Gerard and his team catered our wedding and I would highly recommend them to anyone for any event! All the food was perfectly cooked which can be difficult to do in a buffet setting. He worked with my crazy food allergies and still made all the food flavorful and enjoyable for everyone. The servers were also amazing! Very professional and great attention to detail. Overall the best choice we made for our wedding!!! Thank you Sally Tomato for making our wedding meal perfect!!!

I absolutely love this place! One of my all time favorites when I’m in the area. You have to order the Asian nachos! ONEOF A KIND idea that the owners came up with. Great prices and atmosphere! You can never go wrong here! Bring all your friends and family, their is plenty of room!

Ok. Maybe I simply stumbled into the set up for a private event. The place was empty on a Friday afternoon. I ordered a cappuccino stout and was charged $ 8. People were yelling across the space, which with a concrete floor is pretty echoy and jarring. Not a pleasant, happy«happy hour» to be sure. Last time I was here I was welcomed and served well s and affordably. What has happened?

This place has changed so much. What used to be a great, relaxing and reasonable place to eat has now become a more«fancy» restaurant. We were surprised and a little disappointed. The menu is totally different. They don’t have a kids menu, and the new menu is not kid friendly at all. My kids don’t like mushrooms, capers etc. I asked if my son could just have the noodles w/butter on them. Our waitress(who was very nice) said that wouldn’t be a problem. The extremely small plate of pasta and butter came, and I thanked her for doing that for us. When we got the bill, I was shocked. They charged us the full price of the pasta dinner on the menu. I mentioned this to the waitress, and you could tell she thought that was not right. She said even though she knew it was less than half of a normal serving, with nothing but butter(the dish on the menu had chicken, mushrooms, sauce and a side) that when she asked her manager that is what he told her to charge. I wish she would have told me when I ordered, then it wouldn’t have been such a shock. We had 2 hamburger dinners, 1 French dip dinner, 1 salad, an extremely small plate of pasta and 5 soft drinks, and our bill was $ 82. Some may think that is reasonable, but for us it was not at all for what we got. On the plus side, the owner and everyone who works there is very nice. However, we probably will not be returning :(

This place is located in the old RP Hewlett Packard. Unfortunately the old HP cafeteria food was much better than the crap this place is serving up… Worst Mothers Day brunch ever, thanks Sloppy Tomatoes !!!

I had the misfortune of eating this garbage at an event, I ordered a very dry and overpriced wrap, the grounds for a concert suck, so does this food. It is possible to make high priced food taste good, not here

I have tried food from around the world literally I have been to Germany, Paris, Austria, Canada, Mexico, All over the US, and many more places, and the food here is Awsome. I have had my wedding reception here with catering, and had the catering for a different function, and the food is exceptional. The Staff is great and communicates well, Gérard is a great dude when we sat down he went over the tastings with us and made sure we got what we wanted and for the catering he made sure we had a complete meal without us even asking, he made sure there was everything we needed, all of the serving utensils and plates, napkins, ect. This place is definately highly recommended. Great Job and Thank You!!!

Good time at the comedy show last night , Tony Sparks and the comedians were great. But bad service from the bartender, my girl and I sat at the bar we had a couple of drinks each the bill was $ 42.00 gave the bartender 50.00 .then went into the show the waitress served us we payed her she was great then the bartender came to the table we ordered two whiskeys and a beer bill was $ 19.00 I gave her $ 40.00 so I could get change for a tip when she came back she put the money on the table in the bifold when I opened it there was $ 5.00 inside so I went and show her and she said there was more money than that inside, I asked her if she had any other tables where she dropped off money she said yes but she kept them right I ask her how much was in the other one she replied $ 5.00 ok she mixed them up no big deal but she still insisted she didn’t but she gave me $ 19.00 total it should’ve been $ 21.00 but I wasn’t going to argue with her .then I gave her a $ 10.00 tip I shouldn’t have. she had a bad attitude and didn’t thank me . I’ve been there about ten times always been good I’ll still go back but they need to get rid of this bartender not for her mistake but for her attitude.

Why I gave it 2 stars: service was great! Everyone was so friendly. They have plenty of space and you don’t feel crowded. Why I didn’t give it more stars: one word to describe my experience would be odd. It’s located in an industrial setting and just seems out of place. It’s cafeteria style where you order at a counter and they bring your food to you. Inside it looks like a bunch of rooms that meetings are held with a random cafeteria and bar in the center. The food was not great by any means, it was all pre made and didn’t have a lot of flavor. I wasn’t the only one who felt sick after dinner.

We hired Sally Tomatoes for our daughters wedding last weekend. They arrived at the venue on time; set up quickly and expertly; and assisted with clean up. Their attitudes toward the work were very positive and they worked well together as a team. The food was great. Everyone was happy with the variety and type of food(chicken BBQ and pulled pork sliders plus Suzanne salad and Caesar salad and macaroni and cheese for the 25+ little kids who came). We will be back. Thanks Gerard!

Worst. Service. Ever. I recommended this establishment tonight for a gathering among friends, and boy was I wrong for that. Not only did it take an HOUR for our appetizer to come up, even though there were only a handful(maybe five others) of patrons, but it came out burnt! The server didn’t even apologize, just continued to make excuses and point the finger at other employees. When placing our order, I asked if our entrées were going to take as long as the appetizer because my children were starving at this point. We were assured that it was just a ‘miscommunication’. Almost an hour later, our entrees came out; some cold, some burnt, some cold AND burnt. I had to box my food for later because my youngest was so tired, restless, and over the two hour wait that we had to endure for our food. The icing on the cake was when the bartender rudely confronted me as I was conversing with my daughter’s teammate/coach(the ONE other table) at another table and in full bitch mode asked if there was«something she could help me with». Ummm, yes please, decent service and a professional attitude? I’ve been a long time patron of this place, but it’s been going downhill every time I visit. The turnover of the staff is a real problem because the food is usually delicious, but the service is poor at best. I hope management gets it together and focuses more on the dinner service that they continue to open their doors for. Otherwise, shut it down and focus on the catering and events because it’s making a really bad name for their business. In a nutshell, go somewhere else.

We were referred to Sally Tomatoes, and we couldn’t have been happier to have them cater our wedding. We worked with Gerard to finalize our menu(he was extremely helpful with additional questions regarding beverage quantities etc.), and then Bill was onsite the day of the wedding. Both of the men are really fantastic at what they do, which made our wedding day so wonderful. We chose to do a Family Style meal, as we had 160 guests, and the service went flawlessly. Everyone at our wedding wouldn’t stop talking about how great the food tasted, which made me so so happy! I would highly recommend them to any family and friends getting married :)

The food is not great but the service is awful. The bartender hates to get me coffee because he has to walk for it. He makes me feel like I’m being a complete twat for asking for something that won’t get me drunk. IT is a good place for a big group. The owner is ultra-nice. I just wish it wasn’t a «put this color sauce on that type of carb» place.

My sister came into town to visit me and I took her to Napa Valley to do a little wine tasting and to ring in the new year 2015… I google to see what we can do while we were in the area… Sally Tomatoes pop up. There was going to be a New Year event going on… a 4 course dinner, 2 comedy show & dancing afterward to ring in the new year for $ 60 a person. We both thought it was such a good deal we bought our tickets. The food was yummmmmy!!! Ok, let me rephrase that. The beef filet mignon was delicious, it was a little bit red for me but it was delicious. Meal #1 — salad, it was ok. Meal #2 — beef filet mignon was delicious. Meal #3 — dessert, was ok. a chocolate chip cookie, top off with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Meal #4 — glass of champagne. So my sister & I didn’t know what to expect at Sally Tomatoes… When we arrived there, the majority of the people there were around the age of 40 and over. We both look at each other and felt a little bit out of place. To top it off, we were pretty much the only Asians in there. I felt like I was at a Company Holiday party all over again since Xmas had just past by not to long ago. We sat down, we ate our dinner and the comedy show started… The first comedian was Adam Pearlstein follow by Samantha Gilweit & Steve Ausburne… I didn’t find Adam & Samantha funny at all. Adam was a little bit better than Samantha. Her jokes were like, really, ewwww, It was more of ranting about her single life/single mother life. Her dirty laundry out of the bag. I didn’t care for it. The best comedian of the night was Steve Ausburne. He was really funny & I really enjoyed his show. The comedy show ended… the Girls & Boys band came on. They were great. The lead singer(the girl) has an awesome voice. My sister & I both ring in the new year and left to our hotel. Will I come back to Sally Tomatoes? It depends what they are hosting… Will I come back to ring in the new year for 2016, probably not… It was boring, the only fun part was watching & enjoying Steve Ausburne jokes…

We’ve eaten at Sally Tomatoes plenty of times and have always had a good experience. Our last experience was so great that it pushes this to a five star review. We had our wedding rehearsal dinner booked and ready to go, when the restaurant we had it booked with closed permanently and with no warning. And no phone call… we learned on Facebook that we better start looking for a new venue. We knew that Sally Tomatoes also does catering, so we called Gerard in a panic. Not only did he agree to cater our rehearsal dinner, but he did so at the last minute, with a great menu of chicken parm, a delicious penne pasta, Caesar salad and garlic bread. He did it for a super reasonable price, and he even delivered it to our rehearsal site, a good 30 minute drive from his restaurant. On a Friday night. ABOVEANDBEYONDAWESOME food and customer service. I will not stray from Sally Tomatoes for any of my catering needs, and we’ll keep going back for regular dinners too. Thank you Gerard.

Sally Tomatoes provides wonderful service and food. I have know both Gerard and Bill for almost ten years. I have personally witnessed their business grow and become the success it is, not because they serve bad food or provide terrible service… no business can succeed if what they have to offer isn’t worthy. The core values of this company are about meeting the customers needs and to support its community. They have provided their wonderful food to many functions that I have hosted. Anywhere from a lunch at my office, a Christmas party to my daughters wedding in 2010. I have had nothing but the greatest experience. Sally Tomatoes started out as a small catering service in downtown Cotati and have grown to be a valuable power partner with Codding Enterprises to help develop Sonoma Mountain Village, where we now can enjoy a awesome concert venue and a Marketplace. They have donated countless hours and food from the kindness of their hearts to support schools, non profits and families in need in our community, never asking for anything in return. Its just who they are. They volunteer their time to help make Rohnert Park a better place to want to live and visit. I highly recommend Sally Tomatoes to everyone I know. And for those of you that have posted a negative review, I am sorry that you feel the way you do, however my experiences have always been incredible and my expectations have always been met and more.

Went here for the first time last night and it was quite a disappointment. If I could have returned my food before eating it, I would have. This place gets great reviews and is marketed like it’s a restaurant, so it seemed like it should be a solid option. Sadly, it’s more of a cafeteria/bar setting and the food was comparable to the pre-made stuff you can pick up at the grocery store. I’ve had better food at hole-in-the-wall bars. I ordered the cobb salad for pick-up, the Asian chicken salad, and buffalo wings to share with my husband. Upon pick-up, the Asian chicken salad had come from a cold case and looked like it had been there for days. I was told the cobb salad was made fresh, but when I got home(only a few blocks away), I discovered it to be a small portion of lettuce, watered down blue cheese dressing, and other typical cobb salad ingredients, all being on the sad side in appearance. The buffalo wings were overcooked and nothing to write home about. I wish I could say that I’d give this place another chance, but the food last night was so terrible, I’d rather not risk a repeat poor experience. I don’t know what the catering is like, but based on the food I had last night, I wouldn’t consider them for catering. I was really hoping this place would be great because it’s so close to home, but it was not. Bummer.

Sally Tomatoes catered my 75 person wedding and I could not be happier with how everything turned out. Gerard was very easy to get in touch with(which is so important to me) and walked me through all the questions I had. He was matter of fact and not defensive during the taste testing and really put together a menu I enjoyed. The day of ran very well. The staff was on time, professional and handled everything without involving me, which allowed me to really enjoy being a bride. They were also enthusiastic and helpful to my guests. On top of that the food was great! We got so many compliments from our guests. I certainly recommend Sally Tomatoes for their catering.
