This is a great Mexican place in the area. Their food is tasty and also in good portion. We ordered a Fajita and Enchilada and they both tasted delicious. Their Spinach filled mushrooms tastes awesome! Service is good and the waiter actually remembered us from our previous visit :) I would love to visit them again. However, there are not many vegetarian options! The only reason I am giving a 4 star rating is because of the cleanliness. They could maintain it much better. There were pieces of food all over the booth where we sat. They didn’t seem to clean the seats. They only clean the tables when someone is done. Other than that, I would recommend this place to a friend for some good Mexican food!

Easy to enjoy. Nice portions and complimentary sides. Tasty food. My favorites are the sea food plates actually. Their Salmon is my personal favorite. I also enjoy their carry-out service. Good value but, not inexpensive.

Tried something new on the menu this time, everything I’ve ever ordered has exceeded my expectations. Even the salad with lime dressing was yummy, shrimp cocktail was great, little more guacamole than the rest of my party cared for. Laredo dinner is still a fave tho! And papas are a must!

This visit was not good at all. I don’t know what happened, but if they keep on this track, I’ll not be going back. The food that we normally order was extremely spicy(even to me, and I like very spicy foods). Service was excruciatingly slow. We spent 2 hours just to have dinner for 5 people. We waited for drink refills quite often, we were charged for items that we didn’t purchase and the waitress seemed uncaring. We normally love the food here, so we’ll give it one more chance, but that’s it!

Our waitress was awesome, the salsa and chips were good. I got some«burrito» concoction, it was ok… My wife said not to go to Mexican food in Arkansas, I should have listened to her, I knew there was a reason why I married her.

food was good but quantity on regular plates was very low. fajithas had no rice with them and mojitos had no mango flavor. over all 3 stars for quality of food and ambience.

I’ve been here a dozen times but now can post a good review! I had excellent service, and our waiter was attentive and not hovering. I could order my dish the way I wanted it. Everything was fresh and not greasy, they have lots of gluten free and vegan options. Even the chips and salsa can come baked and not fried.

Chips and salsa was good, I enjoied the 3 different choices for the salsa. Service was ok, but thats really where the positives ended. My wife and I ordered the enchilada lunch. When it arrived the plates were so hot that I spent my lunchtime making sure my 4 year old didnt touch the plate rather than enjoying my lunch. The food was way to hot to eat as well, making it clear that they either spent a lot of time in a microwave or under a broiler. I spent many years in the restaurant business and would NEVER had served a plate that hot, especially to a table with children. Unfortunately, being hot was the best thing about the food. It was bland and very disappointing. This was our first and last visit to this restaurant.

We’ve always gotten good service and yummy food. I get this meal that is HUGE. The Monterey? It comes on a platter large enough to fit a small turkey. It’s a chciken taco, 3 enchiladas and rice or papas and beans(get the potatoes omg) sure it’s like 16 bucks… but it’s always 2 meals! Worth it! Hubs and I usually go for our date night as it seems«fancy»

The food was good, not many light options if you’re vegetarian. The salsas were enjoyable, but most of the food had a LOT of cheese. The service was good, I brought my family here and they seated 7 of us promptly, the server was patient as my niece and nephew were a bit indecisive. The portions were on the larger size.

the food at abuelos was not bad but not good either. it was very heavy so it was to is overrated. but the environment was pretty great the food quality is a 2 in terms taste… perhaps the cheese masked the flavor due to too much cheese on food. the atmosphere was nice but food is overrated. I did not really like it that much it was not so good.

We came to Bentonville to visit for a week and guess what, we went to this restaurant three times already. We loved their architecture and their mix drink!!! Swirl strawberry mix drink is my favorite and they even have a larger portion of it. My husband love to order shrimp tacos with strawberry cerveza Martinez, that is a really cool drink as well. Love this place. People are super nice and helpful.

Abuelo’s is our absolute favorite Mexican food restaurant in the area. Superb food and excellent service are the reasons for their success. We have been many times and the servers never let us down. Fresh chips and 3 dipping sauces were placed right away. There is a super hot red salsa, a spicy salsa, and a salsa verde, my absolute favorite which I put on everything. If you want an extra special and awesome appetizer, order the jalapeño fritters which are made fresh daily.(They kind of look like a doughnut hole.) You get 10 of them with a ranch dipping sauce. I could eat them all day long. Each of us orders one of the two large combination plates. We exchange items with each other so it is perfect for us. I always ask for the flour tortilla instead of the corn tortillas. The avocado enchiladas just melt in your mouth. The chili relleno is the best I have ever eaten, including at «authentic» Mexican restaurants. The tamales are awesome as well. The guacamole is smooth and made fresh. We never have to worry about an empty water glass as we get a carafe at the table. What is really great is that there is so much food that we can take enough home for another meal. This is an amazing restaurant that you will fall in love with just like we have.

Three salsas with your chips, none of them standout. They all lacked balance and a strong base to define the profile. Chips have a pasty flavor. The Tex Mex food did not taste fresh at all, had that strange texture foods with lots of preservatives have, the meat lacked seasoning and reminded me of Taco Bell in terms of the quality of ingredients. Lackluster and would not go back for the entrée. Our 3-yr old said the quesadilla had nothing on Chipotle’s quesadilla. Service was nice, though management has these obtrusive tablets with a menu and POS system so you can checkout from your table. For the price point(average, but not fast food by any means), it’s a little odd to not have the opportunity to wrap up your interaction with your waiter/waitress with a thank you/have a nice night. You just swipe your card and leave. So that kind of degrades any experience they are aspiring to give customers.

Pedro S is the best, professional, communicator and server . The carnitas tacos and mashed potatoes we’re delicious and went well together. My husband enjoyed the Granada burrito and the hanbanero salsa and chips! We will be back!

Overall: Average Mexican with a nice environment. Banquet room available for groups. Pros: — Chips and salsa are pretty tasty(free). — You can sit in the bar area and choose to use an iPad to place orders and pay for your meal whenever you are ready to leave. Cons: — Not super Gluten-Friendly. — Crazy parking lot off Walton/Walnut gets a little crazy around lunch. — Less than impressive food compared to the nice-ish atmosphere.

This place was OK. Me & another got enchiladas with various sauces. The rice was thick with tomato paste & the cream sauce had a plastic like sheen to it. Boyfriend got the fajitas & boy was I JEALOUS! They looked amazing & came with a full selection of toppings. He also got the spicy potatos and those were quite good. Happy hour prices looked great & we were seated fairly quickly even in a rush but food came slowly. Oh well, they replenished our chips, salsas and drinks frequently.
