Charlotte of Bluebird Gardens handled /coordinated the creation of a memory quilt for my son, consisting of pictures and letters sent by his relatives, printed on fabric, «framed» by other fabric, and incorporated in the quilt. The end result is gorgeous. It is a thin quilt, suitable for use in most weather, not a heavy comforter; you could hang it on a wall. For those who look at the date of my earlier review and this one — first, I knew they were backlogged when I began the order, and second there was a delay before I got her the letters and pictures to go on the squares. Some of the delay was on their end also, but a lot was on mine(and some of theirs was due to unusually bad winter weather!). I am very pleased with the quilt that I got and the price was fair; not a spectacular bargain, but reasonable for the work that goes into this. The originals that I sent her were returned with the finished quilt, in excellent shape. The one disappointment I had with the process is that communication was sometimes lacking. When delays occurred due to weather(the exceptionally bad weather this winter prevented her from picking up the quilt-top from the woman doing the piece-work for a week or two, for example), she didn’t proactively tell me — so after long radio silences when I didn’t expect them, I’d send an email for an update. The explanation was always fine and I understood the delay, but without knowing that(for example) the piecing and quilting are done by two different people, I didn’t know to expect the weather to impact progress on the quilt. The other issue I had was that their web site was a little confusing to navigate, but the owner was very responsive to emails with questions and linked me right to the item that I needed to select for what I wanted to get with the quilt. :)
