When I really didn’t want to go to Wal-​Mart and deal with a huge parking lot and a long walk through the store, Dollar General fit the bill. Yes, the selection is limited, but the prices are great. Friendly service (I had to wait at the register for a minute while the cashier helped carry an elderly customer’s purchase to her car), and decent prices on merchandise.
