We live by this place and it’s awesome, super staff, awesome owner, awesome chicken, we’d eat here everyday if we could, highly recommend to anyone that loves a traditional pan fried chicken that’s actually cut up from a whole bird, you get all the pieces from drum sticks to the wishbone! Great job!

I was really excited to try this place out and maybe I shouldn’t have been so excited and expected so much. It is a local favorite and I’d advise reservations. They are really nice and were very very busy(Memorial Day weekend). I loved that it was family style and all you can eat for a decent price. The food was good, not particularly outstanding though. I felt like I was eating at grandmas house in one giant dining room. The Bean soup was very tasty and I could taste the smoky ham hock flavor in it, though I couldn’t find one bean. The mashed potatoes seemed out of a box, but buttery and smooth. Corn tasted like it was out of can, but not bad. There were rolls and the fried chicken was pretty good. The breast a little dry. I kept trying to get more thighs, but every time I asked for more, the rest of my table(family) ate it before I could get to it. Cobbler a la mode was okay. This place has a lot of history and they were really nice. Some people really like it.

Read the other posts about the food and service. My comment is that AQ chicken is famous as the best around, but that is wrong. The best chicken is at Monte Né. A little expensive for chicken.

Well months later and the food hasn’t/won’t change… chicken is ok… but sides have gotten saltier if that is at all possible. I just DON’T SEETHEATTRACTION!!! But, my elderly mother enjoys it(one of those lazy housewives I talked about). What EVER!

Our annual conference is in Rogers and I plan my whole experience around getting to eat here. I can’t say anything that hasn’t been said about the family style service. The food is good and I will always patronize when I’m in the area.

Really enjoyed this place for Sunday lunch, not a bad idea to call ahead for reservation on the weekends. Food served family style: fried chicken, potatoes, corn, green beans, coleslaw and fresh bread. The white bean soup appetizer is excellent. Staff is very courteous and makes everyone feel welcome. Great lunch location and atmosphere for kids. Not a place to come and dine by yourself, the family will enjoy it.

This place was recommended on a recent business trip to Northwest Arkansas. Great family dining place. I was alone but still made to feel welcome. The chicken was great.

So I’m sure many people will disagree with me on this but Monte Né is just ok. The atmosphere is great which is where the two stars came from. Sitting down family style is always a good experience(depending on your family I guess). I really enjoyed passing food around the table and being able to have a conversation over a family dinner. HOWEVER, the food is meant for your 75 year old grandmother who no longer has taste buds. Seasonings are a thing of the past here, I mean who needs them when the last time you had salt was 1945. If you want all you can eat of mediocre, eat here

If you haven’t experienced the spread of food you get at Monte Né, you must do so immediately. Everything was delicious. I ate until I had vertigo lol. Great atmosphere, very friendly service. My husband and I went on a Friday night and didn’t have to wait for a table. I highly recommend Monte Né. Save room for dessert!

Great food! No menu, which makes it fun. The only downside was that they make a big deal about a to-go bag. They don’t allow it which is weird.

Found this place by accident, but what a cool place. Family style chicken dinner is what they have. No menu but plenty to eat. I was alone and they were able to get me right in tonight but would suggest calling for reservation before going. Enjoyed the dinner, Fresh Bread, fried chicken, corn, green beans, mashed potatos, gravy, bean soup, apple butter and sweet ice tea. Oh yes did I say its all you can eat! I plan to go back before I leave…

Totally awesome FAMILYSTYLE meal. You sit down and your served the most amazing bean soup… you can have as much as you like. Then they set you up with fried chicken, seasoned green beans(my fave) mashed potatoes, white gravy, corn, Cole slaw, bread and applebutter… all in big bowls like you’d eat on thanksgiving! If you want more green beans(and you will) just ask and you get more green beans! It’s buffet without the fear that some kid was up there sneezing or touching things with dirty kid fingers! Service has always been excellent. If your going on the weekend, or you have a large group don’t forget to make a reservation! Oh and the sweet tea!

Don’t expect a menu. sit down. order your drink and the food starts coming. Good southern style fried chicken. Have a reservation as the waits can be long if you don’t.

Maybe I expected to much, but Monte NE Inn is only OK. NOTE: 4 stars for value if you can eat about 10 pieces or more. Service was good, but not amazing. Our waiter seemed hesitant at times to bring us more chicken as our group inhaled the chicken as they showed up. Ambiance is what you’d expect, but a little dirtier than you’d hope. There were some flies inside the restaurant, and one that took a nose dive into my corn. The sides are okay– not worth complaining about or praising. THECHICKEN! Is ok. Above average, but not amazing. The dark meat is great, but the white meat is still a little dry. To me, juicy white meat is a marker of a great fried chicken restaurant, and Monte Inn’s was only ok. Worth the experience for first-timers, but definitely not going to be a frequent stop

Very good but you need a reservation or you’re not getting in. The chicken and sides are as great as everyone says!

This is a family-style, all-you-can-eat chicken joint with a set menu(potatoes, corn, green beans, bread, cole slaw and chicken) for about $ 12/person. The fried chicken is good, the sides are ok, but the overall experience is great. Once you finish your first serving(per table) of chicken, you can order specific pieces(wings, etc.).

A few of the folks I work with are fried chicken aficionados, so we headed out to this hidden gem. You guys, this is a pretty awesome place. I was embarrassingly overdressed in a dress and heels, but I dove headfirst into their all-you-can-eat smörgåsbord of chicken, potatoes, corn, bread with apple butter, and homemade cobbler and cake. Yowza. It’s delicious food in the middle of nowhere, and totally worth exploring. Home cooked goodness! Don’t miss it!

This is the place to come to for a sit-down, family-style, southern dinner if your mom is more into watching Dr. Oz than Paula Dean. Our family has been coming here since I was just a kid and the food has always been consistent. Is it fabulous? No. Is it better than I remember mom making when mom used to cook this way back in the 70’s? No. But it’s still pretty darn good and everyone in our party seemed to be quite satisfied. The place is packed, reservations are pretty much required and there is only one meal: bean soup, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, white gravy, green beans, corn, coleslaw, and mini loaves of bread served with butter and apple butter. Drinks and dessert are not included in the price. The food is brought to the table in bowls and you serve yourself, just like at home. The waitress did a good job of keeping the platters full. The pureed navy bean soup is more the consistency of a bean sauce, like other Unilocalers said, but the taste is good. Even the very finicky BF liked it. My grandma used to say that she figured they served that delicious bean soup first so you’d fill up on it and eat less chicken, lol. The chicken was juicy and perfectly crispy and my mom and aunts were raving about how good it was, but to me the seasoning was one notch below KFC. The mashed potatoes were really smooth and the gravy was okay. The coleslaw was creamy, but not too liquidy and was quite good. The corn was corn, but the green beans were good. They looked and tasted like canned green beans seasoned with beef bouillion and bacon bits; nothing spectacular but still tasty. Almost everyone opted for dessert. I had the blackberry cobbler a la mode which was good, but not quite as good as homemade. I’m sure we’ll be back for another family dinner!

Amazing deal on some southern cooking. $ 10.99 per person, all you can eat. The menu includes bean soup, fried chicken, green beans, mashed potato, gravy, cole slaw, corn, bread, apple butter. Family style serving. You can upgrade $ 1 per person for white meat only. Chicken was good, but not amazing. Bean soup was a bit bland and didn’t have any wholes beans. Dessert is extra but very reasonably priced: peach cobbler, blackberry cobbler, ice cream, cheese cake, chocolate cake. Downside: there are no other menu options. I wish they would change it up so that I could frequent the restaurant more often. I can only eat so much fried chicken! Would be nice to Mix up the sides with some other southern specialities. Mac and cheese would be a big plus!
