What a nice surprise! Unilocal led us to this awesome little spot in downtown Rocky Mount. Got there around 11am on a Saturday and they offered breakfast or lunch. Pimento cheese with local bacon and dill pickle on grilled sourdough was delicious. The side of tomato soup was a perfect pairing. Check this place out because anywhere that serves coffee and beer and great food should not be overlooked.

For an out of towner this sandwich shop seems to be in a super random location. I got the Turkey Avocado sandwich and am very pleased. We got right back on the road so we couldn’t try the microbrews but they looked pretty good.

Great place downtown. This is the second time I’ve eaten here. I ordered the portobello and kale sandwich for the second time. So good and quite filling! The sandwich comes with chips. The atmosphere is nice and the service is not bad. Sandwich and can of soda $ 9.75. A little pricing for lunch but you could always save half for later.

Took my little cousin to the museum last week and stopped in to have a bite. The food was fantastic! With a surprisingly awesome selection of drinks. I can’t wait to go again and try some of the pale ales I spied on the way out!

Love, love, love! Milton & Miles may very well be my favorite place in Rocky Mount. Everything I’ve tried has been amazing… the chocolate chip cookies are to die for. And the coffee… by far the best in town. I recommend Milton & Miles to all of my friends!

We were traveling to eastern NC, and found this on Unilocal. Not far off highway 64. Limited dinner menu but the staff was SUPER accommodating. I had a turkey cranberry panini with green chiles. He had a croque Monsieur. The child had a special order basic turkey sandwich w only lettuce. All came w chips. Really amazing atmosphere, located in what looks like an old mill. Food was tasty, reasonably priced, and super friendly. I want to return for coffee.

Great find in a unique and historic location. We are from out-of-state and are in the area for a soccer tournament(at nearby fields). I found Milton & Miles via Unilocal and was not disappointed. This restaurant has original sandwiches, soups, salads, coffees and baked goods. It also has a nice selection of unusual beers. The food is local and good; the setting(easy to find in the arts complex) creates a nice buzz. Make sure to try the chocolate chip cookies and/or the chocolate milk from a nearby dairy.

I hope this establishment is a success but I won’t be surprised if it doesn’t make it. I have had lunch several times here and will continue to go and support their efforts. Maybe they’re doing well with the catering but it’s usually pretty quiet when I go. The food is very tasty but expensive for Rocky Mount. I keep telling friends to go try it but many people have never heard of it and don’t seem too anxious to go downtown for lunch. I’m not sure it would appeal to all of the people who work in the area, probably a little too pricey so they are missing out on nearby customers. Go for croque monsieur Monday, delicious!

You have to know this place exists to find it. It’s inside the Imperial Center, which is an old tobacco processing faculty turned into a gallery and museum. The building is beautiful, and the coffee shop gives off a classy and trendy vibe. Kind of hard tim imagine that such a fancy coffee shop exists when down the street there are abandoned buildings. Perhaps it’s a sign of a revitalizing downtown. Only time will tell. Regardless, the Chai Latte I had was very good. Much better then you get from Starbucks, but a little smaller and more expensive. So I guess you get what you pay for.

Perfect stop either with the kids before the Children’s Museum, or just for a place for a cup a joe.
