Absolutely terrible. I think this was my worst contractor experience EVER and this company didn’t even end up doing work for me!
My first experience with them was about two years ago, when my garage door came off of its tracking. Obviously having my garage door hanging half open wasn’t going to work for me, so I called The Garage Door Medic to have them come and fix the door. There was a lot of back and forth communication, but the man I spoke to said they would be at my house at 10am the next day to get it taken care of for me. I thought we were on the right track, but was I wrong.
I waited at my house all morning, and they never showed. I tried calling the phone number, and no one answered so I left a voicemail, to of course no call back. At this point, I couldn’t wait any longer so I went to work. Around 4:30pm the same day, I received a phone call that went to voicemail, and it was The Garage Door Medic, and they said «we just went past your house and you weren’t home.» So I called them back IMMEDIATELY, and they didn’t answer. I called repeatedly after that and the guy finally answered, and I told him I could be home in ten minutes, and he said «we’re done for the day.» Are you kidding me? You were just «at my house» and you can’t meet me there now? So I said fine, give me the number for someone who can actually help me. He gave me the number for A-​Z Overhead Door who was more than happy to help me.
My second experience with the Medic was recently when my boyfriend called them to fix our garage door after a coil had snapped (I was out of town, so I would have ABSOLUTELY told him to not waste his time with that bogus business). They had communication back and forth and of course the Garage Door Medic never called him back to come and fix the coil.
Such a joke of a company. How they are still in business I have no idea. They have the WORST customer service I had ever experienced. Call up A-​Z Overhead Door, they are more than willing to help you.

Fast, friendly and professional. I called on Friday morning at 7:45am and my garage was repaired by 9:30 am. I highly recommend this company for garage door repairs!

Garage door torsion spring broke Sunday afternoon. Called Monday at 830 AM. Fixed by Monday at 945 AM. $ 202.57 including tax. How’s that for fast, reasonable service!

So the 150 dollar repair lasted two weeks. To his credit he came back out same day and repaired again. Basically said we should replace the entire door. Only a grand. I’ll give him credit his response is great. If you need same day service I’d recommend him. Just not happy with my door. He did not install it so he can’t be blamed. So I’ll bump it to 4 stars for the response. He did attempt to bang back in the bent bracket so maybe it will last a few more weeks.

I feel bad that it took me so long to write this review, but better late than never, eh?
The torsion spring on our garage door broke a few months ago, leaving us stuck with a non-​functional door. Making matters worse, I was some 700-​miles away when it broke… A search of the web revealed several options — I called around and decided to go with the Garage Door Medic.
My questions were answered promptly and professionally, and they were able to schedule our repair in short order. Within 24 hours, we had a new torsion spring and the garage door was functioning as good as new.
Well, that’s not exactly true… the door functions BETTER than new. While replacing the spring, they noticed that the garage door tracks were out of alignment, and that there were some issues with the way the door had been initially installed (some 10+ years ago). For an additional $ 10, they tuned the garage door tracks and made adjustments.
All I can say is, «WOW.» The door has never been so good — it’s silent in its operation, it’s faster, and it just works better all the way around. I cannot believe the difference the tune-​up made.
So, if you’re in need of garage door service, call these guys. They did an outstanding job for us, and were extremely reasonably priced. I would not hesitate to call them again, although I have a feeling we won’t be needing to call them for a while — they did such a good job!
