My friend’s penne pasta was good, but that’s the only thing that was. My cheese quesadillas with vegetables could not possibly have had less cheese, and the tortilla wrapper was stale. We asked for bread while we waited for our entrees; the bread arrived late and was still frozen in the middle. When we complained, they brought a second serving which was merely cold in the middle but warm on the outside. Cream for coffee came so late that the coffee got cold waiting on it. We asked for spoons to stir the cream and she brought soup spoons. We were told no, she wasn’t new at her job.

Eat and enjoy without leaving the hotel. You never know a random thunderstorm will hit you first step out the door. Yes it happened earlier this week. Located in the heart of the Rockville Hilton. Yes. It is pricey. But If you can afford to stay at the Rockford Hilton, cost shouldn’t be an issue. Ate two meals here and the other two times for drinks while the NBA Finals were on. The Bar/lounge: 4 beers on Tap. Stella, Yuengling, Sam Adams, and Flying Dog. Two TVs at the bar. Relaxing seats in the lounge area. Yuengling is a great east coast beer. Enjoyed that, the Sam Adams seasonal and the Flying Dog IPA. The food: 1st meal I had two appetizers. The mini crab cakes and lobster mac & cheese. 2nd meal I had the crab cake sandwich. Both meals were excellent. You can’t leave Maryland without eating some crab cakes. Not the best but pretty darn close to what I enjoyed in Baltimore. The best surprise was the lobster mac & cheese. So simple yet so delicious. Had to have a friend try it to see if my taste buds were bad or if it was the real deal. She verified it was mmmmmm good! Service: at the bar it was excellent! The lounge, one waitress could be a little nicer. Lots of great options in the Rockville area. This one was well worth it for me.

This is a bar/lounge within the Hilton hotel. They serve both lunch and dinner in addition to drinks. There are 2 big TVs and they were showing sports at the time. One person seems to take care of everything — he was the bartender, bar-back and server as well, but he did pretty good seeing that the bar/lounge area at the time I visited was full of folks(this was on a Sat evening). I ordered my food to go and decided to try their Chicken Pot Pie. It is chicken breast with vegetables and potatoes in a light cream with a flaky pastry crust. When I got it, it looked quite different from a normal pot pie and my server informed me of this. So picture a pot pie — the fixings are usually in the flaky pastry crust. Well, this pot pie had all of those fixings outside the crust, with the flaky pastry on top of it… very unusual. However, as I started eating, it turned out to be quite delicious. Not something I expected from eating in a hotel. I am curious to see what else they serve that taste that good.

The beer is a little overpriced here, which is to be expected at a hotel bar, but other than that I have no complaints. The bar tenders and servers were all really nice and helpful, and there was little to no wait to get your drink. The drinks were good, and they had a good selection of wines and beers. If I were staying in the Rockville, MD area I would definitely check this bar out!

Very friendly staff. Pleasant and attractive atmosphere. But limited selection of beer, wine and spirits — even less than the typical Hilton bar which is typically pretty limited. The beers they offer do include some good choices, though. But the wines are all marginal second and third tier choices — nothing for a person that is at all into wine.
