Last Saturday night was the First Annual Celebrate Fate event that was held at Smith Park in little ol’ Fate, Texas. For being a first-time event, this turned out to be pretty awesome! They had a live band that played some great tunes; food vendors, lots of bounce houses and face painting for the kids, and not one, but TWO fireworks shows! The first show started promptly at 9:00 p.m. and lasted 15 minutes and was pretty damned good. Then the SECOND fireworks show got underway and you could tell immediately that this was put on by a professional pyrotechnics company. The second show was set to music and was on the same level as something you’d see at Fair Park or Kaboom Town! I’m not kidding when I say it was phenominal — especially the finale!(Even my little doggies got scared!) Give this event another two or three years and I predict it’s going to be huge! Thanks to the City of Fate and their sponsors for putting on this event.
