My boyfriend and I went into the clover yesterday morning for breakfast. We were greeted by a few very friendly girls and one showed us to our seat. The décor and atmosphere was nothing to look at and they definitely need some updating in that department. However our waitress was warm and welcoming and very friendly and cheerful. She told us the specials and told us that all the food was homemade and wonderful. She recommended a few items on the menu and we both decided on a few items on the specials menu. At the time, we were the only customers in the restaurant and our food took a little while.(Breakfast food is usually quickly made) but we were pleasantly surprised and the food came out great when it finally Came out It was delicious and our waitress was very attentive and kept our coffee nice and warm with refills! The only other thing I would say is the breakfast food was a bit expensive but worth it since the cook makes everything from scratch(as told from our waitress). We will definitely be back

The best bacon cheeseburger I have ever had in my life! The fries are excellent! Mushroom stew worldwide should bow down to the Mushroom stew they make here! No beer but they make breakfast all day! I plan on eating thru their entire menu before you do!

We had moved to Rome and were lookign for a good place for breakfast. This was not far away. Best breakfast we have had in a long time. Not much of a selection, but the portions are plentiful. The prices are very reasonable. Two of us ate a very filing breakfast for under $ 15.

I am a sucker for small businesses and mom and pop shops! I walked in and was greeted by the host… our server was very sweet! I got eggs with home fries and rye bread toast! Awesome awesome awesome! Potatoes had a little too much garlic salt but not bad enough to not eat them! The coffee and tea were great too! I highly recommend this place for breakfast!

Great family style restaurant in Rome, I was passing through on my way home from the Adirondacks and stopped in the afternoon. They served me breakfast after the time they normally would, and everything was delicious. Great little restaurant, food, service, atmosphere, everything was amazing! Five stars

Best kept secret of Rome. Stumbled upon this place by accident, had passed by it many times not seeing it there. From the outside looks like a bar, however it is one of the best restaurants in Rome. Family owned and operated. Great home cooked meals, not standard frozen garbage found at most places these days. You will find the owner/chef coming out to great you and check on your meal. Great specials every day, affordable prices, wonderful staff.

Was looking for a non-chain restaurant for breakfast in Rome and found The Clover. Friendly and family owned with an Irish flavor, I had a hearty breakfast of eggs, sausages and excellent potato pancakes.
