They have just the right amount of choices for flavors. The fruits and toppings are usually fresh. It’s not as big and fancy as some other froyo places, but it’s the right price, or however much I’m willing to eat/spend. All other DIY froyo places that I’ve been, I’ve gotten sick and I usually don’t return. I’ve never gotten sick from here, which I assume they keep things very clean and sanitary. Also, the I like the reward card they use, where you get a stamp for every 8 oz, and the 10th is free.

Ugh… I hate liking all these new froyo places. The market is so badly saturated, half of them will inevitably close in the next five years, no matter how good the product is. KiwiSpoon gets five stars because so far, I have yet to enjoy a flavor combination as good as what I had the other day. Their regular tart, swirled with raspberry pomegranate sorbet… it was food snob heaven in a cup. Super refreshing on a hot summer day. But of course, I was the only one in the store on a hot Saturday afternoon. It doesn’t bode well for unsustainable froyo market in Central Connecticut. May the company willing to throw the most money at the problem win!

Location — Located in a strip mall that’s opposite to Starbucks. Parking spaces are many so there’s no problems finding a spot. Aesthetics — Spacious with lots of seating and chairs, muted colors on the walls, no music playing, well lit, and for today strangely enough the A/C wasn’t on. Menu — Very limited compared to some of the other frozen yogurt joints around, e.g. Froyo or Sweet Berry. Service — Staff was absolutely unfriendly! When we entered we weren’t even greeted by the cashier who had a flat affect, no smile, and a blank stare. Past the cashier, and on to the yogurt stations, we encounter the next staff member who was there handing out the request samples. After we asked for 2 – 4 samples, she decides to head back behind the counter and act oblivious to us wanting to try a couple more of their limited flavor samples so we left with nothing as much as a goodbye from the staff particularly the flat affect cashier! Food — Flavors/selection were too limited to form an opinion on this! Rating — 1⁄5 based solely on the staff and limited flavor selection.

This place is awesome, the yogurt is cold and flavorful!!! Their are 10 different flavors that rotate to other flavors. There is a bar to add your favorite toppings from different types of crunchy candy to fruit to sprinkles, syrups and more! The staff are always very friendly and are always willing to provide samples. Recently they changed from one to three different sizes of containers. The business is always clean and the open hours are very convenient. Highly Recommend!!!

After a disaterous trek to another DIY yogurt shop down the street — we headed back to what I now realize is our«go-to» froyo place. Why is it our«go to» froyo shop you might ask — well other than the fact that I found out while paying for our treats last night that Mark has not 1 but 3 frequent customer punch cards(and for some reason refuses to redeem any of them), on all of our trips to Kiwi Spoon we have never been disappointed by their froyo — smooth, creamy and frozen(what a concept) each flavor actually has. wait for it… flavor. They consistently rotate their flavor options and while I await the return of cheesecake and red velvet cupcake — I still thoroughly enjoy all of their flavors

Frozen yogurt like I used to remember it as a kid. Sweet and delicious. Now there’s a lot of propaganda on the walls about frozen yogurt lowering your cholesterol and stuff, but I doubt shoveling down sugary treats is really all that helpful even if it is a tiny bit«healthier» than ice cream. Meh. Whatever. I’ll take it. Make your way to the back of the shop and you’ll see a bunch of soft serve machines. There are a handful of exotic flavors, like red velvet cake and cookies and cream, and a couple more down-to-earth choices like plain and vanilla. There should be an employee who pops out from the back room with a bunch of sample cups so you can try whatever flavors you want before choosing. After you’re confident in your decision you can help yourself. I think it was something like $ 0.50/ounce, so go crazy. Then you walk back towards the front counter where you will pass a selection of toppings the likes of which may make your next decision very difficult. Think long and hard about what would match your flavor. Reese’s Pieces probably wont mesh with mint, for instance. There were too many toppings to list, but a few I remembered were chocolate rocks, peanut butter cups, gummy bears, sour gummy worms, fruit, and smashed up cookies of every kind. Moderation is a good thing. Skip the«bubble tea». It’s a powdered drink mix. Not-so-good.

seemed smaller than the other Kiwi Spoon i have been to, but this one didnt seem as busy as the other. Self serve yogurt, a bunch of flavors, a bunch of toppings. pay by the pound. all the rage. you know the deal. the kids are crazy for the yogurt. Yogurt was good. I had the cappucino one and added some chocolate. The cappucino flavor was pretty weak. Chocolate was pretty strong. nice friendly people working here.
