I felt like I was in a scene from Napoleon Dynamite. I’m still not sure if that’s a good or a bad thing. Floyd Bowling & Amusement Center is a throwback to the eighties for sure. I don’t think anything has been updated since this bowling alley was built circa 1980. It’s your typical AMF lanes from yesteryear — ancient shoes, old bowling balls, disco balls and black lights for cosmic bowling, pool tables, air hockey, and bowling alley food to surely be avoided. Yes, this is bowling. It was $ 2.50/hour plus $ 2.50 rental for shoes when we went on a Saturday afternoon. To put that in perspective, my Miller Light was $ 3. It brought back many great memories of nights spent at the bowling alley never breaking 100 when I was in high school. Bowling alleys have gotten a lot fancier and trendier(at least in Atlanta), but my bowling skills have remained the same. Can I get a 56? If I got taken to Floyd Bowling & Amusement Center on a first date, I can assure you there would be no second date, but for some cheap good clean fun then this place is great.

Good fun for the family or on a date night. They have black light bowling, pool tables, and video games. The video screens for your bowling scores are fairly old and hard to read at times.
