Sometimes you need to wash something that won’t fit in your own washer and dryer. Like a king size quilt onto which the dog has tracked something stinky. In times of such need, the coin laundry appears to the rescue. Sadly, few of them are listed on Unilocal and so you have to drive along the major roads with a careful eye looking for a sign. I’m now saving you the trouble, because here’s Vincent Coin Laundry. About 18 or so washers, ranging in size from small to medium to super huge industrial size. The small ones go for $ 1.50 and the super gigantic one that I used was $ 6.00 and it took 23 minutes. I know this, because there was a countdown timer on it. There are a dozen or so dryers, also super huge. Each 8 minute cycle is only 25 cents. While waiting for my quilt to get nice and clean, I was able to watch the bolted-down television and there was a sign noting the password to access their free wifi. Awesome, I spent the time surfing on my iPhone. Picnic-style tables are available for waiting. There are also two«folding» tables and a couple of laundry carts. Plenty of parking and there is a security camera mounted high up on the wall, watching the«office» door and the two $ 1/$ 5/$ 10 change machines. No $ 20’s, I had to find a business nearby to make a small purchase. There is also a machine selling detergent and fabric softener boxes. Note that the door becomes«exit-only» after 11:00PM. This business is not staffed. I don’t have to do this often, but it’s good to know that there is a decent place around if needed.
