I pretty much trust Unilocal ratings but this was a bust. We went for a good burger but what we got instead was… Two pre-made and pre-fried patties that were bordering on charcoal briquettes by the time they had been heated up again. The bacon was burnt too and crumbled into bitter dust at the first bite. WARNING! This establishment is evidently a very dangerous place because the proprietor/server carried a firearm as he took our order and served us. Maybe his regulars are a rough crowd. If you or your family are at all nervous about being around people of unknown temperament carrying weapons on their hip or worried about getting caught in crossfire, I would avoid this place. I can assure the reader that I had no inclination to complain about the food!

Stopped by after the Rooster fest for a malt. Delicious chocolate malt with the friendliest owner that I have talked to in awhile.

Super yummy! Steak & cheese sandwich with home fries & chocolate peanut butter shake. So good! Owner is a character. He gave us an enthusiastic run down of the menu. Asked if we wanted to be full until dinner or until next week so he could make a proper recommendation. We’ll definitely be back again.

Omg! My first burger stop in Oregon and it’s here in this local mom and pops gem. I was hesitant to go in because there’s no website where I could view a menu. Walked right through the door and immediately spotted«veggie burger.» What! Awesome. Asked what it was, and it was a traditional garden patty. You could make the burger vegan by opting out of the mayo sort of sauce they put on both sides of the patty before placing the patty. I got that with tater tots and boy… the tater tots hit the SPOT. Where can you ever get tater tots anymore when you go out? Thats what i thought. The thing that i dont like about a lot of veggie or vegan burgers is that the patty is either really thick or too chewy and unappetizing to eat or both! This one however was absolutely PERFECT. It was SOFT. It was DELICATE. It was the texture you would expect if you ordered a patty medium rare and you could just bite through it and itd melt. Amazing. Docking off a star because of the lettuce looking wilted and not green at all, but whatever it tasted so good! The sweet potato fries were HAWT and CRUNCHY. And DELICIOUS. Just the way i like em. Unlike the last sweet potato fries i ordered at a dif burger joint in SJ *cough* BCBC *cough*. The specialty sandwiches i believe come in a philly cheesesteak display! At least thats what i got the impression of. I LOVED the interior design of the entire place. Reminded me of your old school diner café. The kind in that movie A Cinderella Story. Ugh so many homy cozy feels here. I would definitely come back if Im ever on this i5 road again. Prices are worth! No sales tax helllloo! Thank you st depot!

Came for lunch with my family. It was good but not great. The meat patties were a bit over cooked. The cheesy fries were very cheesy but were melted in the microwave so after it cools a bit it gets really hard. The shakes were really good! We will probably come here again next time we’re in town. It’s not perfect but it’s still good food.

Definitely one of the best burger and shake combos on the 5, well worth the stop. Just a good down home place to snag a great burger for a great price, and a ton of variety in their shakes. If you’re trying to grab a burger I recommend stopping here!

Best burgers on the I-5! We eat here all the time. The burgers are great, the Philly cheese steak is even better. Also, the owners are awesome and they serve Umpqua Ice cream.

My husband loves the burgers, Im obsessed with the steak sandwiches. The fries are perfect! I like the regular ones a little better than the thicker ones, and please let them cover them in cheese and what not for you. So good. I highly recommend their philly cheese steak. I don’t usually like that, I’ve gone to the specific just philly cheese steak places in the city growing up in SF Bay Area and didn’t enjoy them but theirs is so good. Seriously. Uh, awesome. The milkshakes are super thick!!! Right? They use real deal ingredients(fancy syrups ect) for the specialty shakes, I saw at least 5 ingredients going into the incredible grasshopper shake. I tried a bit of my husbands grasshopper malt and I am now going to have to pick up lactose pills next time I’m at the store. I gotta have one. I have been enjoying their old fashioned cherry cola thus far. So good. Have had that many times at places all around and also the best one I’ve had. I want to get two when I take home food. This spoiled city girl is impressed and more than approves. Lots of smiles and humor when you go in, good food with a good attitude. In this little town? SWEET.

Stopped in for lunch today and was not disappointed. Great cheeseburger and even better peanut butter milkshake. This is an open carry establishment and we were surprised to see both customers and staff packing pistols.

It was 7:15pm on a Thursday night and apparently most of the places to eat were already closed for the night. It was either this or Baci’s and they had a 40 minute wait. So, I strapped on the leash to my faithful traveling companion, and set off with the cousin to see if they had a veggie burger option. Much to my delight, there was so we decided to order. I did not get his name, but the guy behind the counter was great. Not only was the food delicious, they made a patty for my pup as well. Very friendly… I love that. I did not partake on the shake option, but he will make any kind of special shake you want as long as he has the flavors. They even have jalapeño flavoring… so you can imagine the variety available. It’s a burger /shake joint… The food was good. The atmosphere and staff… excellent.

The burgers are pretty good, but I think the best thing are the milkshakes and the fries with their sauce. Overall it’s a pretty good place in rogue river to grab something to eat.

This restaurant is under new ownership as of December 2012. New owners are friendly pro-second amendment types. Owner carries a sidearm inside the restaurant. Two huge gun dictionaries at the order counter. Philly was $ 12 with fries, $ 10 without. I thought it was dry and was made with shaved beef as opposed to slices/chunks.

Food is good but greasy. Menu mostly limited to hamburgers and Philly sandwiches and fries, shakes. The tour bus stopped here in «The Comedians of Comedy» so you can see the interior. Religious quotes everywhere, and sometimes hymns being sung in the kitchen.

Not quite the best burger on I-5 as proclaimed but decent enough. Slightly higher price than warranted($ 10 for burger, fries and a drink) but still tasty. Fries were of the crinkle variety you can buy in the supermarket. The onion rings were really nice and crispy as well. I ordered a $ 4.50 shake because I was feeling frisky(yes, I know you can buy a half gallon of ice cream for this price, but what the heck, I’m in vacation!). The shake was great, and the highlight. Huge shake made with real umpqua ice cream enough to share amongst three people. All in all a nice place to stop in for lunch.
