with friends. Located within Rockville Town Center, you can either find street parking or park inside the garage(you can get your parking ticket validated). Friends ordered the pork Hawaiian specialty katsu($ 13; comes with sauce and asian coleslaw) and the tonkatsu pork ramen($ 12). I ordered the Kimchi udon($ 11). All of our meals came with a mini salad. The food was just… okay. The Pork Hawaiian katsu wasn’t crispy at all, cheese wasn’t even melting. Ramen noodles tasted average. Kimchi udon was very plain with a lot of mushrooms. For the price we paid, it wasn’t worth it. Our sever was friendly and helpful. It just took a little bit to get our bill and cards back. The menu was definitely different from the Miso in Annandale. They don’t offer combo meals which is one of the best things about the other location. It just wasn’t worth it for me and I probably won’t be coming back.

Came here for dinner and had a good time. Ambience and interior design are beautiful. They have cool lighting and booth seats. We ordered the fish katsu, bacon wrapped scallops, spicy pork belly bbq, and udong noodle soup. They have different sections of food on the menu. It varies from skewers, appetizers, katsu, noodles, all you can eat bbq, cheese roll katsu, and Korean BBQ plates. I would say that the menu is a bit all over the place and although it was the soft opening, the server was not aware of certain things on the menu. Each food had its own flavors. I specifically enjoyed the udong and the bacon wrapped scallops. The scallop skewer comes out very small and in four pieces but they’re very flavorful. The spicy pork belly comes out in a decent sized portion with veggies. Looks appetizing but the meat was too oily and burnt and the rice was extremely watered down. It pretty much tasted like porridge. The fish katsu comes out in a single piece with some cabbage salad and is not enough to fill you up. Overall, the prices are pretty reasonable but the quantity of the food does not suffice. Be prepared to order more!
