I’ve always loved this diner but now they have a new menu that’s really great. Had the fajita salad which was delicious.

Service was good and friendly very attentive. Restaurant was clean for the most part. Food was good with large portions. The juke boxes at each table are a nice touch. The waiter who sounds like Christian Slater from the Heathers movie especially friendly. Would totally recommend.

It’s a pretty good diner! The service was ok but it could’ve improved a little bit. When I ordered a salad it came with my main course and I really wasn’t feeling the salad anymore. The food was great though. And as I said the service was ok but it could’ve improved. Well, it was close to closing on a Sunday night so they have an excuse.

Terrible :(Service was lacking, and the food was disgusting… Everything«on the side» was pre packaged, and me and my boyfriend got sick later that night. Such a shame.

My wife and I dined there for dinner on Oct. 20, 2014. While the meal was acceptable and the usual diner fare that we expected, we did not expect that Nick the manager would DOUBLE charge our credit card for the cost of our meal. I’ve had telephone conversations two times since then with Nick. Each time, he promised to send me a check for the amount of the overcharge. Each time, he did not. He lies. He acknowledged the error and noted the date/time/amount of the charge in our phone conversations. As I live several states away, I am unable to confront him in person to resolve the matter. So, I leave this«review» and plan to post similar at the BBB and the local Chamber of Commerce. Regardless of his menu, the manner in which he runs his business is not worthy of any rating star. My recommendation is to pay in cash.

I think this diner is good. Always friendly, food is better than decent but not fantastic. A little higher priced for a diner but clean and like I said food is good! Their desserts look amazing but I have not tried any! My kids love the chocolate chip pancakes! Omelets are delicious! Enjoy!

I went there today for a late lunch at about 3PM. I was alarmed to see only 2 cars in the lot but chalked it up to the time of day — between the lunch and dinner rush. The waitress was friendly and attentive but the food was average at best. Chicken tenders were nowhere near tender — it seems like they had been deep fried till they were tough as shoe leather. I was pleasantly surprised to find a Unilocal coupon for 10% off but when I presented it to the man at the register(I presume he was the owner) on my cell phone, he handed it back to me and said«What ‘s Unilocal?— I don’t know anything about a coupon». After I insisted, he begrudgingly gave me the discount. No, we won’t be back.

It saddens me to give this place a bad review. I use to go here all the time as a teenager in the 90’s. Now that I’m back in the area I’ve visited this Diner twice. Both times for dinner around 8:30pm. The first time I thought it was just a fluke experience so I didn’t write a review. But since I’ve had the same experience twice I’m posting in hope that the owners will bring life back to this establishment. I walk in and find a waitress sitting on a stool texting, doesn’t look up or acknowledge that we walked in. «Manger» comes out and seats us. I’m always concerned about my level of service when employees are clearly allowed to play on their phones. Waitress admits she’s new and doesn’t know much about the menu. Fair enough, but why is there no training or a second waitress to help? I asked if they had curly fries, she said«When I put in curly fires it always comes out regular, but I’ll put it in for you» Like what the hell does that say about our future meal?! I appreciate her honesty. It did come out as curly fries. We had a total of three waitress. The first one went home(shift was over) without notifying us. A second started to help us. A third found us sitting around and asked if we were being helped and if we were waiting for a check and promptly got us a check. No one came to check on our meals after the food was served or refill our soda or water. I was able to hear the night manager bark orders at the night waitresses, who incidentally had a hitler style mustache which I’m pretty sure is still out of fashion for obvious associations, but to each their own I guess. Poor management behavior. My girlfriends meal was average both times. Nothing seemed like high quality or had the appearance of effort put into the presentation. My pickles were soggy and warm, as if they were out all day. Cole slaw was in a small plastic cup, poor presentation. Didn’t bother trying it. My burger, both times, was burnt to a crisp, it actually crunched. I ordered it medium. The burger size seems to be 6oz vs. most establishments that give a larger size. The cheese slices and burger are dwarfed by the bun. How any chef felt pride putting that on a plate for consumption is beyond me. Better management, training, and oversight in food quality and constancy is needed to fix this place. Atmosphere was good. Food was prompt. Place seemed clean and well maintained. I won’t be back until I see better reviews.

Got take out(sandwich) a few weeks ago. It was fine and prepared as ordered. Have not been here in a while, however, think I will be back again soon, seems a bit improved. Service fast and staff was friendly. Pretty decent that the staff does read the posts and they post back.

I have visited many times and always received good service, great burgers(Buffalo), diverse menu and very clean — if you are in the mood for great diner food, RP Town House will not disappoint.

This has always been one of our go to places after night time school events. The beautiful thing about the diner is that there is something for everyone. Our last outing both me and my bride had burgers. She always has a plain burger cooked medium with fries. I tend towards Bacon cheeseburgers with cheddar or pepper jack cheese if I can get it. I also like a medium cooked burger. This time around her burger was cooked well, although not dried out, definitely overcooked. My burger was undercooked with red meat morsels inside. My cheddar looked like it had seen better days as well as some dried edges were evident. I pulled these off. The fries are OK, not a lot of flavor or texture. Their slaw is nothing special and I’d bet that you will find a Costco jar in the back somewhere. I go with two stars as I give them a little credit for the past. Hopefully quality doesn’t slide anymore.

This was a great diner back in the day. Now? It’s old and run down, the food is mediocre and it’s pricey. I ordered a Western Omelet with rye toast. Simple right? I got some strange looking toast that wasn’t rye bread and my omelet was overcooked and tasted metallic. As Billy Joel sang, you can never go back there again.

This has always been«my diner». So I have to leave this at a higher rating. I do have to say the quality of the food has gone down hill over the years. VEGETARIANSBEWARE the home fries gets mixed in with bacon oil. One of the Best dishes they have is the Greek Pizza. I would eat here again but I do hope the quality in food and service get’s better.

This was a diner with diner food and diner prices. Our service was friendly, the food was OK(I only saw scrambled and fried eggs — what’s with the no over easy?) and the atmosphere was sufficiently diner-like. My only complaint was the french toast was way too bready. The bread was fluffy and delicious but there was almost no egg, making it dry and more dessert-like than breakfast-like. It would be great if they let that bad boy soak in the egg for another minute. Also, no real maple syrup. What’s the point of homemade challah bread if you’re going to ruin it with Aunt Jemima’s?! If I was in the area and wanted to nosh on some diner food I wouldn’t be afraid of coming back.

Pretty much just crappy diner food priced the same as good food from a decent restaurant. I brought a bottle of water that they made me leave in the front of the restaurant. When I brought the check up they completely forgot about it. I didn’t even ask for it back because I didn’t want to stay a second longer in this trashcan of a diner. The food: I got a simple egg sandwich, and I gotta say that I make better eggs in my kitchen. The eggs were so dry and overcooked, with no seasoning. The person I was with didn’t finish their gyro«because it’s bad.» The waitresses are old, not attentive, unattractive, and quite rude. Witches, in fact. You know your waitress is bad when you regret tipping them a measly 5 bucks on the car ride home. The coffee was also weaker than my grandmothers bones. Basically warm water ran through stale old Folgers. Go to Mt Sinai diner, folks.
