White Oak Station No 19

Uh, what?! My husband is from the area and warned me that they have a lot of food options at this nicer convenience store, but most of the various food stations were closed on his previous visits so he had not actually tried anything. We went in around 1 pm on a Saturday in midsummer. The store was busy with lots of customers buying gas, beer, and chips/​candy like a standard c-​store. However, they have this very nice looking HUGE salad bar, pizza counter, deli, bakery type section, etc, and there was one girl working. She seemed to be off cleaning a counter at the far back part of the store and was polite but seemed wholly disinterested when I asked for assistance. After heating up some of the BBQ chicken pizza for us and ringing it up, she vanished again and there were a half-​dozen customers looking at the salad bar, deli, etc, but then wandering away when there appeared to be no staff in sight. Very weird vibe. If you’re going to the trouble of having all of these «high end» food offerings, why not staff it and make it more welcoming? There was a large, very nice & clean (perhaps unused) dining area sectioned off at the very front corner of the store, so we took our pizza there. The chicken on the pizza was great, it tasted like something from a BBQ restaurant. But the crust and cheese were totally flavorless and unremarkable even by «gas station pizza» standards, and the sauce was overly sweet. I would never buy pizza here again even though its price was pretty good. I noticed a lot of tasty looking stuff on the salad bar and probably should have gone for that. I might have, even after the pizza, but again there was not a single soul around to help us so we just left… threw away the huge pile of flavorless crust and cheese after eating the tasty chicken, and walked away. Not impressed at all with this place!

Imagine if World Market traded their furniture and housewares departments for a deli counter and gas pumps. That is White Oak.
It’s not cheap (gas appeared to be on par with the neighborhood) but it’s something you have got to see. I imagine this is very convenient if you need a quick, quality, non-​fast food lunch or if you’re on your way home and need a little gourmet something-​something to round out that nights dinner. Never thought I would be jealous of Rogers, AR!

Cleanest convenience store I have ever been to. You can get gas and a good meal if you are on the go.
