We had their hyderabadi veg biryani and spring dosa for lunch. Both were great. I would recommend this place for biryani and dosas.

Very disappointing. We were on our way from Vermont to New Haven. We were hungry and looked for something good. After an hour drive, we reached this place to face the unprofessional customer service. The food never met the expectations(at least for the name, forget it being the Indian cuisine). The biryani wasn’t very pleasing.

I’m in a love/hate relation with this place . I hate it coz im forced(social pressure) to eat here all the time but then if I don’t eat here for a while I crave the food. The biryani is awesome esp. knowing how hard it is to make and how easy it is to order. The boneless chicken biryani(main course) and samosa chat or the chicken tikka(appetizer) is our standard take out order. It’s very rare that we dine in. If you don’t eat the biryani within half hr from the time u get it, u rather trash it. Coz the rice gets inedibly hard. Idli(usually with all sambar/onion chutney/coconut chutney/peanut chutney) is quite nice as an alternative, also good for kids. But again the half hr rule applies.

We visited on weekday to had some biryani. They have Monday biryani special buffet for 12 $ so you can try all biryani“s. We started with lamb biryani then had half portion of chicken biryani. Every Thing was tasty and delicious. The owner and staff also friendly. I definitely revisit this place when ever I’m In Hartford for just biryani.

Well I have been to Paradise in NJ and NY. Went to this one in Rocky Hill with the same expectations. But it was a disappointment. The service was horrible. The wait staff spilled water over the table when pouring it into the glass. He did not even apologize or acknowledge it and didn’t even bother coming back to clean it up. When requested to clean the water, they asked us instead if we spilled it. There were just 3 tables occupied and they took forever to roll out the food. The staff was running around as if the restaurant was overbooked and were clueless. Coming to the Biryani, We ordered a veg and a chicken(boneless) biryani. The veg biryani had no vegetables in it. basically it was just safron rice with a few peas in it. The chicken biryani was filled with rice again and had 4 – 5 pieces of chicken in it. You really need to dig through to find those pieces. Looked more like pulao than biryani. Desserts.disappointment again. we ordered double ka meetha which is supposed to be a bread pudding made in ghee, Khoa and some milk with dry fruits. Instead we get served 4 pieces of small bread toasts dipped in sugar syrup over some condensed milk. And for all of this they gracefully added a 20% gratuity to our bill. Overpriced, poor quality

Authentic Biriyani!!! Really good!!! Definitely coming back here!!! Ordered vegetable dum Biriyani and tasted so good! Only next to the one I had in Biriyani Pot, Houston, TX. To all the Biriyani lovers out there this is the place to come get some lip smacking delish Biriyani. The waiter was friendly and welcoming. For those who don’t like it spicy go for mild as even medium is quite spicy for Indian like me.

Like this place for the authentic briyani only if they can lower the spice level. Along with the briyani, we also ordered for some lamb curry with a cream base which was not spicy. Desserts are mediocre.

This is a place you go expecting brusque desi-style cut to the chase service — no pleasantries even on first time arrival!!! If you can wrap your head around this social amporhism then you’ll actually enjoy the awesome food this«Pointe» has to offer :) The chicken Biryani is on the mild side but packed with walloping flavor — enough to satisfy even the most pessimistic patron. Literally Everything I’ve had here has been above average to excellent. The 95% South Indian clientele stat might tell you something!

I had to make a reservation for a party of 5 and the manger immediately asked me for how long I would be sitting at their restaurant as there wasn’t much space. Did not feel comfortable at that question. If I have to hurry up and finish I would rather eat from home. I did not go through and had the gathering done else where. But I did go another day just to taste their biriyani as the name of the restaurant is «paradise biriyani». Frankly, it was The worst biriyani I ever tasted. It totally lacked flavor and was very dry. The buffet had only one item for dessert. I don’t think I would recommend this restaurant to any one.

I stopped in spontaneously for take-out at lunchtime. The restaurant was empty, but they had a buffet set up. The waiter behind the bar was very polite… a little overdone with the ‘ma’am’-ing, but I will take an eager greeting to an indifferent one any day. I was offered to select from the buffet or order from the menu. I chose the buffet for convenience. :) I had the chicken hyderabadi, ‘Paradise dal fry’ and paneer uthappam with basmati rice. The lunch came with naan, of course, and a small portion of the dessert, for a reasonable price of $ 10 and change. I loved it all. The chicken was well-cooked and not at all dry. None of the items were too oily and the naan was perfect!(ie. not overly chewy) The dessert was odd in texture and very sweet… not sure what it was, but it was not for me. All in all, my first experience was an unexpected delight! I will definitely try this place again in the future.
