Several dentists in the area recommended me to Dr. Wing Chan. Since 2007, I’ve been a patient of Dr. Wing Chan. His team is patient, gentle, caring, and careful. He is like the master of making root canals seem painless. I like being given a pair of scientific googles and headphones with soft, calming music playing. After the procedure, he provides you with instructions(e.g., a list of do’s and don’t) for the road to speedy recovery.

About 3 weeks ago, I went to my general dentist due to immense tooth pain. He gave Dr. Chan a call, and thankfully Dr. Chan took me in his chair the same day. The procedure took about an hour, maybe less because this guy is EXTREMELY good at what he does. I am not exaggerating this at all. My dental school boyfriend told me that most dentists need 1 hour to 1 ½ hours to complete a root canal on a molar tooth. But this dentist knew exactly what he was doing, so I didn’t have to suffer in that dental chair for very long. I was numbed for the procedure so I didn’t feel pain. The healing process immediately after the visit was just blissful compared to how I felt before visiting Dr. Chan. Someone wrote a review saying that Dr. Chan is not one for much chit chat which is absolutely correct. He was straight to the point and got his work done fast and well done which is all I can ask for. His staff were not only professional, but also so friendly. They understood that I was in pain and they eased my nerves while I was in the chair. I will definitely be returning to Dr. Chan’s office for any future root canals because he is a doctor’s whose skills I can TRUST.

This man knows what he is doing– I almost wish he was a full service dentist. He approaches teeth with confidence, mastery and skill. If you like no-nonsense service and for your professional to focus on the task at hand– this is your guy. I will go back to him for ALL my root canals. His staff is pleasant, organized, and respectful. Dr. Chan and staff where gloves and masks while performing treatment(many densist in the DC metro do not and it’s gross). If you expect a dentist to ask what your dogs names are and what you ate while vacationing in Alabama– He is not your guy. Dr. Chan is all about what he is there to do — ANDHEISGOODATIT. I HIGHLY recommend him for the 3 S’s: SKILL– SANITARY– SERIOUS

Dr. Chan was my endodondist(aka dentist who did my root canals), and I paid about 4 visits to him throughout my HS and college years. He was also referred by our family dentist, Dr. Lam. Dr. Chan is awesome, and when I had my root canals done(daunting to most ppl), I didn’t mind it at all. it was not painful, and always done very well. If I ever move back to MD, I’ll continue to go to Dr. Chan(since I have really bad teeth).
