Loved the ambience and the nice little bar. Clean. Nice décor. Décor; current. And doesn’t smell too badly of stale and spilled booze. I’d sit here and enjoy a couple of drinks for sure. Oh, and the house made beer was pretty good too

I’ve long been a fan of the original Bigby’s in Addison, which is closer to home anyway. But when meeting a friend from the north side, the Rolling Meadows location made the most sense. It’s everything you love about Bigby’s in a converted Caribou. Cozy with plenty of tables and a few comfy chairs. It doesn’t have outdoor seating yet but that’s OK. I think the original might have a touch more charm, but you can’t go wrong here — great beer, friendly staff, good food options, comfortable surroundings. Yay for Bigby’s.

I was in the area and wanted to go to a local bar to hang out for a little bit before dinner. I remembered that there was this location similar to the one by me in Addison. It’s a corner business on a strip mall. When we came in it was a nice atmosphere. When we got seated, it was a cool looking table it had a whole bunch of beer caps as part of the décor. I ordered their cider beer which was crispy sweet and cold. Hubby got the lucky monk beer which was was dark and smooth. We tried their cheese platter that had four types of cheeses, Brie, cranberry cheese, spicy cheddar, and another hard tangy cheers. It also came with seasoned pita bread slices along with some dried fruits and pumpkin seeds. Our server was very knowledgeable of the type of beers they have as well as recommendations of what you want to taste. You can also ask to sample some beers just decide what you want to order. Staff is friendly place was clean, music wasn’t overly loud good place to hang out and chill. They also have board games to play. Overall it’s a nice place to hang out and chill. I will come back hear again.

Amazing local bar with a great chill vibe to just relax and have a great drink. They always have a line up of craft beers that change almost daily. Bartenders are always super nice and the fireplace is always nice to warm up to on a cold night. Probably one of the best local small bar in the northwest suburbs.

The finest tending of a bar in all of Rolling Meadows. Their beer list is very mixed among styles and producers. Always something for everyone. There’s even a $ 1,000 Bud Lite, if that’s your sock up-and-downer. Stop by for some Pig Minds, or Firestone, Bell’s, Ballast Point, shit… The list goes on and on. The best thing is that they are chill as fuck. You can graffiti all over the bathroom wall… With chalk. The vending machines have a bunch of shit that you’ll find interesting after a peanut butter bacon and shiracha flatbread and a Pipeworks. The bottle cap bar is mesmerizing and full of imperfuckingfections… Cheap bastards. The water they pour is straight out of an IKEA hydration dispenser, so you know it’s fragrant. Save your quarters and drop ‘em in the MEGA-SUPER-DUPER Arcade game, packed with Pac Man, Galaga, and shit-tonne more of classic video games. Come here. Drink. Have a designated driver, damnit.

Great beer selection… but WAY overpriced. The bartenders are nice, but again it’s just so fricken expensive. Be prepared to spend at least $ 20 with tip for 2 beers.

This place is great and is my local hang out. I’ve gotten to know the business/owner/staff from the original Addison location, and the second location is as good if not better!(closer to my house, so I might be slightly biased) For the beer nerds, they almost always have something new, exciting or hard to find on tap. For people new to beer, they also have a selection of standard, approachable beers and a knowledgable staff to help navigate the menu. All in all, a great beer bar in the suburbs which is something we always need more of!

Great décor. The fireplace is a wonderful touch. We were there on a weeknight, and the entire place was completely empty. The beer selection is nice and I think everything is fairly well priced.

Tonight was the first time I’ve been to the Rolling Meadows location. I really like the layout, and prefer it over the Addison location, even just in terms of acoustics. The bartenders were knowledgeable and great to offer suggestions.(Because I know pretty much nothing about beer other than too hoppy is no bueno.) The cute tatted up bartender in the hat even(politely) corrected my friend on his purported craft beer knowledge. Based on my preferences, he suggested I try wheat beers. They had what seems like a good selection(at $ 6 – 8 or so), and even though the first beer I had was more tame than I was looking for, the rest were right up my alley. When we finished, we were even nicely offered waters as we finished up our conversation. Even though the Addison is the original and also closer to home, I think I might enjoy the Rolling Meadows location more based on proximity to other restaurants in the area(= great spot right after dinner). Cheers!

Great place! Stopped here after work for a beer and tasted some of Chicago’s finest among some very friendly people! Being from CA I had a lot of questions and they were answered with ease by the bartender and locals around me. I also got tips on where else to go in Chicago. Very cool spot for a beer. I’m planning to go back next week!

I loved the Bigby’s in Addison, so I’m glad they opened one right down the street from my work! This location is pretty similar to the one in Addison. Great rotating selection of beers on draft and bottled, a few wines and liquors, eclectic décor, and awesome service. Just like the other location, you can vote for beers that you want to bring back. They have a few food items(mostly flat breads/pizzas) that are tasty. They had board games, chess, 2 TVs(one is a projector screen) to watch games, and fun music. What more could you want? I’m loving it.

This place is great. We’ve made this a regular stop before my sons hockey games — always great service, great beers, great apps and good people. They’ve done a nice job giving this place personality even though it’s in a strip mall.

I stopped by Bigby’s Pour House on a Friday evening to grab a drink with a friend and this place was poppin’! Who knew a bar in the burbs would be this busy?(Clearly not me since I’m usually in bed early on a Friday night since I’m a grandma.) When we walked in, the bartender welcomed us and told us the beer/wine choices were up on the chalkboard. They have a nice selection of craft beers and even wine options. I chose to have the 3 Floyds Gumballhead and my friend got a porter which he wasn’t the biggest fan of since it was a little sour/tangy. The atmosphere here was pretty relaxed and nice and they had the Hawks game on. They have tables, seating at the bar, and random lazy boy recliner type seats which was where we were at. Service was very good; the bartenders checked on us multiple times throughout the night which I wasn’t really expecting but was pleasantly surprised. If you’re looking for a bar with good brews to hang out at but don’t feel like going all the way into the city, definitely check out Bigby’s Pour House.

I’m definitely coming back! I felt like I was in a Korean coffee shop(great atmosphere and lots of fun board games). Bigby’s Pour House has several beer and wine options(I found a new favorite here!), but no food. If you’re hungry, just grab some food before heading over. Otherwise, it was a great place to just hang out, play some board games(we played Jenga, Mancala, & Trouble) while relaxing and enjoying some drinks. They have tables, you can sit at the bar, or there are also a few couches. Leave your mark in the bathroom before you leave — with chalk. :)

The Bigby’s location in Addison(the original) is my favorite bar out in the suburbs — and I was thrilled when they opened up a second location less than 10 minutes from my parents’ house. This location is definitely a little bit different in terms of ambiance — the original is very cozy and a little dark; the new location in RM used to be a Caribou Coffee, so there is one whole wall of floor to ceiling windows, which obviously changes the feel of the place up a little bit. But overall the décor and vibe of the Rolling Meadows location is fantastic — the bar top and most of the tables were hand-made by the team using gads and gads of beer bottle tops they had been collecting from the original location for the last few years. The bar also has a good selection of board games, similar to the original. The staff is awesome as well — super laid back and knowledgeable about the beers they are currently featuring. You can get a small taste of any beer on draft for free — which definitely is nice when you are trying new beers you haven’t had before. They currently don’t have a food menu(working on getting the right licenses to serve food), however the plan is to roll out the popular menu items from the original location(various flat breads, apps, and of course the muddy pig and smores flatbread). In the interim, they have some menus from local business you can order from and either pick up or have delivered to the bar. Special shout out to bartender«Tyrone» Michael who took care of us the last time we were in. Will definitely be back a lot when I’m in the burbs and looking for some good craft beer to quench my thirst.

Lots of applause for Bigby’s for opening a second location. Most popular places will keep one location, fill it beyond capacity, and not care how comfortable you are. Clearly this is not the case for Bigby’s, where you will find an extensive list of beer on tap and in bottles, served by some of the friendliest and down to earth bartenders I have EVER encountered. With a cozy fireplace(remaining from the old Caribou Coffee) and ever-changing taps, Bigby’s has already become somewhat of an addiction for two of my «beer snob» friends who seem to know everything there is to know about craft beer and, of course, Bigby’s. Sarah S. invited me here on a Friday night, and when I showed up around 8:00 p.m., the place was in full swing. It was busy but not packed. Sure, the later you get there, you *might* have some trouble with a table, but you will certainly not be shoulder-to-shoulder. Rumor is there might be a patio coming in too, but that’s not too handy — yet. Anyway, I only had two beers while I was here. The Jolly Pumpkin draft was really good, even though it wasn’t pumpkin flavored(oops. my mistake. It’s the name of a BREWERY.) The Stiegl Grapefruit Radler is one of my all-time favorite beers, because there’s a total absence of hops or malty flavor. It’s a light beer ideal for summertime, and it kind of tastes like soda. I have to once again give credit to the bartenders. They’re so courteous and on top of their game. I have never had a bartender look at me and then look past me. Bigby’s is a laid back place where I feel so welcome, even if I’m not a real beer aficionado.

ROLLINGMEADOWSHAS A BAR!!! yes! and the best bar they could have picked! I love that they have selections you wouldn’t normally see at restaurants or other bars. The guys are awesome and so nice(they even remembered us from their soft opening weekend!) They also have a few games you can play(jenga, uno, apples to apples) Definitely check this place out, it may be small but its okay!

Bigby’s has finally come to Rolling Meadows! After months of anticipation, I’m happy to know the doors of Bigby’s are open — AND! It’s the first bar in Rolling Meadows EVAAAAH! As a Rolling Meadows resident, I’m fearful I’m going to be here way more than I should but… it’s just that good. I’m actually a bit hesitant writing this review because at this point I don’t think many people know about this second Bigby’s location and it’s not too busy just yet. Stay away from my new favorite spot!!! ;) Many know the OG Bigby’s in Addison as the holy grail for craft beer lovers in the ‘Burbs. Not only does it have the best beer selection in all of Chicagoland but the atmosphere is so chill, they have fun board games and the people that all work there are great. Curious what the Rolling Meadows location would have in store, I stopped in last night to see how it compared to the original location. It’s everything Addison is and more. At least in my mind and most of the ‘and more’ is probably because it’s 15 minutes closer to home for me. Rolling Meadows Bigby’s also seems a bit bigger to me. I don’t know if it’s because they are actually more tables(maybe a couple) or because 2 full walls are windows giving it a more airy & open feel. I was really happy that aside from the window walls, it still has that Bigby’s décor I’ve come to love — wood everywhere, shelves of bottles, casual but clean beer lover’s wonderland. I’m a dork because I thought one of the coolest things was the chalk in the bathroom! You best believe I made my mark. I was psyched to see Bourbon County Stout on tap! That 15% will knock you on your booty and is oh-so-delicious. I can always count on Bigby’s to have new & exciting beers for me to try, as well as stocking classics some of my less adventurous friends love — I’m looking at you Gumballhead, Dragon’s Milk & Not Your Father’s Root Beer. Bigby’s stays on top of their updates on so if you’re curious what they have on tap, take a gander. Right now, Bigby’s is BYOF(Bring Your Own Food) and great news — Sushi Station is right next door! Order some carry out & bring it in to Bigby’s to have with your beer. If fish blobs ain’t your thang, no worries — there are TONS of food options in this area on the corner of Golf & Algonquin. In talking with the very attentive bartender last night, they have plans for food at this location eventually. That and also craft cocktails! He made sure to be clear that doesn’t mean no jack n coke — no, no, the fancy shmancy concoctions though I’m sure they will still be down with the Bigby’s twist. They don’t have the pebble voting system yet but dude let us know that’s just because they haven’t gone through much liqs yet! Once they do, you will be able to place pebbles in which beers you’d like them to order. Gotta love the way they honor the wishes of their clientele. Everything about Bigby’s is friggin fantastic and I’ve already made plans to come back soon. When my homie CG told me about their plans to open up shop in my Rolling Meadows hood many months ago, I didn’t believe it! Never could such a miraculous opening occur in my tame & tepid town. BUTALAS! ITHASCOMETH!
