A&W Restaurant

It has been along time since I ate at an A&W and I must say I’m very disappointed in this experience I had. When I got to the counter I pulled out a gift card I had for this place and the first thing I was told was that they can’t except my gift card at that time. I then asked why. He then explained it was because his manager did not want to take them. This made me very upset but I was not going to let that stop me from getting the burger and root beer I was craving. I then ordered the double bacon cheeseburger with fries and a frosty mug for root beer. When he handed me my mug I went straight to the famous root beer on tap and when I pulled the tap down and found out it was broken. I wondered how it could be that this machine could be broken it is one of the staples for A&W and was one of the main reasons I came here. It me even more upset that I had to settle for the root beer from the fountain machine which is gross compared to tap. A good thing thou was that my food came up quick because I was starving. The burger I had calmed me a little it was cooked good and tasted like I remember and was delicious and filling and the fries are always good because it’s hard to mess those up. While I was eating I looked around the restaurant and noticed it was gross it looked like no one ever cleaned it or if they did they did it with a dirty rag or something. Now I do find this ironic because when I was ordering my food I noticed they had a plaque on the wall for being the cleanest restaurant. I feel they should take it down until they get things back in order. This may very well be the first and last time I come to this location and if I do I may just use the drive thru.
